GOVERNMENT THEFT

Government theft of the American working people’s pension, Social Security!  The government did not request permission to take or borrow our money from the Social Security Trust Fund.  Therefore as silent as a thief in the night they stole from us and have not repaid a single penny.  We the American working people are CREDITORS of the United States Government, but in lieu of paying your debt to us, the Republican Party now wants to cut us out entirely, along with Medicare.

We have always had corrupt politicians, but since 2000 they have been the worst I have ever seen, Predominately Republicans.  We the American people are tired of being constantly manipulated by politicians for their advantage and our disadvantage.  None of you have done a damn thing for the citizens of this country, just yourselves.  It is time for all of you to go home and get a job if you can find one, you have failed at the job you promised to do.  All politicians, federal and state, you are all a bunch of leaches and you talk about poor people who draw food stamps and are on Medicaid.  None of you are worthy of drawing food stamps and Medicaid.  There is not a criminal in prison as low and sorry as all politicians who live off of the taxpayers and steal everything they get their hands on while pretending they are doing the right thing for the American people.  Every day you take food from people’s mouths in order give to the rich of this country that do not need anything.  Hey all of you who claim to be Christians, God will not forget the bad things you have done to his children.

Dear Congress

Last year the majority of we citizens who make under $50

thousand a year and the ones who lost their jobs haven’t been able to managed any type of budget other than to barely feed our families we have decided that since all the big corporations do not have to pay income taxes, we have come to a unified decision that we will have to shut down our checkbooks and will no longer be able to pay taxes.  I’m sure all of you will understand.  We thank you for allowing all the corporations to set an example for the rest of the people to follow.  Of course this might mean that you will not be able to give the corporations big income tax credits for the time being, until we have been able to find employment again.

Since many of the companies we have worked for, have gone to other countries, many of us have thought about going to another country to work for them, but have looked at the way the United States treats people from other countries that come here to work to make a living and decided those countries might treat us the same way.  Since this is now a country that does not offer gainful employment to its citizens, we are going to have to ask for aid like the United States sends to other countries.  Food stamps don’t go very far, but we can go beg left over food from restaurants or military bases. 

When a family member first went into the military service and had duty in the mess hall they threw away enough food each night to feed a lot of families.  When asked if they could take the food to shelters that feed homeless people, their answer was no!  When asked if they could find farmers who had animals that it could be given to, their answer was no!  It just went into the garbage.  This was good food that could have been saved and used the next day, but no, it went into the garbage.  Had they been married and had a family they would have been glad to take it home to feed their family.  I wonder if they do the same thing in Iraq and Afghanistan, would they really throw it away with hungry people all around them?

Our nation has been a wasteful nation and there has been a method to their madness.  They didn’t throw everything away; they chose a few to give all the perks and tax credits too. And allowed them to screw the rest of the citizens with no recourse for all the damage they did.  We now have a country full of homeless poor people with no one to back them up, as the congress has to give all the excess taxes to a favored few and fight damn useless wars. 

Republican Presidents and republicans in Congress with the help of some democrats and the Supreme Court have fractured our society of citizens.  And it is time to put a stop it.  Under Article II, Section 3, the Constitution reads:  The President may, on extraordinary occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such a time as he shall think proper.  NOW IS THE TIME!  Since the Republican House is trying to hold our country hostage over our debt, caused in most part by the Republicans when they were in power.

I know everyone reads the Constitution to their own liking.  Lots of things I don’t like in the original Constitution.  Many things have been changed, but not enough.  One has not changed in regard to the public debt.  Amendment 14 (1868) Section 4, states in part, “The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payments of pension and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, SHALL NOT BE QUESTIONED.  The Republican Party who swear by the Constitution are not following it.

I have had people say that only refers to after the Civil War debts!  When the Constitution was written it didn’t say, “but subject to change”.  I think when it was written the founders felt like there were many things that were not “subject to change” and I think the debt was one of them, as it has not been changed and I think it will stand the test of time, until our country ends.  That means we really will have to raise taxes on all of the Republican Party’s pet corporations, just like has been done before by both republicans and democrats when it was needed to be done.  And NOW REALLY IS THE TIME.  No more playing the party favorites, everyone with money will have to bite the bit the poor have already bitten through the bit and can’t go any further.

The Response and My Response

The Response? Rick Perry and his political party rally is not about being a Christian and doing the right thing by the citizens of Texas or any other place on this earth. The God and Jesus Christ I know will not be at the rally. All through our Bible that everyone claims to believe in it states that both God and Jesus Christ favor the poor and homeless. They also state that the poor and homeless will be with us for all time.
James: Chapter 2: Verse 5: states; “Hearken my beloved brethen, ‘Hath not God chosen the poor of this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

Jesus Christ was homeless. St. Matthew, Chapter 8, Verse 19 states: “And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.” Verse 20 states, “And Jesus saith unto him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head”. Since Rick Perry is furnished a magnificent $10,000.00 dollar a month to live in by the citizens of Texas, rich and poor alike I don’t think God and Jesus Christ will be there to applaud him. “Mark: Chapter 8: Verse 36: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

Rick Perry has already lost his soul due to his treatment of the poor citizens of Texas, all races and religions. He has forgotten or maybe he never knew that God created all races and religions of this world. He brought his Son forth for a reason. And he died for our sins. What a terrible loss, as I don’t think it has helped as much as God thought it would. We have a group of republican political religious nuts that have become the devil’s playground and are trying to take over and rule our country. They claim to be Christian’s, but there is not a real Christian among the bunch. They are a bunch of avarice ridden, power hungry, greedy corrupt people, that will never feel or see the light and grace of God and our savior Jesus Christ.

It will not matter how much money the rich and powerful have and raise, it will not get them anywhere but the graveyard in the end. Our Maker and our Savior still prefer the poor and homeless and true believers.

A PROFOUND SENSE OF JUSTICE

Yesterday a young attorney friend e-mailed me and told me she would be headed back to court next week on a case she had been working on for a couple of years. None of us know how it will turn out. But we have hopes for justice. For her all she wants is justice for her clients, as her service is free to them.

I thought of her profound sense of justice and her will to fight against the wrongdoing of the other party that use their power, money and the political system to remove the rights of citizens that have no power, money or political clout to sway the outcome of a disagreement between parties.

Those of us, who believe in justice, expect our judicial system and the courts to back us up, but at times they do not. Our judicial system has never been perfect but over the years has become overly political from the Supreme Court on down. You have heard the expression, “money talks”. It really does, who pays the most money gets to talk their way to the winning goal post for their client, even though the other side proves that their client is right and has been abused by an unfair advantage of power in all forms of devious tricks to win at any cost for gain.

We always hope in the long run that justice will prevail in favor of truth, honesty and ethical use of the justice system. I have seen many times when the court system of judges and lawyers did not do their duty in an ethical manner. In fact our jails are full because of that reason.

In case anyone hasn’t noticed in the last fifty years, none of our republican politicians have had a profound sense of justice and only a few of the democrats. Whatever it takes to win be it right or wrong! Oh, by the way our President Barack Obama has a PROFOUND SENSE OF JUSTICE in case no one has really paid attention to him in the two and one-half years over all the hateful remarks made by strange people who have no sense of what really goes on in our world unless it revolves around them and what they want.

Justice and Natural Law

In looking up the definition of Natural Justice in Black’s
Law Dictionary, it states; Justice is defined in a moral, as opposed to a legal, sense. Right across I noticed, “Justice-broker” (followed by the word “archaic”).
The definition: A judge who sells judicial decisions.
I thought for a minute on the meaning of the word archaic. It was an old law possibly not used anymore. Frankly I think it has always been used and in this day and age more than ever. Especially by our Supreme Court Judges!

Then I switched over to Natural Law. The definition:
1. A physical law of nature (gravitation is a natural law).
2. A philosophical system of legal and moral principles purportedly deriving from a universalized conception of human nature or divine justice rather than from legislative or judicial action; moral law embodied in principles of right and wrong (many ethical teachings are based on natural law).

So again I question why our legislator’s in Congress and our State Legislator’s are making laws that involve moral principles of natural law that delve into a persons private moral actions and behavior? I think those suckers are trying to take over “The Supreme Power – God.” He is the last and only Judge, not some two-bit politician.

IT’S NOW OR NEVER

As I sit and watch our great country I cannot believe that we the citizens have allowed the politicians to take our rights from us. I know it is not what my ancestors fought and died for. We have allowed the Congress and the Governors of each state to make laws, vote on them pass them into laws without each of them being put on the ballot for all of us to vote on, to accept or not to accept.

