In my winter of discontent I nearly lose my eternal optimism, that
things will get better for all the people that need help in our world for various reasons. Maybe it’s just me, but when I see so much attention given to sports in our newspaper and television with all the money involved with less and less attention given to academics with less and less money involved I get upset.
Adult sized men playing a child’s game, with owners of the teams becoming immensely wealthy and various cities allowing them to do whatever they want in these cities. The government and politicians paying; homage to the teams and the owners; as if they had done something really great and worthwhile. It is wonderful for children to be involved in sports, but not to the extent that it has become.
Sports does not make a school great, academics does. People, parents, friends and neighbors pay more attention to your children and their schoolwork than you do to which school has the best team. All children like to play sports, some are better at it than others, but it has gotten to the point that if you aren’t the best player, so that your team will win, no matter how you play the game you do not get to play, but they expect them to go watch and support the other players, even though they tell you, you aren’t good enough to play. Support the team above all else! How about we just support the English Club, the French Club, the Science Club, the History Club, the Math Club, the Music Club, the Biology Club, anything to do with learning in lieu of playing a game where many get broken bones, teeth knocked out, skulls fractured, some injured for life. There are sports that are less dangerous than team sports chasing a ball and knocking each other around. Tennis, a one on one or a doubles team, a swim team, they are less likely to get hurt and they are sports one can play even into their old age, but academics should be at the top of all children’s
criteria, and that of their parents not sports.
I didn’t forget golf, which I have found to be a useless sport.
Exercise, maybe but there are other ways than out knocking a ball
around with a stick, pardon me, a club, but many found a way to
make a moneymaking thing out of that. Again, it is a game of luck
you don’t always stay on top, next go around someone else wins.
Don’t waste your time and money on professional sports, none of the money they pay those players will rub off on you, nor will any the owners make off you, your tickets and junk you buy from advertising, plus the food they sell at an awful price. Unless you are a gambler and bet on the games, at times they also lose.
Something I learned over the years. Sports is a game of LUCK, when both teams are good, the outcome is strictly luck. No matter how much the players and the coach are paid, it will not change the outcome of the game. No matter how much your, team is touted as being the best in newspapers or television, does not make it so, that’s why one team doesn’t remain on top year after year. You win some you lose some, that’s how it should be. Everything about sports has become a moneymaking entity with a lot of bad sportsmanship involved, from grade school through college to professional sports.

An Auction, Not An Election:
It is not like a game of sports, where both teams are good, but the outcome is strictly luck. No matter how much the players are paid it will not change the outcome of the game. As I have watched daily the game of our political campaigns. It is a matter of whom the most convincing liars with the most money and an insatiable hunger and greed for power that might win this auction of our government.
The amount of money and time spent in this campaign is enough to make a decent person sick to their stomach. This campaign started when Barack Obama was elected President. Instead of working for the citizens of this country, the Republicans and some Democrats sat on their hands and their royal rear ends and did nothing but fight against everything he has tried to do. They weren’t interested in our country and the damnable mess it was in, they were interested only in satisfying the whims of their wealthy friends and the large corporations and holding onto their status quo in the congress.
They enlisted all the old rabble-rousers, the people that stirs up the passions and prejudices of the public for his or her own interests, a demagogue (person or political leader, who gains power by arousing people’s emotions and prejudices). Many of these were old men that were not reelected in the past years, but had become so addicted to the power of politics that they couldn’t give it up and go home and just really do some good for their communities, no such luck, they had to have that spotlight back on them again. Most of the one’s I watched didn’t do anything worth a damn all the years they were in congress. We had a bunch and still do in congress that, aren’t worth the powder it would take to blow
them to hell. Want their names?
A bunch of lily-livered pasty faced old men, (except one who plays
golf a lot or uses the tanning bed) that have done nothing but get
into politics and live off the land, not farming or anything worthwhile,
but live off the taxpayer’s, sort of federal welfare, but they sure hate
it when people who have been disenfranchised really need welfare. We also have a new breed of women that have become a disgusting sight to behold. They just like the limelight, also, not to help our country, just to do a bunch of mouthing and half the time don’t know what they are talking about, maybe to hear the sound of their voice or their heads roar or see themselves on television and in papers or just to hear their names mentioned. To many people they were convincing liars and were paid well too.
Well the Auction is over and the GOP won part of the House, but not all the Senate, as they wanted. Got some new GOP Governors too.
Nothing will get done for the next two years, as they will start now, today November 3rd, campaigning for the 2012 election, to try and make sure President Obama is a, one-term president. The only time they will spend working is trying to undo everything that has been done this last, nearly two years. The GOP Governors will be spending taxpayer money trying to repeal healthcare and the finance reform bills. So we will see how they fare in 2012, as again they will be the party of NO for the majority of the citizens of this country, the ones with no money to give them.

Our War Machine Builders:
Hey, some of you smart people, tell me how our big war machine builders make their money? Who pays them to make all of the war machines for the United States? Who gives them the big contracts to build them for us? Our government with our money! At who’s request? Our big warmongers in our government that want to help their wealthy corporate friends! Then what do we do with them? We send all this equipment overseas to be used to fight a war against people that never attacked us, like Iraq and Afghanistan. It is blown up along with our soldier’s and the citizen’s of those countries. They aren’t protecting us; they are filling the pockets of all the big conglomerates all over this country and overseas in every imaginable way. We have drained our Treasury and broke this country on the whims of a bunch of corrupt, greedy and power hungry American men. There was not an Iraqi or an Afghanistan in the bunch that ‘supposedly’ came here on 9/11. Every country has a militaristic criminal element.

In fact all of his family is still there doing business with the United States through the Carlyle Group with Bushes and friends. He might have gotten on the wrong side of some one in Saudi Arabia and had to leave town for a while, but he still gets his money from there. Isn’t it strange that the countries that want do business with the US, like Saddam in Iraq and Afghanistan (some factions), get blown to smithereens, plus what we tried to do to Iran (Iran-contra) and the Kurds at one time. Go back and note the other little countries that didn’t want to be ruled by the US that got the shaft over these many years. Strange isn’t it that our big capitalist get along so well with the Saudi Arabia and their leaders are some of the sorriest people in the world. But we go right over and brown nose whenever they holler.

Let The World Stand Still
On this eventful day, let’s hope that the world will stand still for a time and hope that all the people in the world will reflect on our past and think about the future. What we want for our individual, selves that, is best for us, and our families, each and every one of us throughout the world. Hope for peace and prosperity, without the avarice that so many people are consumed with.
Stop the hate and wars. The same Creator made this world for us to live in peace and love one another. Remember your religion and your love of your God is between you and him, no one else. There is no go between when its time for you to meet your maker. It is a walk you have to do alone. Don’t let wrong minded people ruin your life. Live your life, as you know your God would want you too. Do unto others, as you would have others do unto you, is a good way to pass through our time in this world. Each one of us who do not follow this rule, are the ones who lose in the end.
So many people have allowed hate, bigotry, prejudice and greed to corrupt themselves and everyone and everything that they touch. Surely they can dig deep down inside and find some truth, kindness and integrity in their soul. Let us hope so.

I quit giving to them during world war 11, when an enlisted man was shipped overseas and his wife with one small child and pregnant with another, needed to go back to their hometown and asked for money for a bus ticket and they refused her. (My husband and I didn’t)
Brian Gallagher, President of the United Way receives a $375,000 base salary, plus numerous expense benefits. (I quit giving to them in 1968, which is a long story also)
UNICEF CEO receives $1,200,000 per year plus all expenses and a ROLLS ROYCE where ever he goes and only cents of your dollar goes to the cause. (And, they use little children to collect for them on Halloween)
The Salvation Army’s Commissioner Todd Bassett receives a salary of only $13,000 per year (plus housing) for managing this $2 billion dollar organization. That is the one to give to. Over the years I have given directly to people that I know are in need or organizations that are small and I know individuals involved and are for needy and handicapped children.
Like some Religions it seems Charities are a great business to be in!!!!!

