The Constitution of the United States of America

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Now the part I don’t like: Article V

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to the Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner effect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article: and that no State, with the Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

My problem with this: I believe, as one of the citizens, who’s ancestor’s (even the one’s who were already here, when they were invaded by the immigrants from other countries, then not considered citizens) helped ORDAIN AND ESTABLISHED this Constitution for the United States of America, that no changes should be made to the Constitution, without it being put on a federal ballot for all “WE THE PEOPLE” vote on it.
I have seen changes made to the Constitution, by The Executive Branch and both Houses of the Congress, that were not good for “WE THE PEOPLE”, but for the benefit of corporations and their wealthy friends, and whatever they wanted to do to exploit other countries. This also applies to the State Constitutions. I know that we as citizens elect these people at their request. But many of them take advantage of the office. Many officials take advantage of their office of power by thinking that we gave them the right to do what ever they want to do, because we elected them.

ARTICLE VI: The third paragraph states:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several States Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or Public Trust under the United States.

THE OATH ENACTED IN 1884

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, with out any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

They lie: the part about mental reservation: Mental Reservation is a 700 year-old doctrine, where clerics can avoid telling the truth to protect the Catholic Church. The idea dates to times when there were two court systems; ecclesiastical or church courts, and civil courts run by the State. I do not want my government run by ecclesiastical or church courts, the world had that at one time, so the politicians should not be allowed to bring their religion into our government. Today all disputes are settled in civil courts, maybe. Frankly too many are handled behind closed doors in back rooms, then, considered classified. Classified; that’s the things the administration doesn’t want anyone to know about. The ones, where they don’t follow the rules to run this country (city, county or state) but the politicians who run this country, with the help of the Justice department and the Supreme Court, keep changing the rules and not for the good of we the people. Many people probably think that I am not religious, but I definitely believe in the Supreme Power of God and his rules, but many things I do not believe in the Bible, which are written by men, handed down by word of mouth, and you know what happens by word of mouth, it’s called gossip and most people swear it’s the truth. I do believe the Ten Commandments (don’t always follow them) but I know they are rules to live by. Politicians try to change all the rules we live by to suit themselves. They try to bring their beliefs in to government. I keep hearing republicans say about the other side of the spectrum, “they don’t uphold our moral values”! They do not have a moral compass, if they did they would take it out and play with it or sell it. I don’t know how much money the religious institutions have been paying them, but I never found them doing anything unless they got paid for it. And the big institutions have lots of money that the believers give them in fact many are very wealthy. Many have never done an honest days work in the entire life, and they don’t pay income tax like the rest of us. Our politicians are just like many preachers, they are a bunch of conmen, they get rich taking money from corporations and their wealthy friends to vote like they want them to on bills in legislation, and most of it is detrimental to the citizens. It is time for it to stop. Are we going to have to have a revolution for it to stop? As I have always said about Lyndon Johnson, he was so crooked he couldn’t lay straight in bed and could straddle a split rail fence without getting a splinter. The majority of our politicians have the same deficit in their character, AVARICE.

Immigrants, Slaves, and Christians

History of the Underdogs that no one likes to talk about.

We can’t go back to the beginning, but it would be nice to have the chance to go back and do it right. But, with our, so- called Christian country, it will never be done.

When the people came to this country from Europe, they were looking for freedom of religion and freedom to live without being persecuted as they had been in the countries they came from. They were called puritans, and they were immigrants. They didn’t realize that they were not the first people here. They encountered the Native Americans who were here first. Of course your history books in school taught you that the Indians and the pilgrims got along together, Thanksgiving, turkeys, pumpkins, etc., big feast. Schools still teach this, in fact schools still teach a lot of things that are not true.

We were supposedly civilized and they were ignorant savages, so we started taking their land and pushing them onto reservations. We took their children from them and put them in schools. To teach them the English language, they were forbidden to speak their native tongue and taught them to be civilized like they were! I’ve forgotten the year, but does this sound a little familiar nearly 400 years ago. Anyway, they stole the Indians lands, murdered as many as they possibly could and ran the others off their lands where they had lived all their lives, onto areas of the country, where there was no place to fish, plant or kill the wildlife to feed themselves. When our government found out the reservations that they were forced to live had lots of mineral value, we even cheated them of that. We raped their women, stole their children and tried to make slaves out of them. They felt they had a right do this because they felt the Indians were inferior to them. The supposedly Christian mindset is really strange. They think they are superior and better than anyone different than they are. Think there religious beliefs are better than anyone else’s. After all the terrible things that we as Christian’s have done to people that were put on this earth by the same maker for the same purpose, to live in peace, prosper and replenish the earth. No matter the color of their skin, God, gave it to them, no matter the language they spoke, God gave them that also. I believe as in the Bible; we are to love one another. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. I am not going to say I don’t dislike anyone, I do, but It’s not because of their race or religion. It is because of something they did to me. But as we have gone down these many years, nothing changes.
Another really sad thing, for years they were not considered citizens of this country.

In many ways they are the same. The economy was kept alive, in the south by the slaves. They worked the huge farms and plantations, while the owners sat on their posteriors enjoying all the reward. They did all the dirty work. Took care of the animals, cleaned the houses, did all the washing and ironing, did all the gardening, gathering the food, canning and cooking, made the clothes, took care of all the children. I thought it was really strange, that Mother’s who couldn’t or didn’t want to nurse their babies, they were nursed by a nanny or mammy as that is what they called them, lo those many years ago.

They did all the menial jobs that their owners didn’t want to soil their hands doing. Another sad thing that slave owners, did was to take the men to work in the fields and they were kept in a separate place to live, away from the women and children. They left one big strong male to service and control the women and sire any children. This was told to me by a friend whose Great-Great-Grandparents, had been slaves, (she was born in Virginia and had a brilliant mind, grew up and went to college in New York and always kept up with the real world in which she had grown up and the history of the south. I was born in the third world state of Alabama and wondered as a child why people were treated so differently, so we explored many of these things together as friends).

Whatever it took to run the country they were forced to do. With no compensation, other that a shack to live in and what food was necessary for them to survive and be able to work. If they objected, the overseer used the whip. There was no one to protect them. They were bought and sold like animals. Great bunch of Christians, this country, was supposedly built by. But they were supposedly freed. Then we had the KKK to keep them in order, still do in some places. The only jobs they could get were the same ones they had been doing, but for a few cents a day and if they didn’t like it, at least they could now leave, but had no place to go. Yes, we were a great nation of Christians. I think God will disagree.

As they moved away from the south to the north and to the west, it was the same thing, menial jobs and mistreatment from every corner of this great land. Many finally pulled themselves from the terrible mire they were in. So many never lived to see real freedom. Thank God it has finally come to many of them, but we still have a long way to go.

Now too the Mexicans, known as the illegal immigrants, that were in this land, or their ancestors were in, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. Our greed propelled us to the west for more land and things to conquer, which we did.

Many were killed and others driven back across the Rio Grande into Mexico. Some got to stay, but wound up being peons for the conquerors. As they started to develop this area and grow, they needed help and guess whom they used to work the ranches? Mexican immigrants! Who weren’t really immigrants, they were here and had lived here for hundreds of years. They handled the cattle, horses, did the agricultural work and still do. The majority weren’t treated any different than the slaves of the south were. Back breaking menial jobs with little pay if any, maybe just a place to stay and food to eat. For years all of the wonderful vegetables we have gotten to eat, they planted, picked and shipped out, making the owners of the land very rich. Many come back every year to do this work for very little pay. Whole families return, live in tents or shacks and travel from state to state planting and harvesting. Treated badly and not appreciated for their work, by this supposedly bunch of good God fearing Christians. These immigrants are the ones who have kept the economy going in the cattle and agricultural industry in this country. Plus the housing industry, restaurant business, poultry business, hotel business, meat packing plants, they worked for the railroads, living in section houses all along the rail lines, maids and child care, laundries, clothing industries. You name it and they do the work. Now that they want to stay in this land of plenty that they helped to create, many people don’t want that.