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country. And I mean that literally. The 535 members of congress and the 50 governors have decided they own our country and intend to run things to suit themselves. I know that the citizen’s of each state is not satisfied with the way their state is being run. I also know that the President cannot do a damn thing about it. But we the citizens can. Let’s all pack a sack lunch and head to the Capital of every State – you know, the one known as OUR HOUSE. Governors and politicians have come to the conclusion that they own it and we have no right to interfere with their business, the business they are supposed to be doing for ‘We The People’. They are doing business for themselves and the power hungry companies. Every bill that is being passed in the State of Texas is not for the people, only a favored few.

Yes we really do have voter fraud, but not the type the state republicans are insinuating we have, of people trying to vote when they aren’t eligible to vote. We have people who have legal social security cards, but have no driver’s license, as they do not drive, some never have; they have nothing with their picture on it. Many do not have birth certificates, as they were born at home. People who are now old and moved all over the country as children, some do not even know where or which state they were born in as their parents traveled all over the country during the other depression trying to feed them. Many did not go to school as they helped their parents work in the fields or wherever they could find work, and there is no one left that would know or remember them. These are the people that have been disenfranchised all their life. Some of these people have never voted, but could have, as they were citizens of this country. But instead of our politicians being interested in helping all people and giving them the right to vote, they want to repress all the people that they don’t want to vote, as they might have the inclination to vote for the other party. That is one type of fraud, the other is redistricting. What are they afraid of? Why aren’t people allowed to vote for whom they want to vote for?

They are trying to put people in little cubicles so that they can control whom they vote for. A republican district here a democrat district there, etc. The worst voter fraud at any given time in our country was not caused by people not eligible to vote, but by politicians paying workers at the precinct to stuff the ballot boxes. This has happened on both sides of the fence. It was not by the voters, but by crooked politicians, wanting to keep their well paying jobs, at the expense of the citizens. Any politician that says this isn’t so, is a damn liar, and most of them are.

Not once has it been mentioned that we the people are to vote on this law, we have not been asked either. It is blatantly dishonest to pass laws that affect the citizens of any state without their permission, and not being allowed to vote on it. It is a persons right to be allowed to vote if they are a citizen. They know whether they are a citizen of the United States and you politicians have no right to tell them they aren’t. My deceased parents had no birth certificates, as they were born at home. My Mother never had a driver’s license and I had many older relatives that were the same. My grandfather drove all his life until he died in 1939 and never had to have a driver’s license, never had insurance, nor did he ever have a accident. But
They paid poll taxes and voted. You just had to have your poll tax receipt.

If you owned property, even slaves and paid your poll taxes you could vote, if you chose to. Then they got rid of poll taxes, so all people would be free to vote, it they chose to. Now our politicians are setting up a new type of poll tax. Voter ID and you have to have an address. If you are a homeless veteran and live out under a bridge on the highway, are we going to tell that person he can’t vote? What if he travels from one state to another during the year and has no permanent address, but is a bona fide citizen of the United States are you going to tell this person there is no place for him to vote, unless he follows your rules? He has that right even if it’s not your rules! Many of these men still have an interest in what goes on in our country, but most of them do not like qualifications that have been sent down that they have to live by the rules of politicians. These people have fought for their freedom and yours, but frankly you politicians do not deserve it.

The other type of voter fraud is the voting machines, with no way to trace your vote and the vote totals can be changed, by the flip of a switch and politicians want us to trust them! As I said before it’s time to put a stop to it. We can wait until the next election to get rid of all them, and go back and get rid of all the laws made in the last 40 years, or head to the Capitals now and tell them it is time for them to leave, peaceably or by force. How many hundreds of years has it taken other countries to get rid of the dictators that repressed them? In the long run the citizens of this country will have to hit the road for a change, if we want to live free with our rights intact.
Every nation has men that are ruled by avarice. The United States has always had this type of men, but in the last 25 years it has gotten so bad, that we are at the point of no return. Man’s inhumanity to the poor and middle class people by the politicians that were elected by hook or crook is unbelievable. Let’s do something it couldn’t be any worse than what has already happened

STUPID POLITICIANS

Rep. Leo Berman, R-Tyler is worried about the Islamic Law of Shariah! Not all Muslims live under the Islamic Law of Shariah, only the radical ones. He is worried about what the law does to women. Hey, if all women worn Burqas we could put the cosmetic business out of business – but that would upset our big corporations, so we can’t have that in America. And he is worried about women being humiliated! What do they call it when the politicians want to ban Planned Parenthood and abortion by choice? They are humiliating women when they mess into their own private personal privacy. Let’s ask the men how many of them take Viagra or how many of them have had Penal implants? Bet they would tell people it was none of their business, right? Well it is none of their business what women do.

This article I read states, they note increasing instances of other states recognizing foreign laws, for example, give a father custody of a child or deny a restraining order for a wife. That jerk seems to have forgotten our history of treatment of women in America. We did the same thing. If a woman dared to leave or divorce a man, the courts always gave the children to the father, or if he wanted to leave the woman, he could also take the children, and all property. I have a whole book of Wills from the State of Alabama. Women had no rights. Property given to a woman by her parent’s, automatically became the property of the husband, even the slaves given to her.

We women finally got the right to vote under Amendment XIX in 1920, didn’t mention the word WOMEN, just on “the account of sex.” The rest of our rights we have had to fight for on our own. Get credit, buy property, etc. and we still do not have the same rights as a man. As a woman I resent the hell out of our countries treatment of women. That old fart Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, said we women do not have any rights under the CONSTITUTION. Well I don’t know how long his ancestors have been in this country, but mine have been (and some were already here) since the boat landed and America was discovered and, have fought in every war this country has had, they earned my rights, liberty and freedom and I intend to keep them, whether Scalia thinks I have rights or not, he is just a man, and God made both man and woman. Men try to make us believe we aren’t important, but without us they would be up a creek. Without us that sperm they want to continue expelling around would wind up on the ground.

I learned long ago as a child, that a woman is the best part of this universe. The only things a woman can’t do that a man can, is stand up and urinate (but she could if she inserted a catheter) or impregnate a woman. New medical miracles – artificial insemination! We don’t need the man, only the sperm and they are always glad to sell it. Sort of a form of prostitution! This for a woman to use if, she wants a child and she doesn’t want to put up with a man around. I have seen very few men that were of any help with the children in a household. They put to much importance on themselves.

If some of our nuts would quit worrying about new people coming to our country, who had lived under different laws, just leave them alone, their women will someday, I hope take their own rights, as we women had to do. In fact I know some that have. They do not wear burqas in public. They have always worn makeup in their homes. Most do not wear burqas inside their home, just in public, as their husbands do not want their faces seen by other men. It seems, to be the man that has a problem, not only in other countries, but in America too. They want to be the head honcho and tell women what they can do and not do. For me the old saying, ‘it will be a cold day in hell or icicles in August’ before I allow that to happen to me.

Pat Carlson, President of the Texas Eagle Forum said, “This is something happening in other states.” When asked if she thinks Shariah is invading the country, she said, “It has got tentacles in our country.” The tentacles of Shariah or terrorist do not bother me, what does bother me is the tentacles from our CAPITALIST REPUBLICAN POLITICIANS that are trying to take over our country and take us back to the 1800’s. Dorrie O’Brien another republican said, “Shariah law is a complete way of life.” Yes, just like the Catholic religion, the Morman religion and some others were in the beginning and the Amish religion still is in this country. The Amish do not bother anyone, nor do we bother them. They live their religion so do the people who live under the Shariah law, it is their belief. The majority of people in the United States claim to be Christian, but few are, as they constantly mouth hate and resentment against other people of different religious beliefs, prejudice against different races. People you can’t be a real Christian and do that.

Remember the terror from the Catholic religion of old in the days of the insurrection??? Things had to be their way or the highway – plus they also killed to prove a point, their religion or none! Frankly I find the United States of America’s politicians trying to prove the same kind of point. Saying, “people from other parts of the world, you can’t live in this country unless you do it our way, believe as we believe, dress as we dress, follow all our laws, even to your own personal private lives inside your own place of abode, even if you work and pay taxes just like SOME of the Americans do, and if you are very wealthy and form a big corporation and make lots of money to pay the politicians with, they don’t care whether you pay taxes or not”. Plus you can do like most of the rich and politicians do, anything your big enough to do and if it outside the law, that’s okay with them, you can buy off our corrupt judicial system, they like money anyway they can get. The only laws they are concerned about are the ones they didn’t make that do not favor them. And none of our politicians follow the Constitution they keep yammering about. All they want is the money and the power.