2010 Revolution
We the poor and middle class had a revolution in 2008. Now is the time for the revolution of 2010. We have two more years to finish what we voted for. We have achieved some of the things we wanted but not all, but more than we did under any republican regime and we know what else needs to be done. Many are frustrated by the pace of our progress we have accomplished some of our goals, with no help from the republicans and some of the democrats. We knew that it would not be easy. We citizens have become so accustomed to everything being done by a push of a button and getting everything done in a hurry. We didn’t walk into a nice office with everything in place and just start to work. It was a hellhole of corruption and unimaginable problems. Frankly the Republican Party and big corporations liked it that way and did not want a change. They do not want 75% of the citizens of this country involved in our government. Very special interests have stood in the way of change at every turn and want their conservative allies in control of Congress. And they are doing it with the help of billionaires and corporate special interests underwriting shadowy advertising campaign ads. Of all organizations to become involved in politics, the Chamber of Commerce, ‘An association of merchants and other business leaders who organize to promote the commercial interests in a given area and whose group is generally affiliated with the national organization.’ Yes we have let our voting privileges become a commercial interest. We have money coming from foreign countries that we have outsourced businesses to, by way of the Chamber of Commerce. You want to vote Republican, Go Ahead
But remember when we the poor and middle class Americans,
seventy-five percent of us were the working people of this
country. We were the farmers, builders, manufacturing employees, truck drivers, clerks, service people for all the small businesses and the big businesses. The firemen, policemen, teachers, nurses, technicians for all the medical and dental offices and hospitals, nursing homes, caregivers, mechanics, office workers, whatever needed to be done, we did it.
THEN: Between the influx of the capitalist, republican politicians and technology, we started loosing ground, as all they were interested in was their bottom line, war, taking over other countries to gain access to all things of value, more for their bottom line. Poor things they had to pay more to American employees, because we had worked so hard to get unions for the workingman, so as to protect us in many ways. Big business really hated that and the fight began. The fight is still going on. To get around having to use union workers they figured out, lets just ship all our manufacturing plants into countries that do not have unions and the employees work for little or nothing (they had figured out that these people whom they had always considered dumb and ignorant were really very educable and could learn even though they were different) as they had nothing, would work for just enough to be able to eat, clothe and house themselves.
This was really, great for corporations. Low wages, no benefits, no taxes or very low taxes, then ship the finished product back to the United States, no trade deal, as they were American owned companies and then sell the product to the American people for the same damn price they had charged us when the American people were making the product. Profits they made could be put in offshore tax havens and not pay taxes to the US on all their loot! And Phil Gramm of UBS can handle their other monies in the elite private banks of UBS for the American Icons. Neat huh? Their bottom line has really grown and now they are ready to take over the United States, with the help of our republicans, who have by the way had their bottom line flourish, by lobbyist of the corporations and stock in all them.
When they reduce all of the working people of the poor and middle class to the same level, as the countries they have outsourced to, or the level of slave labor that the south had those many years ago, furnishing you or maybe paying you enough to buy food to be able to work, clothes to cover your backsides and a shack to live in. No benefits or education privileges, no Social Security, Medicare or unemployment insurance (people will have to work until they die) and no unions. Then they will build new manufacturing plants back in the United States for us to work in, of course they will keep the outsourced plants where they are.
If any of you remember your history. There was a time that they brought people from China, Japan, Mexico and many foreign countries to work in the United States and treated them the same way. I think to myself at times, maybe the Chinese remember their history and one of these days, it might be payback time.
We became a great county, but in doing so, we have gone into other countries, along with England, France, Spain and others and exploited, what is considered third world countries and become immensely wealthy, but left the people desolate. China might not be the only ones remembering their history and decide it is payback time. The bearded fellow from the Bin Laden family got fed up with the westerners.

SOCIAL SECURITY:
We hear all these Tea Party nuts and some Republicans talking
about revamping the Social Security system. The village Idiot,
when, he was in office wanted to privatize it. These new ones want to eliminate it altogether. One of our local fellows said the Democrats want to fix it and they want to raise the retirement age to 105. He always exaggerates a little. Many define it as an entitlement. It is the Federal Insurance Contribution Act (FICA) an insurance program paid out of wages. Benefits are distributed according to the amount paid in and years worked.
I am going to quote from a former Social Security Administration employee, in regard to the ‘looting’ of Social Security by our previous head honcho’s. We have had outright criminal theft from lower and middle class workers. Social Security is a flat tax, so deductions begin with the first dollar of wages each year. Deductions continue up to a ceiling. In 1981, when Ronald Reagan became president, that ceiling was $29,700. When Reagan left office it was $48,000. Today it is slightly over $100,000. When that ceiling is reached, which happens only to the richest Americans, it’s like receiving a huge tax cut. The exception is Medicare, for which there is no wage ceiling. That deduction is about 1.5 percent plus a matching amount from the employer. Healthcare for our oldest, sickest, neediest citizens costs 3 percent in the public sector. For the younger, healthier segments of society it is 17 percent of GDP.
Under Reagan the percentage of deductions increased by 25 percent. In effect, there was a 55 percent tax increase on lower-and-middle-class workers. That is the largest tax increase in history and the largest redistribution of wealth upward. The mainstream media missed that one too.
The final turn of the knife is the interest paid on the bonds bought by surplus Social Security contributions. Reagan used the bond money to conceal the costs of tax cuts for the wealthy and a massive military buildup to spend the Soviet Union into the Stone Age. Since nothing substantial or revenue-generating was acquired with the funds, that interest plus the principal must be paid back out of current income taxes. Part of a worker’s income taxes goes to replacing his own previous Social Security contributions. (Harold Taggart)
I quote again, this time from William Greider, things missed by many of us over the years, with various finagling going on with all this extra money in our ‘trust’ fund. Targeting Social Security to cover the deficits caused by bailing out Wall Street and fighting two was at once is a great injustice that will not prevail if people awaken to the threat. Both political parties collaborated back in 1983 to produce this huge and regressive tax increase on working people. The media remained silent because; it was done by ‘bipartisan commission’ chaired by Alan Greenspan. Does that sound familiar? Barack Obama and the governing elites in both parties are contemplating a repeat performance.
Ronald Reagan was famously against tax increases of any kind, but his budget director, David Stockman, talked him into supporting this one by assuring the Gipper that if the payroll tax was increased by 25 percent, it would turn people against Social Security and eventually destroy the system. That was okay with the Gipper! Why do wealthy people want to destroy what little ‘pensions’ we receive after a lifetime of paying for it.
I note the similarity between the federal government, states and cities. Anytime there is a designated fund that has money sitting in it, waiting to be distributed for the purpose it is there, who ever has jurisdiction over this good stuff, wants to take it out and put it in their slush fund or petty cash box.

It is the Federal Insurance Contribution Act (FICA) an insurance program paid out of wages. Benefits are distributed according to the amount paid in and years worked.
I am going to quote from a former Social Security Administration employee, in regard to the ‘looting’ of Social Security by our previous head honcho’s. We have had outright criminal theft from lower and middle class workers. Social Security is a flat tax, so deductions begin with the first dollar of wages each year. Deductions continue up to a ceiling. In 1981, when Ronald Reagan became president, that ceiling was $29,700. When Reagan left office it was $48,000. Today it is slightly over $100,000. When that ceiling is reached, which happens only to the richest Americans, it’s like receiving a huge tax cut. The exception is Medicare, for which there is no wage ceiling. That deduction is about 1.5 percent plus a matching amount from the employer. Healthcare for our oldest, sickest, neediest citizens costs 3 percent in the public sector. For the younger, healthier segments of society it is 17 percent of GDP.
Under Reagan the percentage of deductions increased by 25 percent. In effect, there was a 55 percent tax increase on lower-and-middle-class workers. That is the largest tax increase in history and the largest redistribution of wealth upward. The mainstream media missed that one too.
The final turn of the knife is the interest paid on the bonds bought by surplus Social Security contributions. Reagan used the bond money to conceal the costs of tax cuts for the wealthy and a massive military buildup to spend the Soviet Union into the Stone Age. Since nothing substantial or revenue-generating was acquired with the funds, that interest plus the principal must be paid back out of current income taxes. Part of a worker’s income taxes goes to replacing his own previous Social Security contributions. (Harold Taggart)
I quote again, this time from William Greider, things missed by many of us over the years, with various finagling going on with all this extra money in our ‘trust’ fund. Targeting Social Security to cover the deficits caused by bailing out Wall Street and fighting two was at once is a great injustice that will not prevail if people awaken to the threat. Both political parties collaborated back in 1983 to produce this huge and regressive tax increase on working people. The media remained silent because; it was done by ‘bipartisan commission’ chaired by Alan Greenspan. Does that sound familiar? Barack Obama and the governing elites in both parties are contemplating a repeat performance.

I note the similarity between the federal government, states and cities. Anytime there is a designated fund that has money sitting in it, waiting to be distributed for the purpose it is there, who ever has jurisdiction over this good stuff, wants to take it out and put it in their slush fund or petty cash box.

They take advantage of the people, by giving them drugs free; and when they get them hooked, then put them to work selling to other unsuspecting people, thereby making huge profits for their coffers, as the people from the United States don’t have anything worthwhile to do other than get high, really like to buy their drugs. Our Republicans and the Tea Party bunch work along the same lines, but with lies, slander, innuendoes and lots of money from the big corporations and lobbyists, because they want to run our country to suit them. They claim that the majority of the citizens of this country want what they want. They are evacuating their bowels through their mouth and spewing crap all over the country and we have a lot of people with nothing better to do than listen. All who believe them I hope you enjoy the stink that comes with what happens---the same thing that we have been trying to clean up for the last one and one-half year!
Our various religious organizations are getting in on the political stuff and those guys are on the tax-free deal, plus they have lobbyist in Washington, DC. When they do this they are no longer exempt from paying taxes. When do we jerk it out from under them? They, like the big corporations get rich not paying taxes! I don’t see them saving too many souls or really helping the poor, but they are building bigger and better churches!