They gripe and say the illegal immigrants are taking away the jobs from the American citizens. Bull! Those jobs were there all the time and the only American citizens that would do the work were poor uneducated people and not many of them. They also considered themselves better than the immigrants. They carried their prejudices from their ancestors from the old south, who always considered themselves better than the slaves. I wonder if people really give any thought to how they act and treat people who are different than they are. They can claim to be Christians, but they really aren’t.

We have millions of people who move to the nicer places in Mexico to retire, they can live cheaper and hire Mexicans to do their cooking and housework. We have companies that move their whole plants to Mexico, so they can have cheaper labor and make more money in fact they do the same thing, moving to China, India, Japan and other countries. There is one thing for sure we will never run out of AVARICE in this country. We want to take advantage of other countries and brag what a great country we are, but we don’t want anyone coming here, unless they are very wealthy and have connections with our politicians and the large conglomerates. If we keep going, China will own this country someday. Probably get our just dues. We used to bring the Chinese people to the United States to do our dirty work, building railroads, work in our mines, in fact we have been known to kidnap them, drag them aboard ships and bring them here to work. Rather like the slave traders. It also happens the same way with many of the illegal immigrants from Mexico. Some of the people called coyotes make “ mucho dinero” off these poor people, bring them here and dump them.

One of the worst parts about bringing the slaves, from Africa and other places, the Chinese, the Mexicans, and from other countries is the way they were treated especially, the women. The men of our country used the women for sexual slaves, spawned children. Put women in brothels all over this country and made money off of them. They accepted no responsibility for any children that were born. That’s why we have so many mixed races in this country. There is nothing wrong with being of a mixed race, just the way that many were conceived, without thought, rhyme, reason or responsibility, just a satisfaction for their lust. One of these men became a President, and one a Senator, how many more, we’ll never know, but God does.

If anyone reads this and understands what I have said, because it is the unvarnished truth, you will understand why I, as one am so tired of hearing people say this country was built on Christian principles and rejects Jews (which Jesus was), Muslims, Buddhists and various other religions, races and anyone that speaks a different language. They seem to forget that God made all of us what we are. He is responsible for all the different people being on this earth. He said they were to believe in him as our Supreme Power, and all of these different religions believe in God, many call him by a different name. God, Jehovah, Allah, God of Israel, different languages or different names, but they mean the same thing. God made all of us different and I thank him for that, I sure would not like to be as hate filled as a lot of the human beings in this world. Many do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah. But guess what, over the world we have so many different versions of the Word of God. Many religions are not allowed to read the Bible or the Word of God, their priests, teachers or leaders read and tell them what to believe. The Catholic Church was one of these. There was a time when many people couldn’t read and just relied on what the leaders told them. I had a great friend who was a Catholic priest and he once told me, “Evelyn any religion is better than none.”

One of the most simple and easily understood routes to religious, rules is in the beginning. The Ten Commandments and that, was before he gave his Son, Jesus to us. Even though we are no longer under the Law of Moses, but the Grace of Jesus Christ, as he died for our sins. The Ten Commandments is still a good rule to follow. To bad there is not much truth left in this world, or love of your fellowman. God will help you, if you help yourself and follow the road he laid out for us. It is hard to look at the truth, and the truth is, we as a nation are no better than any other nation. We do the same dastardly things that other countries do. And then we are arrogant enough to pretend we are better, and think, other countries should be like the United States, we are hypocrites.

Our corporations, with the help of our government have exploited other countries for their, diamonds, gold, copper, silver, all-minerals that are useful, oil. The leaders of these countries and our companies became rich, but the people remain poor and badly treated, much like many citizen of this country. Many do not know how to overcome their plight in life. We have many people preaching and telling the poor what to do, but most would not walk around the block to help. And they sure do not reach out their hand. Deut. Ch. 15 vs. 7 thru 11.

You cannot be a Christian and live by the rules God gave us and be prejudiced against any human being because of their race or religion. Therefore, we are not a Christian nation, as many people keep espousing.

American Indians

AMERICAN INDIANS

A couple of weeks ago I read this article in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram about the American Indians. It reminded me
Of an article I had written previously November 9, 2009,
Immigrants, Slaves, Immigrants and Christians. A History of the Underdogs that no one likes to talk about.

This article states:
Protestant church apologizes for massacres, displacement.
Members of one of America’s oldest Protestant churches officially apologized Friday---for the first time---for massacring and displacing American Indians 400 years ago. “We consumed your resources, dehumanized your people and disregarding your culture, along with your dreams, hopes and great love for this land,” the Rev. Robert Chase told descendants from both sides. “We the Collegiate Church remember our part in these events.”

The minister spoke at a reconciliation ceremony of the Lenape tribe with the Collegiate Church, started in 1628 in the then-New Amsterdam as the Reformed Dutch Church. This week, President Barack Obama declared Friday the first Native American Heritage Day. The reconciliation ceremony was held in front of the Museum of the American Indian in lower Manhattan, where Dutch colonizers had built their fort near an Indian trail now called Broadway, near Wall Street. (The Associated Press). Wonders never cease it took 400 years to apologize for all those dastardly deeds.

Now today another big headline: U.S. to pay billions to settle Indian trust fund claims. The federal government announced Tuesday that it intends to pay $3.4 billion to settle claims that it has mismanaged the revenue in American Indian trust funds, (which isn’t enough-when old Bruce Babbitt was handling this years ago, it was over $5 billion, if my memory serves me) potentially ending one of the largest and most complicated class action lawsuits ever brought against the United States. The Obama administration on Tuesday proposed spending more than $3 billion to settle claims dating back more than a century (how about 3 centuries) that American Indian tribes were swindled out of royalties for oil, gas, grazing and other leases (like gold, silver, copper and other ore’s). I am not going to copy all the article. But in my opinion if we furnished all the ancestors of the Indian tribes free everything for the next million years it would not be enough to make up for the inhuman treatment that their ancestors and they have endured at the hands of “Christians”.

FACT VS FICTION

I was watching C-Span on October 21, 2009. Big party at Union Station in Washington, DC. 20th Anniversary Dinner to name the new “ Keeper of the Flame.” Frank Gaffney, Founder and President of Center for Security Policy was speaking and he mentioned that Donald Rumsfeld and Sen. Jon Kyl had been awarded this dubious distinction in past years. This night Dick Cheney got the award and became the new “Keeper of the Flame”.

I listened as he tried to downgrade President Barack Obama (which is nothing new) because he was not accelerating the war in Afghanistan fast enough to suit him and the rest of the warmongers and referring to all the great things they did during their years in charge. Seems they want to keep the wars going with another big military buildup and are upset because President Obama wants to eliminate the nuclear arsenals.

Mr. Cheney is still trying to prove everything he and Bush did during their reign of terror was for the good of the American people. They are both still trying to build a legacy on a bunch of false statements. In fact the whole Republican Party is trying to keep their “Flame” alive. After listening to their stupidity and watching them stumble all over each other up on the little stage, I thought “20th anniversary”??? They must have started this little special club in 1989, after Reagan left office. Are they trying to keep alive the reign of Reagan, as the great savior of the Republican Party?