My Unkind Thoughts

As I watch the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan, I had
an unkind thought and let my imagination run. Albert Einstein
once said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” I have been watching these last few months at what the Republican politicians, wealthy greedy power hungry corporations, along with many in our judicial system, ‘the ones whom are over educated idiots with no commonsense’ trying to destroy our country from within, by elimination all the poor and middle class working people to make them subjects in lieu of citizens with equal rights. None of the ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ for them its, ‘you will do what we tell you to do and change the laws of the land to make sure you do.’
My thought was: I wish all the Republican politicians and the people from whom they follow and take orders from, since they were bought and paid for were in the middle of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and should they have survived I wonder if any of them would have escaped and returned with a different outlook on life and other people. Would they be kinder more considerate and compassionate? Would they consider other peoples lot in life? Would they try to help people less fortunate than they had been in the past, help to build them and our country up in lieu of tear down and destroy a way of life that had taken centuries to build for their own personal gain? I have watched these people the majority who claim to be Christians, but really aren’t and as I thought I realized, no nothing would change them, they are to far gone to the point of no return to be decent human beings and should not be allowed to live on this earth. And in the long run want be able too, as the good Book tells us the, “Meek shall inherit the earth.”

Government that cheats

So you guys are thinking about cutting Social Security, are
you? We have already had too much stolen from us, and all you left was an IOU! Do you know how many Social Security recipients there are? Okay, but do you know how many children and grandchildren and like myself grown great grandchildren there are. You will not only have the recipients that can still walk, but the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren descend on you with our weapons of mass destruction. It used to be TAR and FEATHERS or the hangman’s rope.

Back to Social Security; it will be democrats, republicans, independents, and even people that no longer care about voting, and many do not as they are tired of the whole political mess. But when you start messing with our savings that we have contributed to all our working lives, as most never made enough to save a dime then, you guys are going to be in a world of hurt. The government has already screwed up many people. A man that works all his life, his wife had been working also for the government, she quits to raise a family.
Her husband dies, she has three (2) kids still in school, she goes back to work for the government. The kids draw Social Security for two (2) years, she nothing. When she retires of course she draws a small government pension and has medical insurance coverage. When she applies for her husbands Social Security, which would be more than her government pension, they say sorry honey, no can do. They keep the whole damn thing, except what the kids got for a couple of years while they were in school. She can draw Medicare, but has to pay threw the nose. Between medical insurance coverage from the government and Medicare, she can handle her medical problems, but each has a co-pay. But she was cheated out of her husbands Social Security, which he had paid for. Why can’t she be able to draw both her husbands Social Security and her government pension, which both had been worked for and paid into? Someone figured out, hey we can’t allow this person to have both we’ll just keep the Social Security for ourselves? Whoever, figured out how to cheat people out of their just dues ought to be hung up by their balls and if it was a woman, hang her up by both of her boobs!

Many men who stayed in the service 20 or more years were promised their pension, medical care and commissary privileges. Many who could work and wanted too to make ends meet, did just that and worked another 20 years, paid
Social Security and Medicare. When they got old enough to draw these things, some decided, hey they can’t have both, so we’ll halve each one. Cheating again. Most retired military had to live close enough to a military base to go to military doctors and the commissary, if not drive more than 100 miles for these privileges. The same thing happens to Teachers, they get a pension, but many had to go back to work at another profession to make ends meet, they work for years and pay Social Security, then aren’t allowed to draw that and their pension. The people who run out government are a bunch of crooks who cheat their own citizens, but never cheat their own comrades!

Procreation

In regard to men ruling a woman’s life and body:
Let’s take a look at this process. To bring into being, the male of the species is the main factor and the female is secondary recipient. At the time of joining for this little party, ninety-nine percent of the participants aren’t thinking or considering producing another human being, but it happens and when it does happen I have found out in my many years, that unless a couple have been trying for years to conceive, neither one is joyful about this unintended pregnancy. It interferes with their lifestyle. They blame each other, but the man always blames the woman. In talking to many women in sixty years, that is a fact of life. Some men try to pretend it isn’t their child even though they were married. The wife left and went home to her parents. After the child was born she had to force him to come to the hospital and be checked out. She divorced him anyway and he had to pay child support. Good on the courts even though most are dominated by the male judiciary.

If a couple produced a male child, his men friends, patted him on the back with a “way to go fellow” like that proved him to be the big man on the block. Now who actually did all the work –nine months of throwing up, gaining weight and miserable labor pains? The secondary recipient! Guess who gets to take care of this little bundle of joy until he is about sixteen years old? Old number two!

And men want to tell women what they can do with their body! Men enjoy the fun part, life goes on then they get older, the older body doesn’t function like it did when he was young. He blames it on the female, because she has gotten older, so he goes chasing after a younger woman. When he catches one, his body still doesn’t function like he wants it too. Guess what? The male scientist of the world (some that have gotten older also), came up with a new drug Viagra, now several of them, that make him think he is young again and fancy new surgeries that he thinks makes it permanent. Nothing like, an old fool.

Now back to the main factor. He knows that he can impregnate the female, and only he. He uses her for his pleasure, as it does not always work out to be a fun thing for the female, as most of the time he can’t wait to finish what he started and she is left with ‘duh’ what happened. Yep, they both should have used precautions if they were just playing around. Now if we want to make laws, let’s make one that states: If the main factor, a male at this party impregnates a female without her permission, by law he is to be castrated and he must pay for an abortion for her. Be they married or single. It would give them something to think about, losing their toy of a lifetime!

Most, men whether they are married or single only want to play, not be responsible. If women participate in the same fashion, then the good old medical procedure to tie both their tubes should be available. For the male it can be done in the doctors office, I have wiped the sweat off of many a man’s brow while he was having the procedure done. Most women have theirs done in a hospital or clinic. It is a little more complicated. Many women have theirs done after delivery of a child, or the second child. Women that know they do not want children, it should be readily available.

If a female, no matter the age is coerced or forced in any manner into sexual activity and becomes pregnant, the state in which she lives, should have to pay for an abortion, immediately. The male should be castrated and imprisoned. If a male takes advantage of a mentally deficient female and impregnates her. He should be castrated and imprisoned. She should be given an abortion and paid for by the state in which she lives.

Now lets go to our abusive legal system about who makes the laws: No male should make any law pertaining to a females personal private body rights in regard to her having an abortion or not having an abortion. It should be her choice if she is mentally capable. I have seen some in the sad circumstance that they weren’t mentally capable to do this. It was heart-breaking, after being told what was wrong with her and what needed to be done, she said, ‘I can have a little baby of my own to play with’. In the past so many things like this have happened and the parents did not realize the child was pregnant and it was too late for an abortion. I often wonder if all these cases were followed up on. Case histories are interesting. Children have been fathered by; fathers, uncles, grandfathers, brothers, cousins and friends of a family. Guess what all males!

It happens in what one calls the best of families ----Doctors, lawyers, teachers, preachers, etc., not all ignorant people from the backwoods. Now if the laws I wished could be passed, would be passed and in a frame in front of every male and the laws carried out, no if, ands or buts or this crap of proof of evidence. There are 94 different types of evidence that can be thrown around in a courtroom and all that is needed is one Judge with common sense who might have raised daughters.

It should be taught in school and churches what will happen to males if they commit this crime against a female. I am going a little further. Two-percent of the women in our country are not nice people. Had a General friend in the military. He had a circumstance, which really upset him. A young man under his command came in to talk to him. His problem, his mother was pregnant. When he asked about the father, the young man told him he was. He had had a few drinks as he was so upset and told his wife and I about it. After a bit he came back in the room and asked us to please forget about it and not mention it again. I haven’t until now. They both have expired. I often wonder what advice he gave the young man. I do remember him saying it was the biggest shock he had had in going through two wars. Things like this leave you wondering what happened in the long run.

PRIVATIZATION

I love to get the truth about all the things going on in our
country. There are several journalists that one can depend on to give us the truth. Ed Wallace of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and Stephen Dick of the Herald Bulletin in Anderson, Indiana.

Wallace wrote; Myth Sold as Truth: Privatization. In the new progressive language, ‘privatization’ is code for ‘profitization’—and the public gets none of the profits. We just pay more to use assets our taxes paid to build.
The public is deluged with Big Myths that it’s almost impossible to deal with all of them - much less disprove the untruths they’re built one. That’s probably the idea. These Big Myth premises, successfully foisted onto a gullible public incapable of critical thinking, serve only to enlarge the wealth of those spreading disinformation.