Insurgency: The state or condition of being insurgent. Rebellion against an existing government by a group not recognized as belligerent. Rebellion within a group, as by members against leaders. (I can name them)
Insurgent: A person who takes part in forcible opposition or armed resistance to an established government or authority; rebel. A member of a group, especially a political party, who revolts against the policies of the leadership.
Where shall we start, as I keep hearing; insurgents and insurgency in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. From the definition of these words from Webster’s Dictionary, we have a bunch of insurgents and an insurgency in the good old United States of America. Political party-- against another political party-- racial prejudice against another race. Many claim that this country was built on Christian principles. But many are a bunch of damn hypocrites.
Christian: Pertaining to, or derived from Jesus Christ or his teachings. Pertaining to, or adhering to the religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Exhibiting a spirit proper to a follower of Jesus Christ, as in having a loving regard for others. Humane; decent; generous, a person who believes in Jesus Christ; an adherent of Christianity. A person who exemplifies in his or her life the teachings of Christ.
From the countries that we think we are going to change to a democracy, for our benefit, they call us ‘Infidel’s’, a person who does not accept a particular religion, especially Christianity. Frankly this applies to many of the people in our ‘Christian’ nation that keep espousing their belief and support of Christianity, but do not practice what they preach. They practice more hate than anything else.
I have been around a long time and there are only 3 in the senate a little older than I, and 2 in the house. I have followed politics all my life and I know which ones aren’t worth a tinker’s damn, on both sides. I know the ones that are greedy and corrupt and do not work for we the people. They are bought and paid for by large corporations and work against we the people and the government. We have many that want peace and the others are warmongers. Our country is no different than other countries, why do we keep pretending that we are.
People in other countries know our faults, just as we know theirs. We have good and bad people in all countries none is any better than the other. Different languages, different religions, same damned downfall politics, and greed, each fighting to be superior to the other, the poor and downtrodden fighting to just survive from day to day. That’s what the poor in the United States are doing, living from day to day.
We do have freedom of speech, but some have resorted to weapons, as they found that speaking out did not help.
What is our next line of resistance against the people that have been elected to represent us and will not? And I am not talking about our President. He would do what we need to have done, but he has to have help, but the Insurgents ‘ain’t gonna’ do it.
Another Civil Rights March for equality, but not peaceful this time? The peaceful one on the part of the
marchers didn’t last long enough. Is it going to be an insurrection or revolutions? Something has got to change for the good of all humanity, not just a favored few.

Mental Reservation and The Laws of Man
A 700, year old doctrine; where clerics can avoid telling the truth, to protect the Catholic Church.
Not sanctioned under canon law, experts say, and infrequently invoked. (It has been misused to justify lying). The church has used it for years to protect priests that went outside their vows of chastity (forced on them by the church, so they wouldn’t marry and have a family to support, thereby taking more money from the church) as they were unable to marry. God didn’t make that law, man did. The church took from these men, what God gave them, the right to marry and have a family, thereby ruining their lives. They became servants to the church. Many became, frustrated as they had no outlet for personal emotions. In many it went to very mental extremes and they wound up ruining the lives of other people.
The church made laws for the nuns under the same circumstances. They also became servants to the church with no life of their own. They became housekeepers, cooks, gardeners and many other menial tasks. Many were taught to teach school, become nurses. Then they were used to make money for the church. Opened Catholic schools, where tuition was paid by families, built Catholic hospitals, where nuns manned the nursing staff and medical services were paid for all over the world, money from these things went to the church. The nuns got a roof over their heads, a place to sleep and food to eat, clothes to cover their backs, not much else. Rather like slaves, but volunteered. When they get to old or become ill, they are sent, like many of ordinary people to the ‘old folks’ home. Many had no family left. A Church who is supposed to teach the word of God, should not be able to take the life of a human being and use it for their own use in lieu of allowing them to live the life for the purpose he gave them, to marry and multiple and do good works. It has been a form of brainwashing to the priests and nuns. I read an article recently about the old and disabled nuns asking for help, as they had no assets. Many of their previous students were taking up collections for them. The Catholic Church, when they become too old to work does not seem to care about them. That is another thing they hide from the world.
The many institutions held by the church to supposedly protect and take care of orphans, but abused them to such a terrible extent, and hid all of this from sight, so as to protect the church. They ruined so many young lives and lied and hid it from the world, why? To protect a church that was not worth protecting. This was not the only religious organization that did the same thing. Our State run institutions did the same thing and hid it from the world. I wonder if the children would have been better off to let them run wild with the wild animals, they might have been better protected, than pinned up with no way to escape from their torturers. Running wild they could have climbed a tree or picked up a big stick or a rock to protect themselves. Many laws within themselves are evil things. As long as the names of the men in charge aren’t smeared they do not care.

Used as a help measure for law students, lawyers, etc., much like our Webster’s Dictionary used at schools, colleges and in our homes has its legal description of Mental Reservation as: One party’s silent understanding or exception to the meaning of a contractual provision. Does that mean silent understanding or exception is the same a lying? I, actually think it is the same as where they can avoid telling the truth to protect something or to protect the posterior part of their anatomy.
Canon Law: A body of western ecclesiastical law that was first compiled from the 12th to the 14th centuries. It has grown steadily since that time, and is now codified in the Codex Juris Canonici of 1983,replacing that of 1918---Also termed corpus juris canonici; papal law, jus canonicum. A body of law developed within a particular religious tradition—Also termed church law; canonical law. Ecclesiastical Law.
Canon: A rule or principle, once accepted as fundamental. Canon of construction: A rule used in construing legal instruments, contracts and statutes. There are many rules under this. Canon of descent; honorary canon; (serve without pay or benefit), A fixed regular payment or tribute made as a contribution payable to the church (that’s how they afford all the riches). Canonical impediment, (annulment and all the rules to be removed from the church). Canonical purgation: purgation by oath-helpers in an ecclesiastical court; vulgar purgation, purgation by fire, hot irons, battle or cold water; purgation by means other than oath-helpers. Vulgar purgation was so called because it was not; sanctioned by the church after 1215 (not exactly true, the insurrection came after that). Must have been a really good idea, as various governments and military leaders started using some of the same tactics. Our United States radical regime of fascist warmongers during the last Republican Party in power used it a lot.
And still think it is a good idea. They used the old Mental Reservation law a lot. Actually they lied like hell, but whom were they trying to protect? They knew they what they were doing was wrong, even went so far as to construe legal instruments to make sure what they were doing was alright under our screwed up justice system.
Right is right and wrong is wrong, no matter what legal twist you put on it. When my husband was going to law school he would want me argue the other side of a case, and I would. He would always say, ‘no your wrong’, I always said, ‘but morally I am right”. He proceeded to tell me there is no moral in law. I have found this to be true, but still believe there should be. There has to be for things to turn out right for our world.
Our people of this world have to start telling the truth and stop telling lies to protect, churches, governments and our leaders and corporations. This type of thing has gone on forever, lying and covering up any, wrong doing. Our children have all begun saying, ‘everybody does it’, like it was okay for them. It is not for our children and it damn sure is not for all of us that know better, but it seems to be easier to lie and steal. Then cover it up.
The leaders and people keep talking about how great we are, but we are no different than people in other nations that we seem to hate so much. Have any of you ever asked yourself and really checked why they dislike our country so much? I have and our history with them did not foster good relations. I have known people in many of those countries. We have never been great saviors, just greedy robber barons and pretend we are doing it for their own good. Mental Reservation again; it is used every day in this country.
So many of the things we do in our country and other places in the world is wrong, because we do it for the wrong reasons. We do not go to help if, it is needed, we, go to control and conquer. Then the avarice ridden and warmongers, see the money they can make, by sending our military to eliminate the leaders, blow the country apart, kill their citizens and our own soldiers, then the country isn’t of any use, until they rebuild it and to do this, our leaders have their friends (wealthy contractors with contacts) turn in big contracts to our governments to do the job and we pay through the nose and they get very rich on the taxpayers money. To add insult to injury our leaders have friends who are a bunch of ex-military mercenaries (Blackwatch) they wanted to protect our citizens in Iraq, so they apply for a big money contract to our government and got the job, at taxpayer’s expense. They paid them a hell of a lot more, than they paid our military to do the job. Seems Blackwatch did a lot of other goodies for them (outside of any law). Brutal bunch of sorry men! The, type that would kill at the drop of a hat or a jaundice eye, and for money they would break any law and kill with great abandonment. We even let them live in the United States and call them citizens. And we have the gall to call other people terrorist. Mental Reservation again!

Humpty Dumpty Politics
Our world reminds me of our childhood story: Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall – all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
With all the pieces lying in front of us – for all to see, the people we elected to congress to represent we the people have decided they do not want to put our country back together again, unless they can do it their way! They were elected to work for we the people, and do it our way, for we the people. This has never happened. ‘The power to question is the basis of all human progress’. We the people have failed in our duty to question often and enough. Many of us write, call, fax, e-mail use the internet and some question in person! Do any of you ever get a straight and honest answer? NO! Not an answer at all. I believe our elected representatives think it is none of our damn business. What do you think? Actually I have gotten answers, but not to the questions I asked.
It really is time for a change. The Declaration of Independence was the promise; the Constitution was the fulfillment – Well not exactly. Remember some of the parts, ‘when in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which connected them to another – and that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights – life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I believe the same thing should apply to the here and now, as more than one-half of the 535 people in Congress and the Judicial System are not working for the majority of American citizens – only their self, wealthy friends and corporations. I do not like a semi-fascist type government, ruled by large corporations and the financial system and a group of extreme right-wing politicians, emphasizing an aggressive nationalism, militarism and often very bigoted racist views. I wonder how many American citizens have the intestinal fortitude to step up to the fence to fight for real freedom among our selves. My ancestors have fought and died in every war this country has been involved in, so I have my rights, but not a lot of time left. Some of my ancestors were here when the first immigrants came and many of my ancestors were immigrants. I have no problem with Immigrants; in fact it is a petty issue. Our Creator, created this whole world for all of us, we do not own it - it is for our use in our lifetime. But man and his man made laws had to stick a flag on it and claim it as MINE, like a spoiled child, and we have been trying it all over the world. Great Christians!