“Keeper of the Flame?” That sounded familiar----my mind started racing back through the years to where I had heard it before. Then it dawned on me---a movie in the 1940’s ---“Keeper of the Flame”. This was about a big American Icon who everyone admired and looked up too. Millions thought he was our greatest hero. He was a famous civic leader who, prior to his death, had secretly planned a coup d’etat against the government of the United States. A journalist planned on writing a flattering biography of the dead man, only to unearth a plot to cover up his true plans. This man was an industrialist who founded a wildly popular patriotic boys club known as the Forward American Association. The widow is the “keeper of the flame” honoring her husband’s memory, and is determined not to let anything damage her husbands reputation.

The Widow finally breaks down and tells the journalist that her husband was a fascist who was plotting with veterans’ organizations and the Forward America Association to overthrow the government of the United States. She had just found out the day before he died—accidently. The widow shows the journalist papers that revealed how her husband (backed by ultra-wealthy, power-hungry individuals) planned to use race hatred, anti-union feeling, ethnic hatred, and anti-Semitism to turn various groups against one another in the U.S. in order to create the chaos that would let him seize power. He died in an accident (he could have been saved by the people who really knew him--but they knew America would be better off with him dead) people came from all over to his hometown to mourn. The people involved with him were trying to keep his legacy as a great wonderful person alive. But it was discovered he really was a terrible person, a member of the fascist movement or party. (Fact and fiction are often very similar).

Many critics gave the film a positive slant like, “truly provocative in that it was one of Hollywood’s first forays into imagining the possibility of homegrown American Fascism and the crucial damage which can be done to individual rights when inhumane and tyrannical ideas sweep a society through a charismatic leader and clearly links wealth and fascism and points out the ways in which patriotism may far easily be turned toward fascist ends.

I had to go to the dictionary for a description of fascism and fascist: A totalitarian governmental system led by a dictator and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism, militarism and often racism--and has extreme right-wing views, a perfect, description of the majority of the Republican Party and definitely of Bush and Cheney. This is where a parallel of fact and fiction meet.

The ones that are no longer in office, like Bush I and II, Cheney, Gingrich, Armey, Gramm, DeLay, Thompson and their corporate buddies who would like to control the world one way or the other are out there trying to keep the flame of their fascist republican party shining bright. These people hate everyone that is different than they are. They are racist up to the hilt. They do not represent any of the citizens of this country that do not believe as they believe. People of their ilk have been conquered before and it is time to do it again. We need to get rid of all the old politicians that no longer believe in a government run for the people and by the people. The states need to get rid of the governor’s, that are running the states to suit themselves in lieu of running the states for the betterment of the citizens of that state. We also need to clean up our Supreme Court. They do not follow the constitution and they judge cases by what the people that put them in office believe and want. Dishonesty abounds in all facets of our government.

Dick Cheney now is the “Keeper of the Flame” for a year. I hope someone puts his fire out soon I’m tired of looking at him. When the Attorney General of the United States gets to show and published all the records from the last 8 years of the Bush Administrations reign of terror, then the citizens of this country will know what they are really like. Actually we know about Nixon but he and many friends tried to keep his façade going. A lot of bad things started with Reagan and Bush 1 (Iran-Contra, I remember it). The majority of all our politicians are dishonest, all parties.

I quote again what my husband said on March 20, 1994, “The worst enemy that the people of any country has, is its government and leaders.”

Useless Wars

Vietnam was under Chinese control for a thousand years before becoming a nation-state in the 10th century. Successive dynasties flourished along with geographic and political expansion deeper into Southeast Asia, until it was, colonized by the French in the mid-19th century. WW11, Japan invaded, ran the French out. Japan retreated and set Vietnam free. The French tried to come back. Vietnam asked the US for help, they said NO. Vietnam asked Russia for help, they said YES. France asked the US for help, they said YES. US sent advisors, US sent troops. The Vietnam Conflict (War). So we weren’t there to protect the United States, we were there to help and protect the French. France and the US set up a Democratic President in South Vietnam to justify their presence. And the war went on and on, our country lost so many of our wonderful soldiers and Vietnam lost their soldiers and citizens; another useless war. No ruler of any country should have the authority to send there military in to a war to fight someone else’s battle to take over another country. I can see giving them help in other ways, but not the lives of our children, husbands and fathers.

9-11 happened. We head to Afghanistan. As we were told that was where Osama bin Laden who supposedly was head of this terrorist plot was. I don’t think anyone ever talked to him we just had messages stating it was his idea. So in we go to another useless war. How many times has this poor country been over run by other countries for years and they never succeeded in conquering it? We fought for a while and ran some of the Taliban out. Seems Delta Force was going after bin Laden. To kill him, not bring him back alive. They got pretty close, but orders changed, they didn’t know whether the orders were from Central Command all the way up to the president of the United States, and they didn’t get an explanation. I always felt Bush didn’t want bin Laden brought in, as they were big friends of his family in Saudi Arabia. So we start the POLITICAL war in Iraq, by Bush and his warmonger buddies. All eager to make a killing on big contracts and they thought they could take over the oil production for our American corporations. Now we head back to Afghanistan. The warmongers and the military Generals want more troops and to keep the war going. They are after their job security so are the big war machine manufacturers. I would love to see who has stock in these big companies and whom they pay under the table.

Ask any peace loving Muslim and they will tell you we are fighting a losing battle, as the people will never change. They haven’t in thousands of years. No one has ever really conquered this country by fighting wars. Check your history; ask the people who have fought in that country. If we can’t find a way to get along with the people diplomatically it is a lost cause.

IRAQ FIASCO

Now this is my own opinion about this fiasco. We attacked this country for no reason, other than greed. We weren’t good buddies with Iraq, especially after the gulf war incident in 1991, when we ran over to protect Bush 1’s friends in Kuwait and Saudi in their fight with Iraq. We left that country in a mess then also. Bush 2 and his friends wanted to conquer Iraq and take over the country. Bush and his buddies wanted to go into that country for their oil and they made any excuse they could to get there. They wanted nothing less that complete control. A lot of the guys that Saddam had kicked out of Iraq helped the Bush gang find excuses to go after Saddam. After the 9-11 attack they used that, but you know there was not an Iraqi in the bunch. Saddam did not like Osama bin Laden and he wasn’t anywhere in Iraq. Shows to go you!!! We are a gullible people to have believed the Village Idiot and his warmongering cohorts. Terrorist! Terrorist! And the majority of our politicians signed whatever that sucker put in front of them. Well we went and broke that country and now you think they ought to fix it. I don’t. I think every money grubbing SOB that went to that country to make money, all of Bush’s friends, Cheney’s affiliates and the big corporations that made money off this mess ought to pay for it.

Tenth Amendment

Tenth Amendment?

Georgia and Texas, they are really on the ball. Sort of like seceding, but not quite. Hey why not go all the way? Have a problem with everyone not following in your footsteps? Find out the whole damn state are not Republicans? Maybe it’s because you really aren’t big enough to handle the job. Georgia is full of big old loud mouth racist fools with not much gray matter between the ears. They are just loud mouthed and many have been known to carry big sticks when they were kids, many haven’t outgrown it.

Texas is big enough, but this whole damn state is not Republicans either. I don’t believe Texas has the option of seceding. Now we do have the option of being divided into 5 states. Since the real majority of Texans do not want to secede or be divided. Maybe we can make a deal with The Supreme Court (they do make deals). The people who want to remain in Texas and as a part of the United States, get to choose the portion of the state that we are willing to let the people who do not want to be a part, have, (I know 2 areas, either one would have enough space-maybe the size of Rhode Island). I would love to write the Charter for it, which the “stayer’s” will get to do. Plus we have to get new names. Not Georgia No. 2, or Texas, Jr., think up something unique. Let’s have a state, naming contest.