Privatization of publicly owned assets, sold to us wrapped in the shiny myth that “private companies can always do the job better than inefficient governments” is one of the most effective sales jobs. It is quickly altering the lives and draining the pocketbooks of all Americans. First maybe it’s true that private industry is more efficient at some thins than government if. But it is equally true that these companies are not buying public assets for anything as altruistic as lowering the costs of using these assets for the public good. They have little incentive to provide more efficient services; the reason they buy the assets that we all paid for is a simple investment/profit motive. Once the new owners control the asset, there only mission statement reads, “to maximize investors’ return on their investment.”

Your Taxes at Work-In India: This really struck home a week ago. ABC News did a story about Florida’s privatizing its food stamp operations to J.P. Morgan – which in turn contracted a call center in India to process the claims. Imagine that. Florida gives taxpayers’ money to J.P. Morgan, which to make a greater profit uses that money to hire people in India, putting Floridians out of a job. Then out-of-work Floridians have to call India to get approved for food stamps. Now that is ironic.

The best place to see how privatization really affects average Americans may be in Chicago. Like many cities, Chicago has had a hard time living within its budgetary means, even while collecting one of America’s highest city sales taxes: 10.25 percent. So two years ago Chicago decided to sell the city’s parking meters. According to Associated Content, William Blair is a close associate of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley. Selling off the city’s 36,000 parking meters to a private investment group was his idea, but Blair also was instrumental in getting Daley to sell off the city-owned downtown parking garages back in 2006. And for his clever suggestions for taking revenue-producing, publicly owned assets and privatizing them (and for being a member of Daley’s Kitchen Cabinet), Blair has received payments totaling $6.5 million.

Analysis After the Sale; Morgan Stanley eventually took majority ownership of the city’s parking meters for 75 years, in exchange for a one-time payment to Chicago of just under $1.2 billion. According to Chicago Sun Times political columnist Carol Marin, almost imme-diately the cost of using a parking meter inside the Loop jumped to 28 quarters ($7) for a two-hour period. But quickly increasing the cost of parking wasn’t the only pain inflicted by the new owners. Many parking meters couldn’t handle that much loose change in one day, and once full the meters would accept no more change; anyone who parked by one was doing so illegally. Yes, the number of parking tickets jumped so much they had to stop writing them while new meters that would accept credit cards were installed. Even more interesting is that
LAZ Parking – also owned by Morgan Stanley – was responsible for collecting the coins out of the meters and issuing the parking tickets,

The meters were set to demand payment 24 hour a day and seven days a week, ending the free parking that enticed many families to downtown Chicago on Sundays. Chicago’s Inspector General analyzed the deal only after it was done; and on June 1, 2009, his report on the sale said officially that Chicago had gotten the short end of the stick. The report faulted William Blair’s calculations of the 36,000 parking meters’ present and future value: They were worth not a mere $1.2 billion, but more in the neighborhood of $2 billion. Seems Blair wrote the entire report from the investors’ perspective, not from that of the real owners, the people of Chicago. The Inspector General concluded that the entire deal was “dubious.” It should be noted that Daley’s friend Blair wasn’t the only one who profited by suggesting and promoting this deal. The Mayor’s former spokes-woman, Avis Lavelle, emerged from it with a new job – spokeswoman for Morgan Stanley’s parking meter entity. By November the New York Times has shown the deal to numerous financial experts, who unanimously said, “Chicago could have made out much better in the long run had it kept the meters.” Here’s the next effect of that sale. Parking meter rates have quadrupled, and that was just in the first year after the sale went through. The lease still has 74 years to run. Chicago drivers are (and their great-grandkids will be) paying through the nose for the sins of those voters elected to govern the city’s finances wisely. (Frankly between, you, me and the gatepost I think Chicago needs too hire some good honest lawyers, if they can be found to protect the citizens of Chicago. ERC)

You Texans remember the Trans-Texas Corridor that Perry tried to push onto all of us. The people of Indiana had already been conned into selling their major toll road to the Cintra/Macquarie Group and it was privatized. Here is Wallace’s report on that: “A combination of toll increases have marked the Toll Road’s first three and a half years under private operation.” That comment came out of a column published a year ago, reminding readers that tolls would increase by another 8.2 percent last summer. The rationale? The recession lowered the number of drivers using the toll road, so keeping profits constant meant everyone still using it had to pay more.

And when summer came, it brought another surprise for the users of the Indiana Toll Road: A lawsuit against its new owner, ITR Concession, brought by a woman whose accident she blamed on their highway’s poorly maintained condition. The merits of her lawsuit notwithstanding, it’s interesting that ITR Concession tried to get the lawsuit thrown out under the legal concept of government immunity from legal actions. Really. A private, for-profit company buys up a publicly owned highway and then wants the same protection against lawsuits that government enjoys.

My two-cents worth: If all cities, counties and states are making deals like this, no wonder we have so much un-employment. Florida’s food stamp operation: Outsourcing captive consumers calls to India, Chicago changing parking meters to credit cards, so none one is paid to take the money out of the meters. Policemen not needed to issue parking tickets, as the new owner had its on crew. Indiana not keeping up the toll road repairs so that they are safe, therefore not having to pay as many employees. Good old AT&T, their customer service is outsourced: I always get someone in the Philippines that I can’t understand. I pay them in the United States and I want to talk to someone in the US, when I ask them to transfer my call to the US, they say they can’t, how odd.

Principles vs. Profiteering:

When Charlie Wilson left his job as head of General Motors in the early 50’s to become our Secretary of Defense in the Eisenhower Cabinet, he had to divest of his stock in GM over conflict of interest rules. It cost Wilson over a million dollars in tax liabilities to accept the President’s offer. But Wilson, like so many other wealthy Americans in those days doing public service after a long and successful business career, paid the price willingly.

Wilson said that America had been so good to him that giving back to the country that gave him everything was the right thing to do, including service to the country as a public servant. The long and impressive list of car men in this country who did the same thing for the betterment of America includes men like Big Bill Knudsen. He too lost millions when he left GM to run our weapons procurement during World War II.

Yet, in the early 70’s - just two decades after Charlie Wilson forfeited millions to do public service at the end of his career – the system changed and no one noticed. Suddenly everyone was doing their so-called public service early in their careers, then jumping ship to private industry and making the big bucks because they were “government connected.” For example, look at the political career of Donald Rumsfeld in the 70’s. After he left government he made a fortune in private industry because of his political connections, then returned to Washington. Open Secrets put his 2004 net worth at between $64 and $210 million. Being White House Chief of Staff in the Ford Administration just didn’t pay that kind of money.

Government as a Business Piggybank:

So, if you wonder why we pay so much for electricity, or why so many toll roads are now being built, or why no one in authority can put sanity back into the commodities markets – leaving us to pay far more for food and energy than market conditions justify – it’s not just the Democrats’ or the Republicans’ fault. And it’s not because we don’t pay enough in taxes to offset our deficits. It is because the political system now is geared toward insiders’ using their influence to take over government’s duties and responsibilities (parking meters, highways or even basic legislation) for their own clients financial gain.

The reason so many publicly owned assets are being sold is not that private industry is more efficient than government. It’s because repeating that Big Myth is a sure fire way to get the public to sign off on deals that any intelligent person can see don’t serve citizens’ long-term economic interest. In fact, typically it only takes months for the taxpayer to realize just how costly these deals will be. Then again, we’re a long way from the days of Ike and businessmen who felt it was their duty to serve our country they loved so much. (Ed Wallace)

As I have said before, I love reading when someone tells the real truth about the down and dirty way politicians behave in our world today. Honor was lost somewhere along the way. They have all sold out for money. I wonder if they think they can take it with them on the last ride out into the hereafter.

My friend in Washington sent me an answer to my questions about our
Social Security. Our new congress wants to cut Social Security, pretending it adds to the deficit of our country. There is a deficit all right, to our Social Security. His answer:
“The government still owes the money to the Social Security Trust Fund and is still borrowing more. The Fund currently has a surplus of $2.6 trillion and virtually all that has been borrowed by the Treasury and spent on government functions. The trustees estimate that the fund surplus will grow to $4.3 trillion in the next ten years. That money will undoubtedly be borrowed too. If the Congress and President decide not to pay it back, that would mean the government is defaulting on its most important creditor—American working people. I don’t think they will do that. So they are trying to cut benefits instead.” By the way, did any of you give the government permission to use your Social Security Fund for, their own little slush fund? I didn’t nor did they ask. Actually it is called stealing in our ordinary world of working people. It is a designated fund, not for use in the general fund.