Senator Jeff Sessions:
Eighty-three years ago I was born in the third-world state of Alabama. I am white and have followed your lousy radical politics all my life. I am a white woman and my relatives settled in Tuscaloosa and Pickens County, Alabama in the late 17 and 1800. Many were as bigoted and racially prejudice as you are. My husband was an attorney and a good honest one. I know the law and the constitution. In the beginning it was wrong, there have been changes, but it is still not right.
Where do people get off that the Founding Father’s and Constitution was so great? Yes parts of it was good, but others parts were as dumb as many of the changes that have been made. I listen to the religious nuts saying this country was built on Christian principles. It wasn’t; it left out a part of the people in this country. The American Indians that were here first the African people that were brought to do everyone’s work and sold like cattle at an auction. They were not considered citizens. Then there was the better half of this nation, the women that had no rights. Without women this old world would have ended long ago. It took a long time for women to realize that they had rights and were stronger that men emotionally and mentally. Why should those men be considered so great? They all agreed and signed the constitution and I do not consider any of them Christians. So rule out the country built on Christian principles.
As time went on the people in power started changing and adding to the constitution and not all of that has been good. I look in awe at some of the things added by legislators in Congress and state governments: At one time it wasn’t allowed for African’s to marry and it wasn’t allowed for a white person to marry an African person. In the original constitution it did not mention; a woman’s right to have a child or not have a child. A person’s right to marry whomever they wish, no matter the gender. The people in power started bringing their religion into politics, where it had no place. And to this day many do not realize that their religion is between them and God, he is their Judge when it comes to their faith and how they live their lives. No one else; God has the rule of law on this matter.
I heard the remarks you made while Elena Kagan was being grilled by you bunch of unethical radical republicans. The only word in your vocabulary is NO, and you will not agree with anyone that thinks differently than you do. To bad because you are never right, when it comes to dealing with the majority of people. Your only interest is the money and power group.
One thing I will tell you: You will never see the day that you will measure up to Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. The judicial and legal system should not under any circumstances be political. It has become political and I know longer have any respect for a portion of the justices now serving. Having been a judge in this day and age is nothing more than a political hack like the majority of you in congress. All of you take bribes from lobbyist. In fact you took $568,823.00 ($85,500.00 to vote for and $475,323.00 to vote against) on the health care bill, and you voted NO of course. Now tell me how ethical you are! Republican senators, took $94,338,189.00, Democrats took $24,277,439.00. There are a lot of unethical Democrats also.
None of you are fit to legislate and make rules and regulations for the citizens of this country and should not be allowed to walk in the halls of congress, and I hope someday they push your worthless rear ends out the door. Maybe people will wise up one of these days. I love the fact that you all claim to be Christians. All republicans hate the fact that our President is part African and American, that’s why you fight so hard to not pass anything, while he is President. What are you guys going to do when you meet your Maker for his judgment of your deeds on this earth, and find out he is a different color than you?

Whom should they blame the people he let more or less run the government, Cheney and his crew of warmongers? Iraq, wasn’t about WMD’s, it was about oil. Don’t tell me that the President didn’t know. Cheney got together with all the oil executives and divided up the oil fields in 2001, before 9/11. I hate the part of government that tries to keep everything secret from we the people that elected them. Many of us are dumb, many do not pay attention, many of us do not care, many of us are paying more attention to sports and many do not remember the things from the past. A lot of us old people have a problem as we get older, we lose our short term memory, but retain our, long- term memory; I have.
I remember the hell, raised about Whitewater-gate matter with Bill Clinton, $50 million or so. But the alleged banking misdeeds by the Bush family—Brother Neil (Silverado Savings), $1 billion; Brother Jeb (Broward Savings), $221.8 million; and Father George (BNL-Iraqgate), $5 billion. While everyone focused on Clinton’s misdeeds, they apparently had forgiven and forgotten the Bushes banking practices. There was, a lot of unethical practices going on. No jail time! Family and friends paid fines and legal fees. The other little side note! The public closure of Silverado was delayed until after the 1988 election. Regulators wanted to close the doors; a call from Washington delayed the closing for 45 days which, meant the public would not learn about its newly acquired $1.3 billion debt until after George H.W. Bush won.
This is one reason the Republicans and the Bush gang, have always wanted to get rid of regulations on Corporations of all kinds. This is only a smidgen of the unethical workings of the Bush family. POLITICS – RELIGION – AVARICE
The ruination of our world: In the beginning all things were supposed to be good. God had no religion. The world was of his making for the good of all his creation. Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountains and the sea, then the fish, fowls, animals, then God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female he created he them.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and the fowl of the air, and every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Well, all that have read the first and second chapter of Genesis knows what happened thereafter.
I haven’t been able to figure out why God created that Serpent and gave him such power to convince Eve to eat that apple, how sad, because since that time everything bad that has happened on this earth seems to be blamed on the women. I learned long ago that women really aren’t the weaker, sex. It was just an excuse to put the blame on someone else. It is always someone else’s fault, whatever goes wrong. Trying to figure out where all our problems in our world started is sort of like trying to figure out which came first the egg or the chicken. Instead of man having the soul that God intended, it seems a little of whatever he put into the serpent, also went into man.
In the beginning all man had was the Word of God. Religion is a man made thing, so it didn’t come until later. Politics has always been with us all through the Bible you, will note one group of people against another jockeying for more power over another, for more land for various agriculture, and to raise their animals, for food of course, but to have more and be richer than the other group of people. Avarice the old soul destroying part of man became the worst part of many men and persists to this day. The mixture of politics and avarice has been our downfall, in all nations throughout the earth that God created. It seems to be easier to follow all the bad traits than it is to follow the good things. Maybe it is the adage ‘the Devil made me do it’. Most all human beings do things that they know are not right. But when it comes to the place where when you do, you hurt and do harm to so many people, it’s time to stop and take a look at yourself and decide what you want the end game to be, life or death. That’s when man brought his brand of religion into the game, as sort of a way to try and whitewash his soul, so he mixed it with the politics and avarice. Man plays one against the other. It has caused wars from the beginning of time and continued on until this day, and will never end until our earth is soaked with human blood, and God figures its time to close up shop as there isn’t anything left worth saving of all he created for us and many did not appreciate.
Man figures the more he can manipulate politics and religion with his power, money and greed through any corrupt venue he can, he can control the majority of the people. That is the sad situation of our world. The life of a human being is of no importance to this type of people. You will note down through history any ruler who came to prominence, who seemed to have a good heart and wanted to work for the people was not able to do so. The group with the dark souls banded together and abolished all he stood for, by ridicule, slander, propaganda, and out right falsehoods.
When man uses power and money as a weapon to destroy, rather than a tool for the good of mankind, he is an evil being of the worst sort and will find no redemption in God’s eyes. Men in this category cause death and destruction wherever they go, and they do not care whom; they destroy, not people or our earth, their only God is AVARICE. Their Religion that they try to spread has nothing to do with God or Jesus Christ. It is a pretense not Christianity. One thing I can tell them about all the asset’s they accumulate while they are here with the living, they can’t take it with them and it will bring no favor in God’s eyes unless they have done good with it for their fellow man.
There is nothing they can hide from God with their double bookkeeping system or delete from their computer that he doesn’t know about. You can fool some of us mortals here on earth, but that is all you can fool.

When man uses power and money as a weapon to destroy, rather than a tool for the good of mankind, he is an evil being of the worst sort and will find no redemption in God’s eyes. Men in this category cause death and destruction wherever they go, and they do not care whom; they destroy, not people or our earth, their only God is AVARICE. Their Religion that they try to spread has nothing to do with God or Jesus Christ. It is a pretense not Christianity. One thing I can tell them about all the asset’s they accumulate while they are here with the living, they can’t take it with them and it will bring no favor in God’s eyes unless they have done good with it for their fellow man.
There is nothing they can hide from God with their double bookkeeping system or delete from their computer that he doesn’t know about. You can fool some of us mortals here on earth, but that is all you can fool.

Seeing Evil
I saved an article written by a Mr. Frederick N. Norton of Fort Worth back in the late 1990’s. Called Seeing Evil, I am going to quote as follows:
I am a lifelong fiscal conservative. I have voted for many Republicans in my 45 years of voting. I will not vote for another Republican as long as the religious right controls that part. Thirty years ago, Middle America looked left and saw evil. Now we look right and see only evil. I did not serve in two wars against the commies only to see my country turned over to the forces of evil. In Northern Ireland, the Middle East and here today’s Evil Empire the religious right.
The right hates and fears Middle America because we are the majority. All we have to do is vote, and they are out of power. Bu not voting, we are permitting 30 percent of our people to run our country. All we need to do is vote. We can send them back to their power base in hate radio and newspaper columns. We reject their ‘family values’ of greed, hate and bigotry. We wonder why our hometown newspaper provides a platform for the hate mongers. But when they are out of power, they will be mostly out of sight.
Middle Americans, vote a straight Democratic ticket this year and again in 2000. Let’s put the Evil Empire out of business.

Avarice, greed and politics have taken over. Our religion, which is a personal private matter between each human being and God, has become a talking point in all, political discussions. Our, Justice system, military, schools and religious organizations have all become political footballs, with lobbying groups in our federal government. Can we do better in November 2010 or are we going to follow the same path? It looks like we should have learned. It seems like many have just given up, but people should learn, you never give up on the truth and what is right, and your right is to vote for what is right for the majority of the people, not a favored few.

DON’T ASK DON’T TELL
As I listened Rep. Ike Skelton about his stance on ‘DON’T ASK DON’T TELL’ in regard to moving this stupid asinine law from our men and women in the military. I could not believe that he has lived to be 78 years old and had not learned anymore about the character of a human being than he has. That one’s sexual orientation makes them any different than any other person, other than that one thing. It isn’t anyone business, just as his sex life is no one’s business. Maybe he has never, know any on a personal basis. I have and they have been better at their jobs, as doctors, lawyers, musicians, teachers, mothers and fathers of choice. They have been better Christians than most people. I note from his bio that his religious affiliation is the Disciples of Christ. I also see what he learned from it. I quote from Jonathan Swift, “We have just enough religion to make us hate, but not enough to make us love one another.”