For Georgia, take a small portion from the center of the state to the east coast. Leave the rest of Georgia circling them.
For Texas the same, in one area I have in mind and partially in the other with Mexico on one side.
No international travel or commerce. They must have passports to enter the United States on a limited time only. Give them the same privileges we give Cuba. This is only fair, as what they have now from the United States is not good enough for them. Since most of them bellyache about our helping people in third world countries, I am sure they will not want any help from the United States Government. Parts of Texas are nearly in a third world country condition. 49th in, education and 50th in healthcare. Parts of Georgia are just as bad.

Use your common sense

Use your common sense

I am not the smartest person on the block, but I am not dumb enough to believe untruths spouted by people for the wrong reason. I know right from wrong and have not done every thing right and lots of things wrong, but it was my own fault, it wasn’t from listening to others. The majority of us have a little common sense. We need to find out the truth for our-selves instead of listening to a bunch of loud mouth politicians and their hirelings telling us what to believe. You can find out anything you want to know, that is good for you and your family. Make up our own mind. Are we to lazy or is it easier to let someone, tell us what to think or do? We all have the same capacity to think and use our mind. As a parent you do not tell your children to do the wrong thing, nor your friends, why would you listen to someone else tell you what to think? Always check if you do not know what to believe. Get the true facts, “just the facts”, not someone else’s untruths.

Ask yourself, why people are pressing so hard to not have healthcare? Dumb as I am I know. Most of you are smarter than I. If you do not lie to your children, don’t let someone else lie to you and get away with it.

I thought McCarthyism died with old Joe, but hey it’s alive and well in the form of “Repugnantism”. Panic in the streets, “socialism and communism” again. Worked once might work again. Don’t let your kids go to school or watch TV, they might see and listen to a President they can be proud of. The Republicans can’t have that my God he is black/white man. But you all—he is a MAN. One many of us can be proud of. He earned his the hard way.

As I watch and read the news with all the bull spit being strewn with lies and hoping people will believe them, some do. But the ones with common sense will not. Many times our children are smarter than we are and they will know the difference. If you do not teach them the truth, they will grow up knowing their parents lied to them. But when all is said and done I guess the best thing to do it ignore them. I heard someone say, “never interfere with anyone intent on destroying themselves”. After all Joe McCarthy destroyed himself and in the long run was hated for it, and our country was better when he was gone. We could be lucky again.

NORTH TEXAS REPRESENTATION:

Members of Congress from North Texas, would have people believe that all people of that area are Republicans and do not want healthcare. They lie through their teeth. Have any of you read the percentages of uninsured people in North Texas House member’s districts? It is something for them to be proud of. The Texas district with the highest rate of uninsured is, represented by Rep. Michael Burgess, Republican of Lewisville. But it ranks only 239th of the nation’s 435 House districts. He is a physician? Not really paying attention to his constituents is he, or could it be that they are the very poor or democrats and he doesn’t see them?

Those politicians can twist their words to suit what they want to say, but they are dishonest. They do not want to give up their perks from the conglomerates this is the reason they are fighting so hard. You ask any decent human being with a voice of reason if they would like to have healthcare coverage and they will tell you yes, even a little will help when you have nothing. Rather like when you are hungry, you might like a steak, but a piece of bologna with two slices of bread and it doesn’t have to have mayonnaise or mustard on it. I know I have been there. Of course all our politicians have the best for themselves, with all the bells and whistles, at our expense. I cannot believe that they have the unmitigated gall to fight the healthcare bill to keep any type of coverage from people that cannot afford what we give them. May the Lord have mercy on their miserable soul of course I’m not the “Christian” they profess to be, so I hope he doesn’t have mercy on them. Many people can afford coverage if they have been lucky and still have a job or if they have saved for the raining day and misfortune does not fall upon them, as it has many people I have seen. Sort of reminds me of our Veterans who went to war and were promised medical benefits should they be injured, but when it happens they have to fight tooth and toenail, wait forever and even have to go to court at times, many die before they get the needed help. Too bad our politicians don’t have to fight as hard for healthcare. It might cause them to have a little compassion for their fellow man. Frankly I think most of them are of unsound mind or mean as hell.

They might not like our government run Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid for the majority of us. Our elderly relatives, parents and I do and thankful for it. It is a lot better than going to the “pore farm”. They live on a higher plain and have only the best, and resent anything that would be for the poor and middle class. I watch on all the bills and guess who always votes a big NO on all the things they consider entitlements? The Republicans. As a citizen of this country it is unfathomable to understand why a person would choose republican ideology over human dignity. It doesn’t matter that I watch, but God watches.

On this date, I was watching C-Span, America & the Courts, their date August 12, 2009. U.S. Court of Appeals-Ninth Circuit. Chief Judge Alex Kozinski, Senior Judge Preston Hug and Judge Stephen Reinhardt.

Brought before the court was a motion to see if the court can order the VA to change the law that deals with disability claims on post-traumatic stress disorder and brain injury. Seems these claims are delayed, delayed and then delayed time and time again, (sometimes for years). Gordon Erspamer, Attorney for Veterans of Common Sense vs. Shinseki. Due to backlog in veterans medical benefits claims. Charles Scarborough, Justice Dept. Attorney for VA Sec. Shineski.

The Judges didn’t seem to understand why, what or the reason for attorney’s to bring this before their court, nor did they have an answer or advice to the young men, (even I understood the reason). It is the mandatory duty for the VA to furnish healthcare, in a timely fashion to our veterans. Why should injured veterans have to sue the United States Veterans Administration for benefits, after fighting in these damnable wars? Stop fighting the wars and take care of our injured men.

As I listened to these elderly Judges, I thought to myself, they had never been in the service nor had they had any children in service who had been injured, if so, they would have known what this attorney was fighting for, “their rights”. Judge Kozinki even asked Gordon Erspamer what he wanted, “a medal”? Told him to come back with more information, etc., and he had plenty of information. They were as useless as “tits on a boar hog”. They have been on the bench to long and do not know what justice is, or have become harden and without compassion in regard to the plight of human kind. They are a waste of taxpayer time and money, as are many more in our Justice Department. I have said many times, “we need an overhaul”. It seems as these three old guys did not want to be bothered with such mundane trivia or could not admit they did not know what or how to help our VETERANS. Same as always, “PASSING THE BUCK”.

Now he has had to leave with his work unfinished.