What a bunch of lying conniving con men. Our good old republican politicians keep slinging the propaganda around that Obama and we that draw our ‘entitlement’s that we paid in to are the cause of our total deficit of $14 plus trillion. I know who caused the damn deficit and most of you who are honest do also.

This came from a Republican representative that has been there a long time. Unless you knew as you watched him work for the people, you would not know which party he belonged to he just works for the good of the people. He will be 80 years old March 18 (and ladies he is single). “Members of Congress and other federal employees are covered by the Federal Employees Retirement System, which comprises Social Security payments, a monthly pension based on tenure and pay history, and the Thrift Savings Plan, which is similar to private 402(k) accounts. Members were able to decline to participate in the program until 2003, according to CRS, when Congress prohibited lawmaker’s from opting out. The Members refer to Congress as their “employer,” not we the TAXPAYER. Members each contribute funds to the pension. The Members contribute 1.3 percent of their salaries to the pension program and their EMPLOYER will pay another 17.9 percent of salary costs. Members also pay another 6.2 percent of their earnings to Social Security. Another little goody: Members may contribute up to $16,500 in pre-tax dollars to their TSP accounts in 2011, and they may receive up to 5 percent in matching funds from their EMPLOYER the good old TAXPAYER. Each Member receives 1 percent in matching contributions from CONGRESS/EMPLOYER/TAXPAYER, regardless of whether they contribute.

By the way my friend opted out years ago, but did say too bad, as when he leaves he doesn’t get the great healthcare benefits, but will draw SS and Medicare. But felt the taxpayers are paying his salary and he didn’t think they needed to contribute to the pension. Wonder if the Treasury drew any money from the Members SS Trust Fund? The Congressional pension program is rarely mentioned on Capitol Hill. Lawmakers voted against an automatic, pay raise in the current fiscal year and the House voted last month to cut its office budget 5 percent—how magnanimous of them! “Along with the franking privilege, pensions represent a valuable perk to both political parties that lawmakers don’t want to touch.”

REPEAL, REPEAL, REPEAL:

The new Republican Regime is going to repeal all things put to into law by Barack Obama, so they can cut down the deficit are they! Many of the states are heading into that direction.
I understand that takes going to court, which takes lawyers and since I know about them, they don’t take ‘thanks’ they only take cash or a big cushy job in Washington or with some big bank, insurance company, drug company or some big war machine manufacturing plant. If you guys plan on paying with taxpayer dollars, you better all get bodyguards as I note some of them are planning on doing. It won’t be someone with a mental problem after you, it will be a bunch of madder than hell citizens. Of course all of you are such a bunch of crafty dudes, you’ll probably add the cost onto some of that pork barrel financing to help your state for some big project, as I note many of the ones wanting to repeal do and the funds will be passed on to the law firms involved in the repealing process.

As I noted a congressman in New York saying he was getting a bodyguard. If all of you plan on getting bodyguards to protect you when you go into ‘harms way’ you sure better pay for it out of your own pocket. Now if you expect the taxpayers to pay, first we need to get body-guards for every soldier sent into ‘harms way’ fighting for all our freedom, as you all claim they do. Frankly they are more important than politicians. Protecting the soldiers I will agree on. Or better yet, let’s bring our servicemen home and they can apply for the jobs of being bodyguards for the politicians to protect them from mad American citizens!

That will bring the deficit down; quit paying for wars in foreign lands. We can quit building war machines, that make a few people rich and some people in jobs. Turn those plants in another kind of manufacturing plant, and our people can work in them. I remember when American Motors in Detroit, also made other things, they had the Kelvinator division which made refrigerators. We have wasted trillions of dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan, been cheated out of the same amount by American companies on contracted jobs to be done for OUR BENEFIT!! Killed many of our servicemen and many more of their civilian population. And have not accomplished a damn thing, other than those people hate our country more than ever.

Just pay the people for a fair price for their oil and what else you want from these countries. Try to be friends with these people, in lieu of bribing or trying to steal or beat the people out of their assets. But again that’s all politicians know is bribery, it is a common pastime. Sort of like sex before radio and television, it was a national pastime that’s why people had so many kids. For some people it is still a national pastime, some religions demand it, as they will get more parishioners in the future. The Bible said replenish thy self, which should mean two children, one of each of you.
Things are always about what will we or I get out of it, not what is good for human beings all over the world. Power hungry leaders and religions have caused all the wars and bloodshed since time began. Don’t we citizens of the world think it is time to stop? I do.

THE GREAT ONES - THEY THINK THEY ARE:

Wouldn’t it be nice to think and believe that everything we say and do is right and everyone else is wrong, like the Republican Party; I have news for them, I have watched them for over 50 years and they did nothing for the majority of the citizens, only for the wealthy and the large corporation’s. That is why the country is in the condition it is in now. Not just all republicans, some of the democrats went along with them in order to get their share of the goodies. I look at some of the republicans that were once democrats and switched parties to hang onto the coattails of the rich and famous and keep their jobs as professional politicians. What a terrible shame to our country.

As I said before, November 2, 2010, was an auction not an election, and now the fight will start. The republicans, on the state level and the federal level with all their intended lawsuits to repeal bills passed under the Obama Administration and intention to investigate the administration as being corrupt is an abusive use of the legal system for improper ends. Who is going to pay these legal fees, the politicians out of their pockets? I hope to hell they don’t expect the taxpayers to pay them!

The Obama Administration could have done the same thing about the Bush Administration as many of us wanted them to do, but he felt in lieu of wasting time and money doing that, he had better things to do to help the citizens of this country that had been damaged by the last administration. He did and could have done more, but the DO NOTHING REPUBLICANS, held up the majority of bills passed by the house, by putting holds on them!
All the politicians involved in the downfall of our country did not want the last administration investigated! Now we have a bunch of new smart alecks who think they know how to run things and take care of the debt and not spend any money. Big laugh! The old ones that had been griping about the debt, you notice how they started saving, by holding the congress hostage on passing the bills pending until they got the Bush tax cuts for the two percent of the nations wealthiest. That added billions to the debt, maybe they do not know what CONSERVATIVE means, but they keep saying they are. Citizens in 2012, we really need to clean house of all the professional politicians, both state and federal.

As I read the Bible and our history I wonder why things couldn’t
have been different, for our good instead of our downfall.
Why are we as a people so lacking in the finer instincts of a human being, kindness, consideration, love of one another? Who taught people to hate? Was it the Pharisees – a different Jewish sect, I understand they were sanctimonious, self-righteous and hypo-critical? Why did God create them or did he? If it was the Pharisees, then we still have to many of them left in our world and I think they are all politicians, of course they had lots of them back in the biblical days, something we could have done without.

There are so many things that I have read from the beginning in the Bible that I find hard to understand why they happened. I have had my elders say, ‘you aren’t supposed to understand all things.’ I don’t think that is true, I think God meant for us to understand what he said. But what about all the other things in there, that I feel he didn’t inspire to be written and to be done, who did that?

Did God make a mistake in creating the human being, which I feel he would have wanted them to be perfect or near perfect and none of us are? Even from the beginning – Adam and Eve and their children – that was fouled up. The first time out doing something; that happens to all of us, but not to God! We are taught that all he does and creates is perfect. As things went wrong down through history with all his infinite powers, why did he not stop the annihilation of all he had created and start over?

This takes me to further down the road to when various different religions came into being. Instead of really following God’s rules, they made up their own. Religion: A system of faith and worship involving belief in a supreme being and containing a moral or ethical code;
such a system practiced by a particular church, sect or
denomination. But that is not exactly what happened. Frankly
they didn’t really have a moral or ethical code. They were
terrible groups. One that we have a lot of history on was the
Catholic Church. I cannot believe they were ever able to
flourish after their treatment of people in the beginning. Often
wondered how and have never been able to understand why
people would live their lives under the rules they set forth, it is as though they have to abide by the rules set down by the church and the Pope that is in charge, not God.

In studying and searching many different religions to find answers to things I did not understand, I ran onto a 700 year old doctrine, called Mental Reservation. It is a doctrine where clerics can avoid telling the truth, to protect the Catholic Church. Not sanctioned under canon law, experts say, and infrequently invoked, sort of misused to justify lying. Evidently it is now sanctioned under canon law, as it is in the law dictionary as, ‘Mental Reservation; One party’s silent understanding or exception to the meaning of a contractual provision.’ Sounds to me like even our law is set up for the same type of action the church has. ‘Silent understanding’ seems like one party knows the contract is not exactly on the up and up, but keep your mouth shut and lie about it.