If God gave us science and science is a means to learn God’s creation and through science we learn that our sexual orientation is congenital – not a choice but a gift – how can we continue to begrudge committed same-sex relationships? PERRY’S FORTE
SELF-AGGRANDIZEMENT: PURE AND SIMPLE. He is such an egotistical buffoon. Wants the Federal Government to leave Texas alone. I think that would be a good idea, dump all Republicans politicians, corporations and everyone that their income is over $150,000.00 a year, that think he is so great and does the best for the citizens of the State of Texas. Our Federal Government of the United States is still responsible for the hard working poor and middle class of this state, because Perry does not give a damn about them.
He has never been responsible for all the mishandled Institutions for the Developmentally Disabled children and adults or the Nursing Homes for the Medically Disabled senior citizens of Texas or the young people incarcerated that have been abused, molested and ill treated by various agencies under his control that he doesn’t keep up with. Even when these things have been reported, no one is really being held accountable. The Governor of this state should be held accountable.
He is out campaigning 12 months of the year, instead of seeing that the citizens of this state that needs help are taken care of. Plus he is taking tours of other countries like Iraq, etc. I thought his job was the State of Texas.
Did he pay for it out of his pocket of funds, did the State of Texas or the federal government pay for it???
His time is spent with people that buy his attention. His moral compass has been skewed by money. Money is a tool to be used for good, not for just a favored few, but for all the citizens of this state. The federal government furnishes part of the money for this state to help take care of people who cannot take care of their selves. It is designated for that purpose. He thinks it is for him to use as he sees fit. Any that is used for those that are unable to take care of their selves he does in his own good time. While people many are doing with out food and decent humanitarian care.
I note that he is out trying to get all the Hispanic votes as it gets close to election time, when before he didn’t give a tinker’s damn about them. Yes this was once the land of the Hispanic people, but the only time he cares is to garner votes to stay in office. Where are all the many intelligent people with common sense, surely they can see through this glorious charade he and the republican politicians are putting on. Do our people not think for their selves anymore, or do they listen to politicians with a pocket full of money, furnished by many wealthy power brokers and large corporations, who are working this jerk to get everything their way?
People don’t you realize he is using all his campaign funds from this group to sway you to vote him back into office, so he can continue doing the same damn thing? After he gets back in office, he will drop you like a hot rock. You will be able to give him your vote if you fall for his scam but you will get nothing in return, just like before. The only ones he pays attention to and caters too are, THE MONEY CROWD, the big heavies. Haven’t any of you noticed this?
All you people that have been unemployed and had to draw unemployment checks, didn’t you notice that he as the GOVERNOR, didn’t want to give it to you? Didn’t want the federal government to send money. If he had any forethought that at sometime in his radical regime, many of the citizens of this state might become unemployed due to the previous republican group running our federal government, that definitely didn’t care about the little people of this country and broke it.
If he was so damn smart and great as a Governor he would have known what was going on. Remember he and Bush were friends, in fact bosom buddies. All the years he was in office before the bottom fell out, he could have raised the unemployment tax, which hadn’t been raised in 20 years and was one of the lowest in the country. But he couldn’t upset his power base of large corporations by telling them it needed to be raised; they wouldn’t like it!
But he still had the ball assed audacity to take and use the UNEMPLOYMENT FUND to bankroll his Texas Enterprise Fund, which grants taxpayer money to big businesses to induce job creation. I remember one he did; good old Countrywide Mortgage; sort of a rotten bunch –remember the sub-prime interest rates? They were really good at that. Critics have called it Perry’s
‘slush fund/corporate welfare’. All the $460 million into the fund since 2005, when Perry snuck a little noticed bill through the Legislature authorizing the transfers, the he did a $50 million through the Texas Enterprise Fund to build a biotech center at his Alma Mater A&M. I thought the unemployment tax that went into the unemployment fund, was designated for that purpose, not tax money that he could use for his own PIGGY BANK. Surely to goodness, people who care and people who have been and might be unemployed down the road wouldn’t vote for a lowdown man who would fraud the people of Texas for his on gain and glory. And he claims to be a good Christian! All I have to say to that is BULL-MANURE.

OUR ABUSE OF THE WORLD AND ITS PEOPLE:

America a part of the world, that God made. Some of my ancestors lived here, when the illegal immigrants came from Europe, looking for a place to live in peace. They brought all their bad habits with them. They decided that the Indians shouldn’t be here! They started taking all their land and rights away from them. They started setting up laws of the land. Indians weren’t considered citizens according to their rules. So it wasn’t really peace they were after, it was power to rule. It has been nothing but a constant fight for more land and more power since that time.
The Spanish came with Priests to set up missions to make Catholics out of the Indians and Mexicans in the southeast, southwest and California. In 1722 they took control over Texas, but again it was decided they didn’t belong here either and the power brokers needed more land and proceeded to run them out across the river into Mexico. Now we have illegal immigrants coming back across the river. Everyone all over the country is raising hell. Why? Their ancestors were here before we came. We took what was their territory. Maybe they want it back. It would serve us right if they decided they wanted to reassert their control over Texas again.

All we have ever done is consider ourselves better than the Indians, Mexicans and the African people that we brought here as slaves. We used and abused all of these people that God gave the same rights as he did all people. To live and prosper in the world that he gave to all.
In our schools they have never taught the real history of the world and definitely never taught the true history of America. Not the good and the bad. People have been taught to hate all things that they do not know the truth about. When will we ever learn that we do not own this earth, it has been loaned to us for our use in our life- time. THE OIL FIASCO:
Hey hoss – hold it! My President Obama didn’t screw up. It was already screwed up when he got there. All the laws, rules and regulations were removed, so the oil and energy corporations could do as they wished, plus given a big tax break to help them. I believe the ENERGY CZAR in charge was named CHENEY.
Obama didn’t cause the oil fiasco, but he said the buck stops with him. He can and will hold the culprits accountable. With the help of the good people in this country he can correct the laws, rules and regulations that were broken, strictly for avarice, on the part of all involved, including the executive branch of our government. It is time for every state to become responsible for the citizens of their state in lieu of taking bribes from the big oil and energy corporations and doing their bidding.
The President we have now is a man of quiet determination and dignity. He is not a spoiled angry tantrum throwing person, as he knows that it will not accomplish anything.
There will be many people whom have been taking bribes all the years that will fight him on correcting all the things that need to be done to put our country back on a solid footing. It will not be easy, but it will be the right thing to do.