President Obama must carry on, as he has the same dreams for the citizens of this country. All of us must help him. We can do it without the people who really are not for we the people. I do not consider them citizens of this country. They are a group of people who live off the taxpayers and consumers. I for one feel that we must work to better our country for all of us, not just a few privileged ones. There really are more of us than there is of them; and if they will not help, then we must not allow them to hinder the fight for the common good of all men. If revolution is necessary, then so be it. Let’s get busy before my warranty expires and I can still walk and carry my weapon.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.**Sorry, you don't keep up with things, all you have been interested in is fighting everything he is for, instead of really listening to what he wanted to do.
You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support। **Gee whiz, did you ever wonder how other people paid for their education? My husband and I had 4 children. His parents helped, my husband worked days and went to school at night. I worked nights and did the rest, house, kids, etc. He got 4 degrees: BA, BSC, MBA, LLB/DJ, all from Ivy league schools. President Obama had a Mother who worked, Grandparents who worked and helped, as they wanted the best for him. He also worked. Who said he had an upscale lifestyle? He didn't. You might not know, but people can live on a bowl of oatmeal and a couple of sandwiches a day and make it just fine. You can live in one room with an electric hot plate. Have use of a bathroom. You can wash your clothes every night and hang them up to dry while you study. As long as you are interested in getting an education you can do anything, and it doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg.
You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of you th growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.**In case you didn't know, Hawaii is in America. His Mother remarried and moved to a foreign country. He went to an American school, then his Mother sent him back to live with his grandparents, until she returned to the States. Wonder what all the families that traveled to other countries when they were in the service and their children went to school outside the United States, do they not consider their kids culturally American?? I have a niece that went to school in several countries and speaks several languages and still lives outside the United States in Spain, as she married there. She has dual citizenship and still considers herself an American, votes by absentee ballot in America. Now has 2 sons which she takes to other countries every summer and teaches them other languages and cultures of other countries, which I think if absolutely wonderful. It is wonderful to be a citizen of the world in lieu of being small and close minded like a lot of us are. Plus she thinks her National Healthcare in Spain is absolutely marvelous.
You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.**Neither did Jesus, nor the Pope, nor any of the rulers in Europe, neither did George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and many other Presidents. But they knew what it entailed to run a country.
You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core। **Military experience only teaches you to kill and conquer. Being an 82 year old woman and having been a service wife, sister to 3 who was in the service and a long line of relatives who have been in all the wars in this country. 2 grandfathers and 5 great-uncles in the Civil war. 3 great uncles never returned. Where were they buried, who knows, we could never find out, it someone dug a hole for them, or they rotted where they lay and the buzzards ate them. And they others had to walk home from where they were when the war was over. We were in WW11, my cousin who my parents help raise, he was 5 years older than I. He was in the Bataan Death march and in a Japanese prison camp. They put them on the Japanese ship the Arisan Maru and was transferring them to Japan to work in the mines, the ship had a red cross on it, but guess what. She was sunk by the USS Snook on October 24, 1944, with 1800 American prisoners on board, while crossing the South China Sea, 200 miles south of the Formosa Strait. It is estimated that not more than 10 prisoners survived the sinking. His body lies at the bottom of the South China Sea. I have all his medals
etc।, with letters from MacArthur and the SOB's didn't even spell his name correct. Tried to get the government to correct it, but that was a lost effort. I could go on for days. So don't tell me about the lousy military and its CORE. What's to understand? They do not give a damn about the men after the war is over. The ones that stay in, hey it is the only life they have. Too bad. You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others**The guy that wrote this article, has no class and does not know what humility is। You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail। **You need to be scared if you really believe this radical propaganda. Remember, “Oh what a tangle web we weave, when first we practice to deceive”, by Sir Walter Scott. The terrible lie’s you are spreading in regard to the healthcare plan, will back fire on you. All people aren’t gullible, just a few. When they sit down and have time to think, they will ask themselves why you are saying all these things. After all, you politicians and government employees have government healthcare. Be you republican or democrat. What’s the matter don’t you want the poor and middle class to have decent healthcare coverage too?

They can’t afford what the taxpayers furnish you. They can’t afford the prices the insurance companies are asking for. You know the companies that are paying you under the table, as campaign contributions, to shout other people down that are trying to discuss the healthcare program. We older people are on Medicare and glad to have it, it is a government run program and does really well except for the various health industries that defraud it. If all the fraud was eliminated which is about 50%, Medicare wouldn’t have a problem at all. That is not the government’s fault, only the healthcare industry. When you put your hand on that bible and take your oath of office, it is our understanding that you are to work for all the citizens of this state and country, no matter which party they belong to. So if you really have any integrity, use it and stop this stupid rabble rousing. Show us that you can be a person of character. If not we will all find out sooner than later.

MY PRESIDENT

To all, who send me e-mails knocking MY PRESIDENT (and this is the first time in my 61 years of voting, that I have referred to a president, as My President) I delete your twisted perceptions, obtained from propaganda and paranoia that is going around. We now have a black/white man for President. The South is not going to rise again. All of you who claim to the Christians and most of you do, and all plan on going to Heaven. What are you going to do, when you get there and find out that GOD might be black? Remember he made all people and made them good. Color made no difference to him. It was what was deep inside their heart and soul that counts.

The ones that did not retain the gift that he gave to all of us, to love one another and live peacefully on this beautiful planet he prepared for the human race, one and all, are the ones who have lost the most precious part of life he gave to us. Remember the free will that he also endowed us with. I feel badly for people who have used it in the wrong way. Their souls have turned dark and malevolent. Hatred, bigotry, avarice, greed and corruption have set in. You might enjoy your power and riches that you have derived from this type of behavior, but in the end you will reap what you have sown. You will leave this earth without being able to take it with you. You will be as naked as the day you were born. He will look into your soul for the good that he put there and not finding it, your Maker will not smile upon you. When you walk that last mile, there is nothing and no one between you and the real JUDGE who will be waiting.

I have family whom I love dearly, but they have these malevolent feelings brought on by listening to people in power that have the attitude that they are better than some one else that God gave the same gift of life, goodness of soul, but a different color of skin and the spoken word. People seem to forget that people born in another part of Gods planet other than what we claim as ours, it is not ours, it will be here when we are gone, if we haven’t blown it to smithereens. Why is it that people cannot accept and be grateful for what God gave us? People want to go to the moon, mars and other planets, (though I must admit there are some I would like to send there, with a one way ticket) if he had of wanted us there he would have put us there. The high and mighty with power once that have attained it, put down their stakes and flags on parts of this planet, but are not satisfied. They make laws that are contrary to Gods laws and contrary to the people that inhabit this land, so that they will have more power, (for, myself I will abide by a just law, not an unjust law) they invade other parts of the planet and try to take over, mistreating and killing other people. Again I say, “You will reap what you have sown”.

Many of us have already reached that point. Many do not recognize the truth. I found some other quotes and I do not know who they are from, they are: “ The truth is self evident to every rational thinker. The truth is polarizing. The truth often makes people angry, especially people whose lives and livelihood are set up in ways contrary to the truth.” Boy do we have a lot of those nowadays, all the people who do not live by the truth are really raising heck about all the changes that need to be made in our government and it interferes with their avarice. This one I know where it came from,
“We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth…For my part, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst; and to provide for it.” Patrick Henry.

Well citizens, we have known the truth about the sad state of affairs our country has been in for a long time, but we wouldn’t face it. In 2008 we found out the worst part. Things went down the sewer due to the avarice of many. They knew what they were doing and are still trying to do, but they do not care as long as they are getting their pockets full. I hope this President can change things, but people from every walk of life, who do not want things changed, as it will mess up their playhouse. The worst part—it is many of our politicians, very wealthy businessmen and corporations who do notNeed the money to live a good life. So they get the propaganda going and paranoia sets in. People are saying things, twisting words and meanings that have no resemblance to the truth. Telling people that what needs to be done is bad for them. Surely, people have common sense and a voice of reason. Don’t listen to the big mouths that are spouting all the untruths. Read, dig out the truth for yourself; use your God given intelligence and common sense. Ask yourselves why the rich and powerful are fighting so hard. Please understand one thing, many of the politicians are not working for you. They are working for themselves, their wealthy friends and the corporations. “THEY CAN TWIST PERCEPTION AS MUCH AS THEY WANT, BUT REALITY WILL NOT BUDGE”. If the needed changes cannot be made, you will find out the sad, sad truth in the long run. HELP MAKE THE CHANGES, DO SOFOR YOURSELF AND FAMILIES.

PHYSICIANS

Once upon a time becoming a physician was an honorable profession, in the days when they did so for their love of humanity. I know that people are tired of hearing, back in the old days! But back in the old days young men and women who decided to become doctors, did so due to having seen so much suffering, from family members and other people who had no help and they really cared about people.
Many of these came from the country or the ones I know about, as this is where I was. Raised on farms and they worked their way to make it through medical school, with the help of family and friends. When they made it, they came back to the country where people needed them. Lived in homes of the people, where they were close. They traveled by horse and buggy to people’s homes and when the buggy wasn’t able to travel down or up the paths, they unhooked the horse and rode it. Specialist’s, yes they could do everything. Pay, maybe, if people had any, they paid with money otherwise they paid with what they had. Butter, eggs, chickens, canned goods, dried foods, cured meat such as hams, dried beef and anything eatable, or they waited until the crops came in or the various hides and animals were sold. They were glad to get the food they could at least eat. They took it back to where they were staying, the lady of the house cooked it and they shared. The lady of the house also did their laundry and the family got free medical care for their rent and services. They didn’t have time to grow their own food and was glad to get it. No telephones—If you needed a doctor, you got on your horse and went after him, day or night he came back with you and he didn’t ask if it was an emergency. That was a DOCTOR. I could go on for days and I’m sure many other people could about the things these wonderful doctors did. Sure they lost some patients, some were impossible to save, but most didn’t die from infections caused by the doctor.