Didn’t realize the church used it so much until the last few years
when all the bad priests were finally caught or maybe not. The
church knew but used the good old mental reservation. Sort of
like churches are not supposed to be involved in government,
so that they want have to pay income tax. But they all have lobbyist in Washington, but are still not paying income tax

AMERICA IS A GREAT COUNTRY, BUT:

We have become a land of destroyers and thieves. People came
to this country from other countries. They tried to destroy the
inhabitants that were already here, but didn’t quite make it. They took over the land by force when necessary, killed whom ever got in their way, with the help of government and any military that existed at that time. But then couldn’t maintain the land without help. Human slave traders came in handy, brought people from Africa and sold them to the big property owners to do their work, while most sat on their rear ends and reaped the rewards from the work of the slaves. They in turn also sold and traded any slaves that they had bought and any children born to them. The slaves kept the economy of the south going but had their own lives and identities stolen. I have heard stupid people saying, ‘we did them a favor’. I have never in all my years on this earth figured out what that favor was!

Our bunch of hypocrites in this country; talk about how other nations treat their citizens and we do the same thing. Does anyone remember the world history, the ruling class in Europe with everything and all the citizens with nothing? Check out the United States – history has repeated itself, a small amount of the very rich – the rest with nothing. Revolution and wars came to Europe; it is time for a revolution in the United States. I am tired of the lousy politicians and the wealthy running our country like the monarchs did in Europe, and still do too some extent. Their ancestors, like many of ours were a sorry bunch of human beings. Do people really not know the world history?

Now is the time for the citizens of this country to really understand the quote by Jefferson Davis: “Governments rest on the consent of the governed, and this it is the right of the people to alter or abolish them at will whenever they become destructive of the ends for which they were established.”
As each day goes by it gets worse. All they have ever done is take advantage and abuse their power over the majority of we the people until we have become a threatened-species of human beings with no place to turn except revolution. The majority of the politicians are not worth the powder it takes to blow the to HELL!

NOW IS THE TIME

The greatest enemy that a country and its people have is its
Government and its leaders. It is a sad, sad affair, when one outlives the truth in his lifetime. Both of these statements were made by my husband Don Connaway on March 20, 1994, he died July 8, 1997. Many discussions we had about the affairs of the world were interesting. Being an attorney he knew about the truth, and made the statement that he had outlived the truth. Frankly we all have.

A quote by Jefferson Davis: Governments rest on the consent of the governed, and that it is the right of the people to alter or abolish them at will whenever they become destructive of the ends for which they were established.

I believe now is the time. With all the leaks coming out about things being done and said behind the backs of we the people, that we knew nothing about, let them all come out. If they were supposed to be working on behalf of we the people, nothing should have been said except the absolute truth that could have been seen and heard in the light of day. Nothing should be hid or classified. Everything done on behalf of the American people should be done in total honesty. If Wikileaks has been able to tape information that applies to the citizens of the United States and other countries, we need to hear and see all of it, then put a stop to this kind of behavior and actions once and for all.

I don’t know why the officials and politicians are raising such hell, as we have been doing this forever. J. Edgar Hoover of the FBI taped and spied on everyone and used all information he gathered in the most disgusting manner, and the FBI still does. The CIA is another sorry group that does the same thing all over the world. George W. Bush and AT&T had a great taping sessions
going of telephone calls. All of government officials and politicians
are a bunch of conniving lying individuals trying to out do each
other anyway they can to gain power, not only of the United States,
but all around the world and have forever, but it is still not right.
It is like common gossip, it eventually leaks out. It finally shows the
deception in all governments.
The young soldier Manning that did some taping and boy right in the brig he went! Why? We have been doing the same thing forever. In fact if I had of d the tools, I have seen lots of stuff, I would have liked to tape. Once as I listened to the Insurance Commissioner of Texas mouth off after he had a load of booze over dinner. Now they are after Julian Assange, to try to stop him from showing everyone faults, along with the banks and some corporations that have been doing the wrong things. Rape in Sweden! Which has already been proved untrue. Shows you what governments will do, when they have been in the wrong. Arrest them and put them in jail. Bush put a lot of people in jail with no proof. If they aren’t going to be honest and ethical in dealing with the world, don’t be doing it in the name of the American people.

Sports

Sports:

In my winter of discontent I nearly lose my eternal optimism, that
things will get better for all the people that need help in our world for various reasons. Maybe it’s just me, but when I see so much attention given to sports in our newspaper and television with all the money involved with less and less attention given to academics with less and less money involved I get upset.
Adult sized men playing a child’s game, with owners of the teams becoming immensely wealthy and various cities allowing them to do whatever they want in these cities. The government and politicians paying; homage to the teams and the owners; as if they had done something really great and worthwhile. It is wonderful for children to be involved in sports, but not to the extent that it has become.
Sports does not make a school great, academics does. People, parents, friends and neighbors pay more attention to your children and their schoolwork than you do to which school has the best team. All children like to play sports, some are better at it than others, but it has gotten to the point that if you aren’t the best player, so that your team will win, no matter how you play the game you do not get to play, but they expect them to go watch and support the other players, even though they tell you, you aren’t good enough to play. Support the team above all else! How about we just support the English Club, the French Club, the Science Club, the History Club, the Math Club, the Music Club, the Biology Club, anything to do with learning in lieu of playing a game where many get broken bones, teeth knocked out, skulls fractured, some injured for life. There are sports that are less dangerous than team sports chasing a ball and knocking each other around. Tennis, a one on one or a doubles team, a swim team, they are less likely to get hurt and they are sports one can play even into their old age, but academics should be at the top of all children’s
criteria, and that of their parents not sports.

I didn’t forget golf, which I have found to be a useless sport.
Exercise, maybe but there are other ways than out knocking a ball
around with a stick, pardon me, a club, but many found a way to
make a moneymaking thing out of that. Again, it is a game of luck
you don’t always stay on top, next go around someone else wins.

Don’t waste your time and money on professional sports, none of the money they pay those players will rub off on you, nor will any the owners make off you, your tickets and junk you buy from advertising, plus the food they sell at an awful price. Unless you are a gambler and bet on the games, at times they also lose.
Something I learned over the years. Sports is a game of LUCK, when both teams are good, the outcome is strictly luck. No matter how much the players and the coach are paid, it will not change the outcome of the game. No matter how much your, team is touted as being the best in newspapers or television, does not make it so, that’s why one team doesn’t remain on top year after year. You win some you lose some, that’s how it should be. Everything about sports has become a moneymaking entity with a lot of bad sportsmanship involved, from grade school through college to professional sports.

It is not like a game of sports, where both teams are good, but the outcome is strictly luck. No matter how much the players are paid it will not change the outcome of the game. As I have watched daily the game of our political campaigns. It is a matter of whom the most convincing liars with the most money and an insatiable hunger and greed for power that might win this auction of our government.

The amount of money and time spent in this campaign is enough to make a decent person sick to their stomach. This campaign started when Barack Obama was elected President. Instead of working for the citizens of this country, the Republicans and some Democrats sat on their hands and their royal rear ends and did nothing but fight against everything he has tried to do. They weren’t interested in our country and the damnable mess it was in, they were interested only in satisfying the whims of their wealthy friends and the large corporations and holding onto their status quo in the congress.

They enlisted all the old rabble-rousers, the people that stirs up the passions and prejudices of the public for his or her own interests, a demagogue (person or political leader, who gains power by arousing people’s emotions and prejudices). Many of these were old men that were not reelected in the past years, but had become so addicted to the power of politics that they couldn’t give it up and go home and just really do some good for their communities, no such luck, they had to have that spotlight back on them again. Most of the one’s I watched didn’t do anything worth a damn all the years they were in congress. We had a bunch and still do in congress that, aren’t worth the powder it would take to blow
them to hell. Want their names?

A bunch of lily-livered pasty faced old men, (except one who plays
golf a lot or uses the tanning bed) that have done nothing but get
into politics and live off the land, not farming or anything worthwhile,
but live off the taxpayer’s, sort of federal welfare, but they sure hate
it when people who have been disenfranchised really need welfare. We also have a new breed of women that have become a disgusting sight to behold. They just like the limelight, also, not to help our country, just to do a bunch of mouthing and half the time don’t know what they are talking about, maybe to hear the sound of their voice or their heads roar or see themselves on television and in papers or just to hear their names mentioned. To many people they were convincing liars and were paid well too.