My Dream of Health Care for All

My Dream of Health Care for All:
The reason my 83rd Birthday was so great. The Health Care Reform was signed into being, on March 25, 2010. Something I have wished for so many times as various President’s tried to get it into the works, but so many would not allow the bill to go forth. My reason is as follows:
We saw practically all my Mother’s family decimated by tuberculosis in the 1930’s. We had a great Doctor and friend and he came whenever he was sent for, but there was no medicine to help. Eating all the right foods was no problem; they had a nice farm, garden, fruit trees of all kinds, berries by the gallons, grapes, pecans, chestnuts, sugar cane for syrup. They had cows, hogs, chickens and goats. There was always milk, butter, eggs and good food to eat, but about the only suggestion was go west to a higher dryer climate you might be able to find a Sanitarium. We found one in Bisbee, Arizona and Aunt Louise died there. One in San Angelo, Texas, the others we found in Alabama didn’t help either. Health Care came many moons to late to help all the people I loved so dear. Social Security and Medicare came to late for all except my Mother, as none of the others reached that golden age of 65.
Let’s hope this will never happen to another family in our day and age. But even now in the age of many medical miracles, and money for everything, even wars to kill more people, there are people who do not want other people to have Healthcare, if it might cost them. There is nothing more valuable on this earth than good health otherwise there is no joy in living if you are constantly suffering and know that death is just around the next curve.
When I was 7, a man working for my Grandfather became ill, he lived on the farm and helped my Grandmother do the garden, milk, fed the stock, helped her in the kitchen. My family, helped take care of him, he died in 1935. Dr. Hall said it was tuberculosis. In 1935 Uncle Deal died age 27, from pneumonia. Aunt Flora Mae died in 1936 age 23, from tuberculosis. Aunt Nellie died in 1938 age 16, she had tuberculosis, but a ruptured appendix caused her death. Aunt Lee died in 1938 age 26, from tuberculosis. My 6 foot 4 tall wonderful Grandfather, who protected me when I got in trouble with my Father died in 1939 age 57, from tuberculosis. Uncle Lawrence who was a handsome young man died in 1939 age 18. Aunt Louise died in 1939 age 25 from tuberculosis and left 2 small sons (who were raised by her in-laws to be grown and raised families of their own). Uncle Joe Fred died in 1940 age 29, from tuberculosis and left 2 young sons (my Grandmother raised them until they were grown and they raised families of their own). My Aunt Bernice died 1940 from tuberculosis at age 16 years and 16 days.
This left my little 5 foot 3 Grandmother at age 53, with my uncles 33 year old, Uncle Elton and 14 year old James Hall (who always insisted I call him Uncle, even though he was only a little over 6 months older than I, and her two small grandsons age 9 and 6.
This left my Grandmother with 4 living children, my Mother Era, age 32 with 6 children of her own, I was 13. My Aunt Lois, age 23 with 1 child. My little Grandmother had lost her own Mother when she was 7 years old. So a hard life was nothing new to her. Most all who had died had started being sick in 1934. But she actually lost 6 of her own children, her husband and 1 son-in-law and 1 daughter in-law in a 5, year period. Can anyone imagine having to feed, take care of so many sick people at one time? Laundry, to be done the old-fashioned way, washtub and rub-board, then hung on the line to dry. See that cows are milked and fed, milk churned for butter, other animals taken care of, gardens to be tended and other crops to be taken care of. Of course all family members that weren’t sick helped. A few old and dear friends helped also.
In those days people were so afraid of tuberculosis, as they knew there was no cure. So many people who always came for great food and friendship stayed away and you couldn’t blame them. The other man, Vanderbilt Brown who worked for my Grandfather and had a barbershop, on the farm, stayed and helped my Grandmother and the family through all of this tragedy and would not leave until my Grandmother insisted.
A friend of my Grandfather owned a Barber Shop in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and he gave him a job. I saw him in 1953 when I was 26 years old. I took my Mother to Alabama and we stopped at the Barber Shop to see him. This was in the days when white women did not go into an establishment to see a black man, must less go up and hug him. But I did. It was so good to see this wonderful man, whose first duty was to see that I didn’t get hurt running around the farm when I was little. I was the first grandchild. He doctored my many cuts with alcohol and peroxide. When he shaved my Grandfather, I loved the smell of what he put on his face afterward. Always had to have some put on me. He was a beautiful soul. I will always remember all the love, help and care he gave my family when things were, so dark and sad. He, gave me, my first haircut, a boyish bob with bangs, I was 4.
I often wonder how on God’s green earth my little Grandmother lived through so much heartache. But she stood as tall as the mighty pine trees in Alabama and as hard to kill as a kudzu vine. She saw her youngest son go into the Navy in 1944 and he stayed there and retired after 28 years and raised his family. Her oldest grandson, at age 17 went into the Navy before she died. After 7 years of taking care of her family with tuberculosis all those years, she never contacted the dreadful disease. She died 8 years later in 1948 with a heart attack at age 60, 3 months, 6 days, when her youngest grandson was 14.
My Mother put him in a private school in Alabama. My Uncle Elton died from tuberculosis in 1949 at age 42, which was inevitable, as he would not leave the old home. My Mother and Father had moved to Texas with all of us, and Aunt Lois and Uncle James moved to Texas also. When he got sick they came back and put him in a hospital in Birmingham, but he did not want to stay, so he came back home, but would not go to bed. He walked a lot and should not be walking, but I think he was looking to find the end of his road, and he did one June day.
On the day of his funeral, when everyone was at the cemetery, some nice ‘Christian’ person set fire to the old home and when they returned, it had burned to the ground. All papers, pictures, the old organ that I loved to make noise on, the old trunks that quilts and other things were stored in. The big framed, pictures of both my Great-Grandfathers with their beards. Even the luggage they had brought with them to the funeral. Nothing was saved.
I found out who did it, but he had already died, when I did. This man used to hunt and fish with my Grandfather and my Father, he an all his family were guests in our homes, they always came to the big holiday cookouts that my Grandfather had and enjoyed the wonderful homebrew he made and bottled for these special occasions. We had gone to school with his children and my Grandfather had sold him his store and service station across from the post office and our school when he got sick. I would have liked to have, whipped his sorry hide with a buggy whip. No one, had to go into the house, nor live in it, no one lived near by. No one else died of tuberculosis that lived in that house until 9 years later when Elton died in 1949. None of the friends that came to visit or any other family members contacted tuberculosis.
It was a tragedy that I will never forget. I am the only one left that was old enough to remember. I remember my elderly relatives talking about the influenza epidemic in the early 1900’s, with whole families dying. I remember in our cemeteries, the markers for small children, all brothers and sisters, 3 and 4 in a row all having died within a few days of each other. No real medical help available. We now have help for people that are sick, but I still remember the days when we didn’t. None of the wonderful, medicines that we have now, were available. But over time greed made many of these unavailable to many of our citizens of this country. What happened to our love of humanity?

I thank our beautiful Black President Barack Obama for wanting the same thing that I have wanted for so many years and helped get it through and he signed it, even through it wasn’t all that he wanted, but it is a start. Thank God for such a man to come in my lifetime.
My Dream of Health Care for All:
The reason my 83rd Birthday was so great. The Health Care Reform was signed into being, on March 25, 2010. Something I have wished for so many times as various President’s tried to get it into the works, but so many would not allow the bill to go forth. My reason is as follows:
We saw practically all my Mother’s family decimated by tuberculosis in the 1930’s. We had a great Doctor and friend and he came whenever he was sent for, but there was no medicine to help. Eating all the right foods was no problem; they had a nice farm, garden, fruit trees of all kinds, berries by the gallons, grapes, pecans, chestnuts, sugar cane for syrup. They had cows, hogs, chickens and goats. There was always milk, butter, eggs and good food to eat, but about the only suggestion was go west to a higher dryer climate you might be able to find a Sanitarium. We found one in Bisbee, Arizona and Aunt Louise died there. One in San Angelo, Texas, the others we found in Alabama didn’t help either. Health Care came many moons to late to help all the people I loved so dear. Social Security and Medicare came to late for all except my Mother, as none of the others reached that golden age of 65.
Let’s hope this will never happen to another family in our day and age. But even now in the age of many medical miracles, and money for everything, even wars to kill more people, there are people who do not want other people to have Healthcare, if it might cost them. There is nothing more valuable on this earth than good health otherwise there is no joy in living if you are constantly suffering and know that death is just around the next curve.
When I was 7, a man working for my Grandfather became ill, he lived on the farm and helped my Grandmother do the garden, milk, fed the stock, helped her in the kitchen. My family, helped take care of him, he died in 1935. Dr. Hall said it was tuberculosis. In 1935 Uncle Deal died age 27, from pneumonia. Aunt Flora Mae died in 1936 age 23, from tuberculosis. Aunt Nellie died in 1938 age 16, she had tuberculosis, but a ruptured appendix caused her death. Aunt Lee died in 1938 age 26, from tuberculosis. My 6 foot 4 tall wonderful Grandfather, who protected me when I got in trouble with my Father died in 1939 age 57, from tuberculosis. Uncle Lawrence who was a handsome young man died in 1939 age 18. Aunt Louise died in 1939 age 25 from tuberculosis and left 2 small sons (who were raised by her in-laws to be grown and raised families of their own). Uncle Joe Fred died in 1940 age 29, from tuberculosis and left 2 young sons (my Grandmother raised them until they were grown and they raised families of their own). My Aunt Bernice died 1940 from tuberculosis at age 16 years and 16 days.
This left my little 5 foot 3 Grandmother at age 53, with my uncles 33 year old, Uncle Elton and 14 year old James Hall (who always insisted I call him Uncle, even though he was only a little over 6 months older than I, and her two small grandsons age 9 and 6.
This left my Grandmother with 4 living children, my Mother Era, age 32 with 6 children of her own, I was 13. My Aunt Lois, age 23 with 1 child. My little Grandmother had lost her own Mother when she was 7 years old. So a hard life was nothing new to her. Most all who had died had started being sick in 1934. But she actually lost 6 of her own children, her husband and 1 son-in-law and 1 daughter in-law in a 5, year period. Can anyone imagine having to feed, take care of so many sick people at one time? Laundry, to be done the old-fashioned way, washtub and rub-board, then hung on the line to dry. See that cows are milked and fed, milk churned for butter, other animals taken care of, gardens to be tended and other crops to be taken care of. Of course all family members that weren’t sick helped. A few old and dear friends helped also.
In those days people were so afraid of tuberculosis, as they knew there was no cure. So many people who always came for great food and friendship stayed away and you couldn’t blame them. The other man, Vanderbilt Brown who worked for my Grandfather and had a barbershop, on the farm, stayed and helped my Grandmother and the family through all of this tragedy and would not leave until my Grandmother insisted.
A friend of my Grandfather owned a Barber Shop in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and he gave him a job. I saw him in 1953 when I was 26 years old. I took my Mother to Alabama and we stopped at the Barber Shop to see him. This was in the days when white women did not go into an establishment to see a black man, must less go up and hug him. But I did. It was so good to see this wonderful man, whose first duty was to see that I didn’t get hurt running around the farm when I was little. I was the first grandchild. He doctored my many cuts with alcohol and peroxide. When he shaved my Grandfather, I loved the smell of what he put on his face afterward. Always had to have some put on me. He was a beautiful soul. I will always remember all the love, help and care he gave my family when things were, so dark and sad. He, gave me, my first haircut, a boyish bob with bangs, I was 4.
I often wonder how on God’s green earth my little Grandmother lived through so much heartache. But she stood as tall as the mighty pine trees in Alabama and as hard to kill as a kudzu vine. She saw her youngest son go into the Navy in 1944 and he stayed there and retired after 28 years and raised his family. Her oldest grandson, at age 17 went into the Navy before she died. After 7 years of taking care of her family with tuberculosis all those years, she never contacted the dreadful disease. She died 8 years later in 1948 with a heart attack at age 60, 3 months, 6 days, when her youngest grandson was 14.
My Mother put him in a private school in Alabama. My Uncle Elton died from tuberculosis in 1949 at age 42, which was inevitable, as he would not leave the old home. My Mother and Father had moved to Texas with all of us, and Aunt Lois and Uncle James moved to Texas also. When he got sick they came back and put him in a hospital in Birmingham, but he did not want to stay, so he came back home, but would not go to bed. He walked a lot and should not be walking, but I think he was looking to find the end of his road, and he did one June day.
On the day of his funeral, when everyone was at the cemetery, some nice ‘Christian’ person set fire to the old home and when they returned, it had burned to the ground. All papers, pictures, the old organ that I loved to make noise on, the old trunks that quilts and other things were stored in. The big framed, pictures of both my Great-Grandfathers with their beards. Even the luggage they had brought with them to the funeral. Nothing was saved.
I found out who did it, but he had already died, when I did. This man used to hunt and fish with my Grandfather and my Father, he an all his family were guests in our homes, they always came to the big holiday cookouts that my Grandfather had and enjoyed the wonderful homebrew he made and bottled for these special occasions. We had gone to school with his children and my Grandfather had sold him his store and service station across from the post office and our school when he got sick. I would have liked to have, whipped his sorry hide with a buggy whip. No one, had to go into the house, nor live in it, no one lived near by. No one else died of tuberculosis that lived in that house until 9 years later when Elton died in 1949. None of the friends that came to visit or any other family members contacted tuberculosis.
It was a tragedy that I will never forget. I am the only one left that was old enough to remember. I remember my elderly relatives talking about the influenza epidemic in the early 1900’s, with whole families dying. I remember in our cemeteries, the markers for small children, all brothers and sisters, 3 and 4 in a row all having died within a few days of each other. No real medical help available. We now have help for people that are sick, but I still remember the days when we didn’t. None of the wonderful, medicines that we have now, were available. But over time greed made many of these unavailable to many of our citizens of this country. What happened to our love of humanity?