I note that we have physicians now in congress!! They left the honorable profession to go to one that is no longer honorable. I wonder why. They weren’t any good at it, didn’t want to go through the hard work or they didn’t make enough money? So they go to a profession that has become nothing but a bunch of crooks, driven by avarice and greed. They didn’t have the intestinal fortitude to continue doing the profession they had chosen. The jingle of Midas took over. They lost their love of humanity if they ever had it.

There are many wonderful doctors I have known. A relative of mine, born on the Sipsey river in Alabama. Worked on the farm and in sawmills, became a doctor and worked until he was very old, helped start a hospital. He was proud of his life. Others I have know, the one who brought me and my brothers and sisters into this world, he came whenever he was needed. He started in the horse and buggy days. Then, he and we got cars. He still came. In 1929, my younger brother got sick. Daddy got in the car (a T-model) and went after him he came in his car (a new one). When he got there and checked him out, he said he had diphtheria and we needed to take him in to the hospital, about 20 miles away. So off they go, Daddy drove his car, Mother and Dr. Hall sat in the back seat. Things got bad Dr. Hall said I am going to have to open him up. With very little light, with my Mother holding him, he took the fountain pen from his pocket, pulled the ink tube out, slung the ink out, cut his throat and put the ink tube in so that my brother could breathe. Drove on into the hospital checked everything out. They stayed at the hospital until the next morning, then, he drove everybody back to the farm. Never any infection! The only after affects and it still shows today 80 years later is an ink stain around the scar. Now that’s what I call a real DOCTOR. Everyone he ever treated and cared for loved him, even named their kids after him.

There are still some like him out there, but what happened to the rest? I had a great one in Dallas. He had been in the navy. Always, so kind and considerate, listened and discussed then treated you. You could always call him. You could call and say, I need to come by to see you on their way home from work even though I didn’t have an appointment, but it will be late, he always said, I will wait for you. If something came up on Saturday he would meet you at the office. In all the years I never once had him ask if I had insurance. Nowadays the first thing they ask is, when you call for an appointment is, do you have insurance and what kind? Some will not take cash. They want insurance, so they can pad the bill. I adopted a totally handicapped child and sometimes don’t think I could have made it through all the things without his advice and help. He practiced until dementia set in. When I moved away I drove 92 miles to go see him and I could call if I needed to ask him something or advice. Now you can hardly get someone to take a handicapped child as a new patient, though he is now 44 and we are on Medicare and Medicaid, no one else would insure him, unless you had a few million. Dentist, do not take Medicare or Medicaid, or at least I have never found one. Medicaid doesn’t cover dental if you are over 19, even though mentally your only 6 months old. Medicare doesn’t do dental at all. Some company insurance (which we had as long as we worked) would cover a handicapped child after 19, with a special letter from the doctor, which ours always wrote. When you can no longer work and be covered, you are up a creek without a paddle. As Medicare and Medicaid covers the bare minimum.

I guess the insurance companies consider my son with a pre-existing condition. No, that’s the way god sent him into this world and I accept him unconditionally. I have had all the corrective surgery that could be done on him. He is deaf, blind, mute and non-ambulatory and I take care of him like a baby and have for the 42 years that I have had him 24/7. Basically I have kept him well. I appreciate the wonderful doctors that I have had. Some I wouldn’t give 2 cents for.
Our politicians aren’t worth 2 cents. The politicians that will not work with this President to help him get better medical care for all of us who cannot afford the care we furnish them, their day will come. Plus they will have to meet their maker, as they really aren’t immortal, and he will ask, have you done the best by all my people that you could? Then he will weed the chaff from the wheat. Which way will he turn you up or down?

Blue Dog Democrat

“Blue Dog” Democrat? Are you half democrat and half republican? Then you are not a real democrat, you’re a fence straddler. Actually, we should change that to “Purple Dog”, that’s a mixture of blue and red. I am ashamed as a 61 year voting democrat. For the first time in all these years the democrats have a chance to do something good for their constituents. Evidently you do not appreciate the job you asked for and got, for which you promised to do good for the people that elected you. 75% of your states are poor and middle class and you are not working for them. You are like the republicans, working for you wealthy friends, corporations and yourselves. I read a list of people taking campaign contributions and the amount so far. Of course that’s just the ones they have checked on. All of you aren’t guilty. That is bribery, you can call it contributions, but it is still avarice and greed-- but if you do a good job for the people that elected you, you want need all the campaign money to get elected. But if they watch and keep up with all that is going on, as I do they might not. I watch all states, not just mine as I have relatives living in most states. I watch new people coming into government for the first time. Some I thought might be really good. But I have been greatly disappointed in some. Many have been there too many years and should be fired.

In my 82 years, we finally have a president who cares about all the people in this country, not just a favored few. Quit catering to the 25% of the moneyed bunch. This has been happening for the last 50 years and this is the reason the bottom fell out from under us. All those people, that keep buying favors from politicians to keep helping them make more money has ruined our country and our politicians. The ethics and integrity of the majority has been shot. Even our justice system went political and was shot to hell. Maybe we can get it back.

Being born in Alabama during the depression in 1927, I know the south like the back of my hand. I have relatives in the south I love them, but don’t like many of them. When we go to the family reunion my daughter feels like clamping a hand over my mouth. The majority are racial bigots—claim to be Christians—but they have never proved it to me. When I called to ask some of them to vote for Obama—I got the, I want vote for a black, that’s not the word they used—but I don’t use that word. I thank God that the made me different. I remember man’s inhumanity to man and it makes me ashamed. I can see this same feeling in some of our white politicians in the south. I think their souls are warped. The play nice and use proper political protocol but there is no way they can disguise it from me. I watched as a child, as a grown up, in the service during WW11, on the buses, water fountains, hospitals, stores, just walking on the sidewalks in towns, I wondered why the black children in the country didn’t go to school, they didn’t have a school, they worked on the farms all day with their parents. We did also after school and the summertime. I wouldn’t take for my upbringing. I saw a lot of things that made me sad and ashamed of the so-called “white Christian” race that I was born into and still am every day. When people were bold enough to make remarks about black people to my face, I always ask, what they were going to do when they got to heaven (as they all plan to go) and find out God is black? They always moved away from my desk, it only took one time. Of course they always eyed me peculiarly after that.

In the long run the healthcare reform will not cost as much money as it does now. 50% of our healthcare industry is strictly fraud. If we can get it reformed and regulated, just eliminating the fraud will pay for it. I have worked in both the medical and insurance industry and I know the fraud is there. And have been a victim of it. If you had been on the ball doing the job you are paid for, most of you would know it also. The information is there for all to find. Start working with this president, we need you to do the right thing for this country and all of us who are hard working people just trying to make a living, not trying to get rich or cheat anyone, just be able to survive with a little help and a boost up from the bottom.

Talk about getting to big for one’s britches! Suggesting that any Texas lawmaker inclined to vote for Obama’s healthcare plan should consider leaving the state. Those law-makers were voted in on their own merit (even though I wonder about some of their merits) and if the citizens that want to keep them will do so. I think a lot of us need to give a lot of thought to whom, we vote in next time. Ask ourselves what has this person done for us, other than play follow the leader.

