The Constitution of the United States of America

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Now the part I don’t like: Article V

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to the Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner effect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article: and that no State, with the Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

My problem with this: I believe, as one of the citizens, who’s ancestor’s (even the one’s who were already here, when they were invaded by the immigrants from other countries, then not considered citizens) helped ORDAIN AND ESTABLISHED this Constitution for the United States of America, that no changes should be made to the Constitution, without it being put on a federal ballot for all “WE THE PEOPLE” vote on it.
I have seen changes made to the Constitution, by The Executive Branch and both Houses of the Congress, that were not good for “WE THE PEOPLE”, but for the benefit of corporations and their wealthy friends, and whatever they wanted to do to exploit other countries. This also applies to the State Constitutions. I know that we as citizens elect these people at their request. But many of them take advantage of the office. Many officials take advantage of their office of power by thinking that we gave them the right to do what ever they want to do, because we elected them.

ARTICLE VI: The third paragraph states:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several States Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or Public Trust under the United States.

THE OATH ENACTED IN 1884

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, with out any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

They lie: the part about mental reservation: Mental Reservation is a 700 year-old doctrine, where clerics can avoid telling the truth to protect the Catholic Church. The idea dates to times when there were two court systems; ecclesiastical or church courts, and civil courts run by the State. I do not want my government run by ecclesiastical or church courts, the world had that at one time, so the politicians should not be allowed to bring their religion into our government. Today all disputes are settled in civil courts, maybe. Frankly too many are handled behind closed doors in back rooms, then, considered classified. Classified; that’s the things the administration doesn’t want anyone to know about. The ones, where they don’t follow the rules to run this country (city, county or state) but the politicians who run this country, with the help of the Justice department and the Supreme Court, keep changing the rules and not for the good of we the people. Many people probably think that I am not religious, but I definitely believe in the Supreme Power of God and his rules, but many things I do not believe in the Bible, which are written by men, handed down by word of mouth, and you know what happens by word of mouth, it’s called gossip and most people swear it’s the truth. I do believe the Ten Commandments (don’t always follow them) but I know they are rules to live by. Politicians try to change all the rules we live by to suit themselves. They try to bring their beliefs in to government. I keep hearing republicans say about the other side of the spectrum, “they don’t uphold our moral values”! They do not have a moral compass, if they did they would take it out and play with it or sell it. I don’t know how much money the religious institutions have been paying them, but I never found them doing anything unless they got paid for it. And the big institutions have lots of money that the believers give them in fact many are very wealthy. Many have never done an honest days work in the entire life, and they don’t pay income tax like the rest of us. Our politicians are just like many preachers, they are a bunch of conmen, they get rich taking money from corporations and their wealthy friends to vote like they want them to on bills in legislation, and most of it is detrimental to the citizens. It is time for it to stop. Are we going to have to have a revolution for it to stop? As I have always said about Lyndon Johnson, he was so crooked he couldn’t lay straight in bed and could straddle a split rail fence without getting a splinter. The majority of our politicians have the same deficit in their character, AVARICE.