Well the Auction is over and the GOP won part of the House, but not all the Senate, as they wanted. Got some new GOP Governors too.Nothing will get done for the next two years, as they will start now, today November 3rd, campaigning for the 2012 election, to try and make sure President Obama is a, one-term president. The only time they will spend working is trying to undo everything that has been done this last, nearly two years. The GOP Governors will be spending taxpayer money trying to repeal healthcare and the finance reform bills. So we will see how they fare in 2012, as again they will be the party of NO for the majority of the citizens of this country, the ones with no money to give them.

Our War Machine Builders:

Hey, some of you smart people, tell me how our big war
machine builders make their money? Who pays them to make
all of the war machines for the United States? Who gives them the big contracts to build them for us? Our government with our money! At who’s request? Our big warmongers in our government that want to help their wealthy corporate friends! Then what do we do with them? We send all this equipment overseas to be used to fight a war against people that never attacked us, like Iraq and Afghanistan. It is blown up along with our soldier’s and the citizen’s of those countries. They aren’t protecting us; they are filling the pockets of all the big conglomerates all over this country and overseas in every imaginable way. We have drained our Treasury and broke this country on the whims of a bunch of corrupt, greedy and power hungry American men. There was not an Iraqi or an Afghanistan in the bunch that ‘supposedly’ came here on 9/11. Every country has a militaristic criminal element.

They were all from Saudi Arabia. Osama Bin Laden is from Saudi Arabia. In fact all of his family is still there doing business with the United States through the Carlyle Group with Bushes and friends. He might have gotten on the wrong side of some one in Saudi Arabia and had to leave town for a while, but he still gets his money from there. Isn’t it strange that the countries that want do business with the US, like Saddam in Iraq and Afghanistan (some factions), get blown to smithereens, plus what we tried to do to Iran (Iran-contra) and the Kurds at one time. Go back and note the other little countries that didn’t want to be ruled by the US that got the shaft over these many years. Strange isn’t it that our big capitalist get along so well with the Saudi Arabia and their leaders are some of the sorriest people in the world. But we go right over and brown nose whenever they holler.

Now our big war machine builders are going to sell them $60 billion of war machines. We of course will send someone right over to teach them how to use all these goodies, or have them send their soldiers over here to be trained. We have done this with all other nations. Not only will the other nations in that part of the country not be safe as they do not like the Saudi’s nor do the Saudi’s like them. It was especially true of Saddam Hussein. None of the different nations like each other, about the only thing any of them have in common is their religion and many of them have a lot of different rules. Reminds me of our country and our politicians. Between our religions, politics and avarice we have ruined our once great country.

When Saudi starts to take over in that part of the world, we will be up a creek without a paddle. We will have been used up already by, the capitalist all over the world.

Let The World Stand Still

On this eventful day, let’s hope that the world will stand still for a time and hope that all the people in the world will reflect on our past and think about the future. What we want for our individual, selves that, is best for us, and our families, each and every one of us throughout the world. Hope for peace and prosperity, without the avarice that so many people are consumed with.

Stop the hate and wars. The same Creator made this world for us to live in peace and love one another. Remember your religion and your love of your God is between you and him, no one else. There is no go between when its time for you to meet your maker. It is a walk you have to do alone. Don’t let wrong minded people ruin your life. Live your life, as you know your God would want you too. Do unto others, as you would have others do unto you, is a good way to pass through our time in this world. Each one of us who do not follow this rule, are the ones who lose in the end.

So many people have allowed hate, bigotry, prejudice and greed to corrupt themselves and everyone and everything that they touch. Surely they can dig deep down inside and find some truth, kindness and integrity in their soul. Let us hope so.

Marsha J. Evans, President and CEO of the American Red Cross…salary ending June 30, 2003, $651,000, $957,000 plus expenses. Probably a lot more now. I quit giving to them during world war 11, when an enlisted man was shipped overseas and his wife with one small child and pregnant with another, needed to go back to their hometown and asked for money for a bus ticket and they refused her. (My husband and I didn’t)

Brian Gallagher, President of the United Way receives a $375,000 base salary, plus numerous expense benefits. (I quit giving to them in 1968, which is a long story also)

UNICEF CEO receives $1,200,000 per year plus all expenses and a ROLLS ROYCE where ever he goes and only cents of your dollar goes to the cause. (And, they use little children to collect for them on Halloween)

The Salvation Army’s Commissioner Todd Bassett receives a salary of only $13,000 per year (plus housing) for managing this $2 billion dollar organization. That is the one to give to. Over the years I have given directly to people that I know are in need or organizations that are small and I know individuals involved and are for needy and handicapped children.
Like some Religions it seems Charities are a great business to be in!!!!!

2010 Revolution

We the poor and middle class had a revolution in 2008. Now is
the time for the revolution of 2010. We have two more years to finish what we voted for. We have achieved some of the things we wanted but not all, but more than we did under any republican regime and we know what else needs to be done. Many are frustrated by the pace of our progress we have accomplished some of our goals, with no help from the republicans and some of the democrats. We knew that it would not be easy. We citizens have become so accustomed to everything being done by a push of a button and getting everything done in a hurry. We didn’t walk into a nice office with everything in place and just start to work. It was a hellhole of corruption and unimaginable problems. Frankly the Republican Party and big corporations liked it that way and did not want a change. They do not want 75% of the citizens of this country involved in our government. Very special interests have stood in the way of change at every turn and want their conservative allies in control of Congress. And they are doing it with the help of billionaires and corporate special interests underwriting shadowy advertising campaign ads. Advertising may be described as the science of arresting human intelligence long enough to get money or in this case VOTES from it.
Of all organizations to become involved in politics, the Chamber of Commerce, ‘An association of merchants and other business leaders who organize to promote the commercial interests in a given area and whose group is generally affiliated with the national organization.’ Yes we have let our voting privileges become a commercial interest. We have money coming from foreign countries that we have outsourced businesses to, by way of the Chamber of Commerce. What do businesses get out of belonging to this organization other than a plaque on their walls, prestige? They pay dues, so that makes them another moneymaking entity. One vote per person is now obsolete! Money can buy anything, except my one vote, what about you? Let’s all stand up and finish what we started with our one vote for each of us. Our country has become overrun with greed, corruption and power. Don’t let this rule us out. One vote from a poor person is supposed to count the same as from a rich person, and there are more of us than there is of them.

The Chiefs VS The Peons

When Ed Wallace writes articles, I Like to quote some of the things he writes, as they are all so true. He had mentioned the view of many of the industrialists worldwide toward their workers. This one in particular, Fiat’s Sergio Marchionne, stated while they were working to try to save Chrysler, to UAW President Ron Gettlefinger, ‘that the workers needed to accept a culture of poverty.’ Finally, someone has captured a statement demonstrating how some executives feel about the peon’s who actually build their products for them: They aren’t entitled to anything better that a serf-like existence in life; and in retirement they are titled to even less.

It was President Bush who made the decision to save the U.S. auto industry, and while that decision seems to be very unpopular with many Americans, and they want to blame Obama. Our same individuals are OK with our spending almost 150 times more than that, to save Iraq and Afghanistan. The major part of the final push to save Detroit started right here in North Texas, simply because President Bush was then and is now friends with so many of our best new car dealers, also in other parts of the country. He sent one as our Ambassador to England from 2005 to 2009. Politics and relationships form part of our government, everyone in bed with someone. Some of the best known and respected dealers, all extremely loyal to the Republican Party and had given generously to the national republican cause without asking anything in return. Until the day they needed to cash in one big chip, only to find out the game had moved.

Steve Rattner came to his position on the president’s auto task force out of Wall Street. Therefore he knew better than anyone what can happen once a financial company fails, as virtually every last bank and investment bank on Wall Street had. That is this: Not only can the government seize the bonuses of the executives and any other officer of the failed bank corporation, but they can also seize those individuals other personal assets – and those of the bank’s board of directors. We now know that no one on Wall Street in a failed firm that we bailed out, to the tune of trillions of dollars, had to surrender any of their assets or bonuses. Not to mention the fact that they turned around and paid themselves nearly record bonuses in 2009, when the economy was still in the dirt. Some actually paid out bonuses to their workers quickly, before their company was force to merge with another.
I have asked why they didn’t or haven’t yet? I have my own opinion, but I hope Ed Wallace can give me the straight answer, as he really keeps up with all the criminal activity in our government. Thanks for all the information Ed, but it really makes me want to dip snuff or have a big drink of scotch.