Who’s Country?
Who’s Country? I Have Mine.
As I sit and watch and read everything about the Tea Party movement flowing through our country, I can’t believe the absolute ignorance of these people. They want their country back? Where are they from? They are not peace loving Americans. They keep mouthing, about freedom, I have my freedom. What happened to theirs? Why did they lose theirs? Was it under the 8 years of the republican regime? We now have a President that cherishes his freedom more than any of them do, and he has that right, as he have lived under the hate they are spewing all over this country all his life. Do they not understand that?
The problems in our world; are caused by fanatical religious groups and fanatical politics. Always has been. In other nations before people immigrated to this country and it has continued on, unabated by people to blind to care what they were doing, only what they wanted at the expense of many. And they haven’t changed. That is why we have the haves and have not.
The Tea Party nuts and radical republicans and other illiterate people want to be the haves. Many do not really comprehend what is going on. They are not fit to have control of this country. Not my country. The country that I lost ancestors in all the wars fought in and for my country. They can’t have it back! Their goal is to make sure President Obama is a one, term president. Don’t they realize that as a beautiful mix of both races, he sees everyone, not just a favored, few. I will tell them one thing, through him is the best chance of freedom anyone will ever have. If they had any common sense they would help him do the job he came to do. He didn’t make our debt in this country. He didn’t start the damn wars many of them and the last president with his warmongering friends, controlled by avarice did. If our country goes under, it will not be President Barack Obama’s fault it will be all the people fighting against him. As humble as any human being could possibly be, he stated “I cannot do it alone, I need all your help”. How many have stepped up to the plate? Only a few, when we had to bail out the people, that Bush wasn’t interested in when he bailed out all the big financial firms, that caused part of our downfall. They all jumped in with a big YEA to that. For anything else it has been like pulling teeth.
When I got my list of all contributions by legislator, and wasn’t to surprised to see the names of the Senators who took money. They actually took money from the groups that wanted the bill supported and from the groups that wanted the bill opposed. The opposing side paid the most money. All the republicans voted no, as you know. The party of NO actually took in $94, 388, 189. Let’s start in Alphabetically order, with the senators who took over a million dollars. Democrats took money also, from both sides, not all of them, but they didn’t get in on the big stuff. Some of those contributors are going to be mad as hell, or will they count it off as a charitable contribution? Because; the ones that contribute, and the ones that take, are both guilty of bribery. To do this to the American people makes them the lowest forms of human life. I’m sure the people of each state sent them to work for them, not against them. Every state has poor people that needed healthcare badly. Why do they not want the people of their state to have healthcare like they do?
I haven’t got the list on Representatives yet; it will probably be interesting too. None of them are there to work for the good of our country and we the people, only for themselves and the ones that bought and paid for them. I call them congressional prostitutes.

I read an article ‘Palin represents new type of un-elected public official’. Well not exactly, we have many of them; some were elected before then were not reelected. Dick Cheney still thinks he is VP, daughter Liz Cheney thinks (or does she) that she is the head spokes person and what she has to say counts, even though most of her blather is untrue, Dick Armey still thinks he is majority leader, Newt Gingrich still thinks he is ‘head honcho’, even Tom Delay keeps sticking his finger in politics. Gramm still thinks he is the world’s greatest mathematical whiz around, actually he just knows how the system works and can cook the books, I think they have become addicted to politics, power, money and the spotlight and cannot give it up.
In 2000 George W. Bush was not elected. He was assigned, the place of President of the United States by the Supreme Court. It has been the assumption of the citizens of this country that the Supreme Court should not be political nor should the military hierarchy. I heard someone in a discussion on C-Span, being asked what they thought of Sarah Palin as a politician. Their answer “George Bush in drag’ I thought it was a very apt description.
Remember the TV program ‘Dragnet’? I remember the part, “just the facts, just the facts”. As I watch, listen, read and investigate, I find that; nearly all of the people exaggerate and embellish what they are saying with outright untruths, actually they flat lie. It is a simple thing to tell the truth and the real ‘facts’ are on record. I sit in a different position than a lot of people, I listen to everything, read everything, pull up all the facts, the real facts. Some I actually remember, in fact as I get older I can remember way back when, better than last week. I now write it down as it happens, soon I will need more table space for tablets.
I watch politicians and people stand up and lie before God and everyone. They also write the same lies. Do they not understand that many of us know when they are lying and if we are not sure and are really interested, we will check and find the truth, for our self.
It is a terrible hurtful thing to have people whom are supposed to be helping and working for the citizens of this country, stand up distort the facts and flat out lie to us, hoping they are believed, and many are, as we have people that do not have the time or interest to find out the truth, and do not put forth the effort. They just believe some things that sound feasible or have become disenchanted with the whole political process.
As I talk to people about voting, I find many who have never voted, nor registered to vote. They do not know anything about the government, how it functions or why, they do not know what their civic duty is as a citizen. The young do not know because they have fouled up our schools, by not teaching history or civics in our schools. I know the history that has been taught in our schools was just a smidgen of the truth, written in order to make our country look good. If you do not know the real truth of our history, all of it, the good and the bad, you cannot make an informed decision.
Plus you need to know the history of the world, to know why we have evolved into the nation we have become. Since time began, we have had good, bad and indifferent citizens of this world. Some had different agenda’s. Those that wanted to live, do good things love one another and have a peaceful life. Others were born with a dark side in their souls, which were filled with avarice. Their ego and self-aggrandizement was their only interest. Their way was; the only way, believe as I believe. They had to rule the roost so to speak. All others were wrong.
Religions were the same way, believe as I believe or you’re a heretic and many were killed. This is from people who were supposed to be teaching the word of God. Which I find strange, as one of the Ten Commandments, stated; “thou shalt not kill”. This is still the law in the Good Book and taught today, but not obeyed. We go to war and kill many innocent people, why? Fanatical Religions and fanatical political leaders; Avarice of the leaders of all nations; frankly the worst have been, Spain, England, France, Russia, Germany and the United States. They have done this by wars and the insidious manipulations of pretending to be a friend and putting military bases in other countries to help protect them from someone else. Our country have been really great at sending military men from the G-2 section, whom all speak the language of a particular country, in civilian clothes, start a coup, and then send our military over to squelch the uprising, viola’, we are then hero’s. We have done this in Central America. This came from a friend whom was involved. He became very disenchanted with the military. Many did, it was no longer an honor to serve under those circumstances. But many gung ho military people loved it and the intrigue.

A Woman’s Choice
I was born a female into this world. My parents had control of me until the age of reasoning. They taught and told me what I could do and not do. From that time on I have always had complete control of my body. It was mine. I have been a wife and a Mother, but on my own terms, no one else’s. My children were God’s gift to me.
As I watch the stupidity going on in regard control of women’s rights about what they can or cannot do with their own body is unbelievable. No Church has the right to make laws about a woman’s body. They should not be lobbying in congress to make these laws and if they do interfere with the making of laws they should lose their tax-exempt status. Any politician and any member of the judicial branches of the government; be they man or woman that make these laws should be impeached.
A man has no right at all to make laws for a woman in regard to what she can and cannot do with her body. I cannot understand why any woman would put up with it. If she chooses to marry and have children, it should be her choice. If she chooses not to have children it should be her choice. The only thing involving the man is a few moments of pleasure and the rest is up to the woman. Most of the time it is not the intention of the man to get his partner pregnant. When they do get pregnant, he usually grips and says it is the woman’s fault that she got pregnant.
Since the beginning of time women have been told that they have no rights. But ladies, you do. You do not have to be subservient to a man. You can be his partner and meet him half way. If you are not willing, say no. If you do not want to, you do not have to. If he does want to, he can’t. You are not there to service him. If it is not a mutual thing it is of no value. If you do not want to have children it is your choice.
Let no man have control over your body other than on your terms.