I wonder which part of the medical profession, insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies that they have their hands in the till. Texas is one of the lowest on the totem pole, when it comes to doing the best for its citizen. I’m sure they read and check on all their stocks and investments, they need to check on all the other figures in where we stand in the United States. Texas is not self-sufficient. We need the rest of the country to work together to better all things for our citizens.

Mr. Perry did not want to take the stimulus money, especially for unemployment benefits, as he would have to raise the rate, and that would upset the big corporations. It hasn’t been raised in God knows when, and Texas rate is lower than any other state. Now he wants to borrow $643 million from the federal government, what is the difference, oh yes, to take the stimulus he has to follow the rules and he doesn’t want to follow anyone’s rules except his own. Ask some of the people who collect only a $100 or maybe $200 a week to feed their family. And we pay around $10,000 a month for him a fancy home. Move him into a trailer in a trailer park and use that money for the unemployment he has dipped into for other purposes. He does a lot of fuzzy math with designated taxes. He criticizes Washington’s bailout mentality and the feds trying to dictate state policy. He talks a big game, but someone needs to look after the citizens of Texas, when things are bad. Perry doesn’t except for a special few. Another thing, who- paid for the trip he and the other people that went to Iraq with him, not once, but twice, this year? Bet you a buck it didn’t come out of his pocket. The taxpayer’s again???? What business does he have going over there, his, job is the State of Texas and he needs to get busy doing it. Hey! TEXAS NEEDS A NEW GOVERNOR

The one we have has gone absolutely nuts! Texas is part of the United States. All of the people in it are not republicans. Mr. Perry does not speak for all the people in Texas and he cannot run this state to suit himself and his friends. 75% of the people in this state are poor and middle class. Sad Remark

Today, I heard Sen. John Cornyn of Texas say Judge
Sotomayor’s record is medium at best! I have heard over l00 people more qualified than he say, her record on the bench was better than any of the Judge’s now sitting on The Supreme Court before they got there. He has constantly harped on her remark, not made on the bench,
“A wise, latina woman, could do as well as a white male”. In whatever manner she was referring to, as she spoke to a group of young latina women about their future. I was told by, my Father, you can do that as well as the boys, I could and did, something’s better. I have seen many women do a better job than men in all fields. White males do not have do not have the patent on brains. Where they got the idea I don’t know, unless their Mother’s told them how smart they were.

I also heard him say he voted his conscience and what his constituents wanted. A few maybe, but Texas is 75% poor and middle class. When anything comes up for a vote that would help the poor and middle class, I watch as that sucker votes NO! But he isn’t the only one from of our hoard of politicians from Texas.

Public Option

But we have a problem. I listen to the deafening roar above all things of our politicians and companies about the cost of healthcare reform. I watch as they dance around the floor and try to overlook the pile of doodoo in the middle floor. No one mentions how easy it would be to really cut cost. That pile consists of their hold on the extra goodies. It is the fraud and price gouging by the insurance, pharmaceutical, medical supply companies and many medical professional. The roar is because our politicians and companies do not want to change this practice of avarice. Our politicians are being bought off and paid under the table by lobbyists and they like the money.

Avarice has a terrible stink from the doodoo in Washington. It has been there a long time. Healthcare alone won’t clean it up, but it’s a start. Clinton (rather Hillary did) tried, but had to give up the fight. No one else tried until Barack Obama came along. He will not give up the fight, but he damn sure is gonna have to step on more toe’s than he has so far. Trying to go about it in a fairly nice way will not get it done. The one’s who are fighting him do not give a rat’s rear end about what is good for all the people, only their self. I knew that before he got started. At 82 I’m older than dirt and for 61 years I have watched politicians. All of them, but especially the one’s from the South. They all thought they were born to rule the world. I wish he could mandate a price control from one end of this country to the other on everything. Then make a concerted effort to control the fraud. That would take care of 50% of our total budget. Next stop all the fighting dead in its tracks and bring our men home. And never do it again, unless they beg for our help. Stop trying to conquer outer space, which has been a waste of time other than spying on other nations. We might be able to get back on our feet.

Democrats, Republicans and Independents:

Many of you will not take the time to read what an ordinary citizen has to say. I have written to politicians asking questions, some have answered, but not about what I asked, but mouthing something about something they were working on and trying to pass or they ignored it altogether, their regular form letter.

I am an older than dirt white woman, born in the deep- south, Buhl, Alabama in 1927. I have followed the workings of the government all my life. Having lived through the first depression, a lot of it I didn’t like, but kept hoping for the best. Lots, of ups and downs. We have had some fairly good presidents and some very bad ones. I will say: all the republicans put us in the hole.

Everyone has there own opinion and here is mine. When we the citizens vote for a politician, we expect them to work for us. They do not; they work for themselves, their wealthy friends and large corporations. The, majority of them are on the take from the lobbyists for corporations, and you will find that many have stock in these companies. In lieu of working together for the betterment of our country, both democrats and republicans work against each other, with, “one-up-man-ship”. You remind me of a bunch of spoiled brats, “My way is better than yours”.

Or like the Shiite’s and Sunni, in Iraq. They have fought since year God one. Why? No one knows, I guess just trying to prove, one is right and the other is wrong. Well
Republicans and Democrats all of you have a problem!
You are supposed to be working for us, not telling us how to live our private lives, whether we should have an abortion or not. That is between an individual and God.
Ones religion is a private matter, unless you have become his emissary like the Pope claims and you can walk that last mile for us to meet the real JUDGE. Leave religion out of your politics. None of you are real honest to God Christians anyway, as your actions show.

Politicians are like religious leaders. When each of the different denominations started their religion, they all claimed it was founded on the Bible. But how can that be? It can’t be true, as they are all different. The majority of their rules are all man-made, as most of the Bible was told or written by men, as they thought things should be, not by God. In fact most people in those days could not read. They just understood the spoken word. The leaders of the various churches carried on this tradition. In fact today various, religions, still read to the people and tell them what to believe. They all claim they are right and through, them is, the only way to make it to the golden gate upstairs. Politicians do the same thing. Hey, the most of us can read and understand on our own. You are not up there to tell the citizens what, to do, you are there to do the job the citizens ask you to do, for the good of all. No matter the political party, religion, race or anything else that you don’t like about people. You go to find the answers about how to fix what we want done.

What we elected you for and what you get paid for, is a lot more than you are worth. You waste too much of our taxpayer dollars fighting with each other over whom is right. My husband once said, “It is a sad, sad day, when one outlives the truth in their lifetime”. Now I know for a fact many of you lie like dogs and never tell the truth you exaggerate the facts, and keep repeating them long and loud, thinking people will believe you. Some do, the ones that elected you, as they thought you were ethical and truthful people. But in my 61 years of voting I have found most of you to be a bunch of CON MEN and are, in politics, as it is a free and easy way to make money and play big shots in your home state. Most of you have a dark side in your soul filled with avarice and greed. You cheat the citizens that you are supposed to represent. You do not work for the common good of the little man. You work for the rich that cheat on their taxes in every way imaginable.

You travel all over the world to other countries, when basically that is not part of your duties. It costs the taxpayers. We have certain politicians that are assigned to do this, but I have seen many of you go and I knew you had no business going. It is a waste of time and money. You also waste time going back and forth to your home state, to supposedly talk to your constituents.
I have watched you and you do not go, county to county to talk to the people. You visit with elected officials and wealthy friends and corporations of the state and talk about things you and they want certain bills to be voted on to be passed. Have big photo sessions, so they can be put in the papers to show you were there. I watch our Texas republican politicians, as the vote; I always see a big NO by the Republicans for anything that applies to the poor and middle class. Yet you say I work for all the constituents of my state; that is not true. Haven’t you guys lived long enough too have learned truth is the best policy?