The same old truth – Not a tired old argument

Mr. Orvis Smith’s letter of September 10 stating ‘Democrats
don’t really represent the working class anymore’. Yes, we still
do, we are the poor and middle class of this country. I like many others have grown old and are no longer working, but many of us who have grown up with the working class of this country have not changed. I was raised during ‘the first depression’ on a farm and I know what the working class of people did to survive. I have worked in the aircraft industry, the medical and the insurance field, enjoyed the work and earned every dime. All my life, I have watched and followed our politics as they changed from good to bad. Believe you me, I know why. Many people are never satisfied with making a good living for them and their family, they want more and will do anything to get it. Even change political parties to try to get to the top. We have politicians from both sides who become the biggest and most convincing liars to win a seat in congress. They did not want the job to work for ‘we the people’, they wanted it to feather their nest, and help the people that took them to ‘the dance’. Avarice will be the downfall of our country. I have never been able to figure out, why doing the best job for the right reason wasn’t sufficient, but for some it wasn’t enough. I have always said, ‘I would rather be me than anyone else, as I know how I feel deep down inside’. Self-satisfaction is a good feeling.

No, this old Granny does not wish to change parties. ‘Wealth is a relative thing, since he who has little and wants less is richer than he who has much and wants more. (C.C. Colton). You can’t take it with you. You never see an armored car following a hearse.

And I am not wrong about the reason for companies being outsourced nor I have not been wrong about whom the big spenders are, and it was not democrats. You need to check your facts, not listen to what you are told by politicians. This is not a trickle down economy and it want rub off on you if you go with the big money guys. Yes, Bush saved the big guys only, after he got us in the trillion dollar debt bracket, but saving the big guys, didn’t help the other 75% of the people. Obama is trying to save them by spending more to help and it was the right thing to do. It is not an overnight job, when the other side of the corrupt house of greed pretends that the poor and middle class do not exist and will not lend a hand unless it is done their way.
I remember Obama say in a very humble way, when he was elected President, ‘I can’t do it alone I will need everyone’s help’. He didn’t get it, but he is still trying. He might not be able to fix the mess we were left with, but at least he is still trying. People can listen and believe all the lies they want about whose fault it was. But I know, as many other people do whose fault our downfall was.

An Illegal immigrant:

One cold, dark January night in 1958, as a frightened 19 year,
He climbed a chain link fence along the border between Mexico
and the United States. The first time he clambered over the fence he was caught and sent back across the border. Just hours later, he was back. This time he made it over and escaped into the night.

An undocumented immigrant, he spoke no English and had no job skills. He labored as a farm worker in California. One day a friend said to him, ‘you will always be a migrant worker,’ something inside of him snapped. He couldn’t accept that. He lived inside a dumped dilapidated trailer, the type that is put on the back of a pickup truck. He took English lessons and enrolled at a community college, while juggling jobs as a painter and a welder.

He won a scholarship to the University of California, Berkeley. From there he went to medical school at Harvard University. He became a citizen! Now, his office walls at John Hopkins are covered in awards. This is a man who wouldn’t take no for an answer. This 42 year-old, one time farm worker, from Mexico, now heads the Brain Tumor Center at the John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore. His name is: Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa, M.D. He is a researcher with a difference. He puts in punishing 16-hour shifts, not just in the operating room but in a brain cancer research lab as well! A real human being with a goal in life to help the suffering of mankind! I, wonder how many boys, men, girls and women have tried to make it across the river, but were turned back time and time again, many incarcerated, and killed, that could have accomplished some great things like this man did. Of course we have had many make it and did lots of good things.

None were probably asked what they wanted to do with their lives, just, ‘you can’t come here cause you ain’t got no papers’! This is our country! No it isn’t it is God’s country, as is the rest of the world. We are all citizens of this world that God gave us. Why are governments and leaders so stupid that they cannot understand that we should all work together for the betterment of humanity instead of trying to rule and separate nations from each other? To bad we can’t rewrite our history from day one. When we let our imagination run away with us and think about how we would have done things differently, we have a lot of interesting thoughts. Which makes me think about the quote from Albert Einstein, “Imagination is more important than knowledge”. In my imagination, I would not have any politicians that were lawyers or ex-military, only teachers.

Being Wrong Sometimes:

Did any of you ever have to change your mind about things you
previously thought was the right thing to do? I have. The other
night I was re-reading the biography on our dear old Founding Fathers, to refresh myself on some things (it had been a long time) since I had looked them over. They had a lot of different beliefs, religious, political ideas about how this country should be run. It took them a long time to make some decisions, change them and change them again, lots of arguments and duels to the death for a couple of them, one disappeared with out a trace and another poisoned, they think. Old Benjamin Franklin evidently didn’t believe in marriage, just fooling around. Several were single maybe they were, Gay. I don’t think all of them got together in a big room and sat down to talk about this big undertaking at one time. Frankly, they gave a finished product, but did not all agree. But it was the best they could do. Of course many of we the people weren’t important and were left out. It is still the same in our Government, only we the people are left out all together and the politicians think we work for them!

As I noted the different political affiliations, I started checking them out, but the one that held my interest, Nationalism: Devotion and loyalty to one’s own nation, patriotism. Excessive patriotism, chauvinism. The desire for national advancement or independence. The doctrine or policy of asserting the interests of a particular nation over the interests of other nations. (All was okay up to the last sentence, which has gotten us into a lot of trouble over the years).

But didn’t understand the chauvinism part. I couldn’t figure what it had to do with politics, as years ago when we women started asserting ourselves, and men objected to a lot of things we wanted too do, we called them all ‘CHAUVINISTIC PIGS’. It really sounded nasty as we spat it out, we didn’t say it to their face. I had never had the occasion nor inclination to look the word up (I do remember being told don’t say it unless you know what it means when I was young) I had not looked it up, and was just repeating what I had heard others say and it really seemed to suffice for the time. So I thought to myself, why was this word in the definition of Nationalism? So I figured at 83 I would just go to Webster’s and see what they had to say about the definition of this big word. (I do remember looking up some of those four letter words that I heard, but they weren’t in there, but are now—Webster’s needs to have it’s mouth washed out with soap).

CHAUVINISM: ZEALOUS AND AGGRESSIVE PATROITISM OR BLIND MILITARY ENTHUSIASM FOR MILITARY GLORY. BIASED DEVOTION TO ANY GROUP, ATTITUDE OR CAUSE. CHAUVINIST- CHAUVINISTIC.

Well in a way it did refer to men, certain men, the gung ho military type. Now I know where the beginning of the Radical Republican party began. (Napoleon had an officer in his army by the name of Chauvin that was really aggressive and patriotic). That one stupid word got me to thinking about being wrong about what you thought something meant, but actually we weren’t really wrong. Those chauvinistic pig guys did have a biased devotion to a group (all men) with an attitude toward women. We had no rights, we couldn’t do things as well as they did, we couldn’t be paid as much for the same job, we were the weaker sex (or so they thought), our thoughts about the work place weren’t important.

Mine did turn out to be, as I was the first woman elected to the Executive Committee with the fellows at my place of employment, I nearly resigned, as they were like boys on the school ground, arguing in lieu of discussing. When they find out you will assume responsibility for the functioning of the office, it really made it nice for them; if they all four wanted to leave town for some big function-‘hey Ev, it’s all yours’. Or when we had to put in a security system! Deciding whom would be on the to call list in case the alarm went off. They were out a lot at night, but me, I was always home at night. Guess who was on the list, me? I, was called, I strapped on my 38 took my dog and headed downtown Dallas in the middle of the night, got there before the police, checked out the three stories and was ready to reset the alarm when the police did arrive).

One thing for sure they never treated me as the weaker sex when I got to put my two-cents worth in and my salary went up, but they sure took advantage of the fact. You are never treated equal in many respects. At lunch once four of us were discussing equality. One said, ‘women will never be equal to men’, I told the little group I had always been equal to a man. They laughed. I told them I do everything in our office that they do and lots of things that they don’t, I put my pants on one leg at a time like they do. The only thing I don’t do is go to the men’s john and stand up when I tinkle, but I can remedy that, by inserting a catheter. All four looked and said, ‘you wouldn’t do that would you’? I told them not to dare me.

There are a lot of men in this world that the expression ‘Chauvinistic Pig’ still fits.