Socialism
I wonder about people’s understanding or mental capacity. Socialism is an economic system that is the opposite of capitalism; Communism is the opposite of democracy. We have been living with various forms of socialism for more than 200 years. Socialism is a system in which the Government collects taxes and fees then distributes them back to the people in services, deeds and goods, such as military protection, police and fire protection, public schools. All of these are paid by your; Socialist Government. All people working for government agencies, be they federal, state, county or city, are paid by your Socialist Government with taxes and fees collected by them. Most all of these pay your medical expenses, along with your contribution.
Many are now drawing Social Security and Medicare, much more than we contributed. And believe me many of you whom are hollering SOCIALIST, are enjoying the hell out of it. If you didn’t have it, many would be living in the poorhouse (if they still had them) or under a bridge or in a shelter someplace, unless you figured out someway to live beyond the curve or raised some great children to help you, as I do. On the other hand we have those born with the silver spoon in their mouth and never had to worry about anything. Then we have the group that figured out early, get in politics. That pays really well.
We have Congressman; they figured out a long time ago how to legislate. Figured out what they wanted out of the Socialist Government, put the bill through for full medical benefits, pension retirement, salary with automatic raises, travel expenses, believe you me they all voted yes, not a one of the suckers voted no. Work, maybe: Fifty-two, five day work weeks, with time off for holidays and other time off for any reason they deem necessary to visit their district, show up for some lip flapping about all the great things the are doing for their constituents (that’s the ones that voted for them, or some of them) mostly for their large contributors, or visiting other states to help out their friends and campaign all year long, by money donated from corporations, to vote the way they want them to on bills in Congress. They might actually work a total of one hundred days of an eight-hour a day. Yet this is the bunch that really hollers socialism, but boy do they love it.
Of course, they got paid, the same by, our Socialist Government, when the Radical Republican fascism type was in the White House with its aggressive nationalism, militarism and racist, fundamental religious extreme right-wing views. They want the Socialist type government for themselves, but not for the rest of the citizens of this country. Many of them pretended to be upset when Wall Street and the big banks put the screws to our country, but they do not want it to be fixed. They do not want a watchdog group keeping an eye on them, if they have someone watching over them, they want get a slice of the pie, or as big a slice. Remember, November 2012, if it happens like many people want and we the citizens allow it to happen then we deserve to have our ass kicked clear into the following November.
Hey I am a Democrat, always have been, I was born before the great depression, when people had nothing. When the ‘Great Socialist’ got Social Security going for many of our old people, they could buy sugar and shoes and a few other things. Did any of you ever have to keep one pair of shoes for ten years and when the soles wore out year after year, you patch them with pieces of leather and small tacks, but you better be careful about placement of the tacks. A good Doctor didn’t take your last dime, he would take food instead, as he didn’t have time to grow and raise his own.
You people hollering Socialist make me sick you do not even know what it means. You just listen to a bunch of stupid people that do not need help, nor probably ever did hollering and griping, that they might have to pay more taxes, but it is alright with you for churches not have to pay taxes and many of them are very rich or the wealthiest ten percent not have to pay but a penance, because they had friends in high places. I never minded taxes, as I knew the only pension I would have would be Social Security and Medicare from my Socialist Government. Thank God for it and Franklin Delano Roosevelt for his foresight for many of us. He didn’t need it due to his station in life, but he knew many of the poor people in this country would.
Many are now drawing Social Security and Medicare, much more than we contributed. And believe me many of you whom are hollering SOCIALIST, are enjoying the hell out of it. If you didn’t have it, many would be living in the poorhouse (if they still had them) or under a bridge or in a shelter someplace, unless you figured out someway to live beyond the curve or raised some great children to help you, as I do. On the other hand we have those born with the silver spoon in their mouth and never had to worry about anything. Then we have the group that figured out early, get in politics. That pays really well.
We have Congressman; they figured out a long time ago how to legislate. Figured out what they wanted out of the Socialist Government, put the bill through for full medical benefits, pension retirement, salary with automatic raises, travel expenses, believe you me they all voted yes, not a one of the suckers voted no. Work, maybe: Fifty-two, five day work weeks, with time off for holidays and other time off for any reason they deem necessary to visit their district, show up for some lip flapping about all the great things the are doing for their constituents (that’s the ones that voted for them, or some of them) mostly for their large contributors, or visiting other states to help out their friends and campaign all year long, by money donated from corporations, to vote the way they want them to on bills in Congress. They might actually work a total of one hundred days of an eight-hour a day. Yet this is the bunch that really hollers socialism, but boy do they love it.

The Republican Political Circus
I have seen a lot of political crap in my lifetime. They say, anything to excite the crowd. Folks, this is serious business. As children we all liked to go to the circus, but even eight hours was enough. This circus started when old John McCain needed something to pickup his downhill run for president and chose Sarah Palin to bounce up onto the stage like the new gal in the local strip joint. She started out as the Soccer Mom from Alaska, plus she was the Governor. She went from one extreme to the other. Loved the spotlight and old John stood behind and let her go wild. I think he thought her smart mouth and everyone cheering would win him the presidency. It reminded me of the wrestling matches, when they first started showing them on television years ago, everybody screaming and yelling ‘kill him’ for one or the other guys, but even that got old and many people out grew it.
Now he is trying to keep his seat in the senate and she jumped up on the stage again. I hope it works as well as it did last time. She and the tea party crowd are a sad sight to look at. I wonder what she is getting paid this time???
Anything to be president, is this what anyone would want, a bunch of loud foul-mouthed guttersnipes following him around the country doing all the talking and he still doesn’t have anything to say, except downgrade someone else. No dignity or decency involved. McCain hasn’t really done an awful lot of anything since he has been in Washington. He makes a lot of statements, them turns around and contradicts himself in a few weeks or months. You can’t live on a career of having been in the navy and in a prison camp all the rest of your life. This country is full of men who went though the same thing and many of our men who didn’t make it.
He might have learned what it took to survive but if his actions of the last, two years is all he learned about the decency of being a human being, he wound up on the lower part of the totem pole. This country has people from every walk of life that think this type of political behavior is downgrading our government. In fact the whole bunch of republicans have become lower than a snakes belly. In Texas 12th Congressional District, the senate and the house can’t even get together. Of course they all voted no on Health
Care and Education Act and I, am sure many poor republicans really appreciated that. We really do have some poor republicans. Senator’s voted yes on FAA Air Transportation Modernization and Safety Improvement Act, but Rep. Granger voted no. In fact they usually vote no on everything that would be good for 75% of the people.
I really hope that come November many of them get dumped on their ass, as they are not worth much. And I know they hope the same thing for the democrats, in fact there are many of them that need to be dumped also. The one’s that play both ends against the middle. Even though we had to fight both tooth and nail to get the Healthcare bill passed, even though it was not everything we would have wished for, it is a start with something to work on. We should not have compromised with anyone. A little is better than nothing. We have time to proceed ahead on other things.
Should the republicans be able to buy the presidency in 2012 with the help of the supreme court justices (I will no longer capitalize them, other than some individually), The people who are helping really deserve what they will get. They got the debt with Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush II, the small government advocates. Obama got the leftover trash and the blame. But he is a bigger and better man than the one who left it. They will get their just dues. They made a mint, but when they get to the end of their road, they will leave as naked as the day they came.
It is really great to have a president who wants to do good for all people of this country. It was a slow start, with no help from some of the democrats and no help from any republicans, damn their sorry souls. But he will keep trying and many will help him. I ask God to help him, help his people.

Today as I watched My President Barack Obama sign into law our long awaited Healthcare for all of the United States of America. I think back over history from 1600 to 1865.
It was a terrible time in our history. From 1865 to 2010 has not been the best of times either. All through these many years I have read and listen to all the phrases: The Land of the Free, Liberty for All, yet during this time we have had all manner of slavery and unjust laws, laws made by human beings and believe you me they made a lot of mistakes. Even when many of our forefathers realized that many of our laws were unjust, not many were changed, without bloodshed.
After the Civil war where Americans fought Americans for what reason I have yet to fathom. I have heard many different things. The main reason to, free the slaves in the south, which really didn’t work for the whole country. The north also had slaves. They all wanted to keep their slaves, so they could sit on their butt, while the slaves did the work and they could prosper without having to pay for their labors.
What is inside the soul of a human being that makes them want to own another human being?
The Constitution didn’t fare to well with Freedom and Liberty for all. All, the old south wanted to secede from the Union. States Rights!!!! They wanted to continue on with their way of life and have slaves and not be under the thumb of the Government. The various Governors of these states didn’t really want to be a part of the United States if they had to follow the law of the land. They still don’t.
To bad we aren’t able to pick people that we put in a power position that has a moral compass; that knows about God’s Law of “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. Even before President Obama signed this bill into law, different politicians were out trying to break it. Why do they not believe in the Constitution, that all men/women are created equal, that all the citizens of the states they represent have a right to have the same healthcare coverage that we the citizens of the United States furnish them? No they do not, they still want to be a notch higher than the people they are supposed to represent, the very people that pay them to represent them in the best possible manner. They keep promising the people year after year, so they will be reelected, but they never come through with those promises.
But one damn thing for sure those Senators and many of the Representatives do not do without anything. They keep wheedling every dollar out of their constituents and all their wealthy friends and the corporations pay them really well to vote the way they want them to. Got a list today on HR 3590 contributions to both parties. They take from the groups that supported the bill and they take from the groups that oppose the bill. The groups that oppose pay the most. And do they pay well. Seven republican senators were paid over 1M each for a total of $10,718,336. to oppose and they voted NO of course. They also were paid to support the bill. I didn’t put that amount down. I didn’t put down contributions less than 1M. Many of them did not take contributions, so all of them weren’t bought and paid for. My list also tells you how they all voted. Don’t you admire their honesty?
As I watched the voting on the bill and the abominable behavior of the Republican Party, I was ashamed that they were American citizens and had the audacity to call them-selves Christians. The bill needs work and it is not all that the President and many others wanted, but it is a start, we always have to start somewhere.