Every one of you needs to work with this President to see if he can help get this country straightened out. Reagan started some of this mess. He spent like a drunken sailor. He started deregulating. I will never forget what he did to the air traffic controllers. He helped start our troubles in the mid-east with the help of the perennial politician, the first Bush. I blame Bush and his friends in the oil business for many of our problems in that area. When he became president and his oil rich friends in Kuwait had a problem with Iraq. DESERT STORM! He had to protect his buddies, at our expense and more problems. He had been trying to set up his political and oil dynasty for years. He put us further in the hole. Clinton came along and even with all the republicans fighting him, he brought us out of part of the hole we were in. The second Bush came along. I love when you republicans talk about voter fraud. That was the biggest fraud I have ever seen. He went in to carry on daddy’s legacy, and keep his eye on the middle-east oil. We had 9/11. Iraq didn’t have anything to do with that. But he started a never-ending war there. That country had had enough problems fighting among themselves. Bush went after Saddam with a passion. I will never forget his childish remark about Saddam, “He tried to kill my daddy”. He also spent like a drunken sailor. Put us back in the hole were are in now. In the mean time, no one paid any attention to our financial world. Every ones friends were getting richer and no one gave a tinker’s damn until the bottom fell out. Then they tried to patch it up by giving more money to the people who helped perpetuate our downfall. All of you, who have been there for all these years, know the history, plus many of you know parts that never got out to the common people. (I know a lot of those parts, also and it is sickening). So far, no jail time for the white collar guys who did the dastardly deeds.

Barack Obama inherited this mess. Young though he is, he has known for a long time that this country was headed for trouble and had been for a long time. After only a short time in the senate, he saw that no one was really trying to fix it. This young man coming from what many “white people” would call the worst background in the world. Came with a set of ethics and integrity that surpasses any man I have seen aspire for the office of President. I am proud to refer to him, as MY PRESIDENT, which I have never done before. I do pray that he succeeds and that power does not corrupt him with the terrible disease of AVARICE.

Many of you with all the advantages in the world at your disposal did nothing, other than keep lining your pockets and aspiring for more power, and disagreeing with the other “SIDE”, whatever that means. Actually, it doesn’t mean a damn thing. Republicans mouth this old morality bit, claim to be for small government, say democrats are for big government and spend too much money. That’s a crock!
Either many of you cannot read or understand the balance sheet. There is no difference in either side, except the republicans do spend more than the democrats. You all do pork barrel politics and claim it is the other side. You all talk about the other side’s morals. All of you are guilty. I have found in all my years that the democrats, do more for the common people and republicans hang with the rich. That, is the unadulterated TRUTH, so don’t claim otherwise.

If the Republicans and some of the Democrats will not work with this President and help him for all our benefit in lieu of constantly bad mouthing him with all the false propaganda, we need to have a lot of unemployed politicians.

If this gets worse, I think a good idea would be to have the Government, close down and take over. All banks, mortgage companies, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, accounting firms, stockbrokers, airline companies, automobile companies, and put price controls on all these things all over the U.S., and the list goes on. (State agencies are in bad shape. Having worked in the insurance industry 35 years, I will tell you the Texas Insurance department is as crooked as hell.) All of them are rife with greed and corruption.
Private enterprise is great, but as they get bigger and wealthy, they get more corrupt. They forget that they can’t exist without the rest of us individuals who use their facilities, services and products and there are more of us than there are of them. I can remember when we didn’t have to use a lot of those conglomerates. 95% of us were poor, and 95% of us still are. Now, for you guys: We need to cut your pensions and put you on social security, cut out you medical benefits, as I know that you make enough money to pay for your benefits (as you do not want to give benefits to the poor) and cut your traveling expenses. You need to stay up there and work. I watch you when a bill comes up to be voted on, you rumble around the floor like you were at a social gathering, shaking hands, patting each on the back, trying to talk each other into voting your way on a bill, (you know, you vote my way and I will vote on your bill when it comes up). All you needed was a cocktail glass in your hand and one would think you were at the county club, instead of supposedly doing serious business for the people and country.

Our companies that have gone to other countries to make and manufacture goods and ship back over here are strictly for greed. They exploit other countries by using their people and pay very low wages and taxes. All they are interested in is their bottom line. They shouldn’t be able to call themselves American citizens. We should not allow them to ship their junk back to us. We do not need to have the junk they ship to the United States. We have spoiled our children rotten by buying the toys they manufacture. And we are stupid for buying all the other stuff.

As I said before, we need to set a price on all things sold in the United States. Especially: anything to do with, the medical profession. Medical profession is wrought with fraud, at least 50%. I’ve been there, done that. If we could get rid of the fraud in all of our government dealings, our budget would drop at least 50%. Other country’s that has national healthcare does a better job than we do. I have relatives that live in countries that have national healthcare. I have a niece who married a journalist from, Spain. She came to visit me with her 2 children for the summer. One son got appendicitis, she took him to the hospital and called to Spain, they told her to have the hospital fax the bills and they would pay them. They did with no problem. When her Father went to visit her, he couldn’t use his Medicare. And we keep bragging about how great we are. We are not; we are just greedier. We can’t even get or keep good doctors anymore, their excuse is they can’t make enough money with all the expenses, to bad we can’t pay them with food products like we did when I was a child and lived on a farm. They were glad to get it, and made house calls way out in the country, handled everything. They specialized in everything. They were real, not generic. It was for their love of humanity. Not anymore none become, physicians for their love of humanity, only for the jingle of Midas. We have as many doctors and nurses from countries as we do home grown. I have worked in this profession when my husband was going to law school. I had him and 4 children in school, so the 11pm to 7am shift at Parkland hospital in Dallas was ideal for my circumstances. This was in the days when we still had white and colored water fountains and restrooms. Some, doctors were great others had an aversion to different races.

Since we have all these useless good for nothing politicians who live on the tax payers dole for all their lives and can’t get rid of any of them, without them going out into the world, if they do not get re-elected and start to work for large companies as lobbyist to work in the halls of congress, bribing the politicians that are still there. Like the Jerk that pushed through the last addition to Medicare, with every ones blessing, which made the insurance companies richer. He then left and went to work for one of the big pharmaceutical companies for over a million a year. I remember Bush bragging about what a great thing it was for seniors. That was the biggest fraud perpetuated on the senior citizens that I have seen in a long time. Remember there are more of us than there are of you, and if you don’t start working for all of us. As all of you know the natives are getting restless. REVOLUTION IS STILL AN OPTION.

Not many people, especially from large companies and government have any pride in doing a job well done anymore. I, really think if you politicians want to keep you job, its time to learn to the truthful, ethical and do a good job. People will finally get wise to all of you one of these days and when election time comes around again you might get the axe. I know a lot of democrats and republicans who should have gotten the axe a long time ago. We have some that are so old and decrepit, they can hardly get around. Many have never passed any bills that have helped anyone. They put in a lot of pork and get it through under the table for their state, so that their constituents will keep electing them. Robert Byrd of WV is one of them. We had some others that nearly had to be carried out.

Many of you are very well educated due to your back-ground and never did an honest days work in your life.
Many worked like slave to get their education. Many are overeducated with no common sense. Becoming a politician was an easy way to make a living. Many became a politician because they thought they could help. Many who were not corrupt, became corrupt, as it was lack of character. Many keep fighting for the right thing to do. Others give up and take the easy road.Being intelligent is good, but I remember a quote from Alexis Carrel (1873-1944) “Intelligence is almost useless to the person whose only quality it is”.
