Obama and The Lion’s Den
As I look at the turmoil in Washington and all the false accusations against President Obama and what many politicians and their friends with power are trying to do. I am reminded of Daniel and the politicians of his day, as they accused him falsely. They threw Daniel in the lion’s den. But with his belief in God, he was safe.
Daniel: Chapter 6, read it.
Obama is a believer. He will win his battle, maybe not the war. It will take longer than an allotted eight years to clean up the mess he inherited. Various groups like to deny he inherited it. The people that made the mess have turned their backs and eyes and pretend they did nothing wrong. It’s always someone else’s fault. But many of them know exactly who caused our downfall and many of them are still at it. They can wreck the lives of many people with their power, but in the long run they will not win. Remember the song with the line we learned as children, ‘this I know because the Bible tells me so’, it really tells you that people with power used against God’s children will not win.

Congress Is Polarized:
Congress is polarized alright, but it really isn’t about the money involved in the bills in congress before them, so much as the power struggle in the minority party, a group that didn’t like to lose the last election.
The GOP try’s to pretend it is about the money, but they didn’t have a big problem with the money being spent when they were in power. Reagan was a big spender, GHW Bush was a big spender and Clinton spent some, but helped build some back. Yet their constant rhetoric is, ‘democrats are big spenders’, yet our records prove that to be untrue.
Then GW Bush spent like a drunken sailor or airman, even though he had sworn off the ‘sauce and other stuff’, except ‘power’. The records prove they are not conservative with ‘our’ money. I’m sure they are with their own personal fortunes, as they do not have to spend any of their own to accomplish all their goal of putting everyone else under their heels, they use the help from the lobbyists and corporate friends and just recently ‘the radical republican supreme court’ really swung things their way. And we the people pay all of that sorry bunch’s salaries, benefits, pensions, why? They really do not work for we the people, just a few of them.
They are really having a ball trying to make sure our ‘young black upstart’ (their words, overheard) does not succeed as President. One oldie was heard to say, it’s not ‘seemingly’. Don’t you love their Christian compassion? Actually they are a bunch of hypocrites and we have had a bunch of democrats that have joined them. What a shame for the poor and middle class people that helped elect them, that have the old racial prejudice inbred in them. I wonder how our Maker will judge them?

The Terrible Sin of Hate:
Today when I opened my computer I found another letter from someone I have known since he was a child and have always been very fond of him, his parents and brothers and sisters. But I am also disturbed by some of the content of mail from him. Many are enjoyable, interesting and I like to receive them. Many are reminders of the old days; many are along very religious lines and about being a Christian. And at other times they are terrible distorted articles that are very upsetting. The only place I have to go and try to repute some of the things they say is The Holy Bible, as this is the book that most Christians believe in and try to live by.
This one today was a bunch of derogatory crap about President Barack Obama. With a picture of him visiting a Mosque and stating he never goes to church on Sunday and there are no news stories or photos of him and his family attending church services. Which is not true. I read, have you not, in the Good Book, St. Matthew, Chapter 6, verses 1 through 8 (the part printed in red--the words of Christ) and it states: “Take heed that ye do not do your alms before men, to be seen by them; otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore, when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do, in the synagogues, and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you they have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth. That thy alms may be in secret, and thy Father, which seeth in secret, himself, shall reward thee openly.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are; for they love to pray standing in the synagogues, and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward the openly. But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do, for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be ye not therefore like unto them; for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask him.” (Read the rest of the chapter, but these first verses are very enlightening).
They seemed to be upset that President Obama, will go to a Muslim Mosque and pray, with Muslims! My, my and that’s supposed to be really bad? You can go any place you wish or invited to pray, I have. They seem to insinuate that this is an insult to our Founding Fathers! Big deal, many of them were hypocrites also. Even in the Qur’an it states; The, greatest of the Divine messages hitherto given to humanity, because it was a message for the whole of humanity, compared with the smaller messages to this or that nation. It was moreover, the most complete message. It gave the great news that the whole of humanity, not this or that nation, would receive life through it.
Now all of you good people; I believe in Jesus Christ and that is exactly what he told us. He died due to the hands of many who hated him and gave his life for our lousy souls, all of humanity.
Not just this nation that many claim was built on Christian principles, it had not even been discovered yet, but both he and his Father knew what was coming. I don’t think Jesus Christ would appreciate, using his name under such circumstances, nor would God really like the idea that this nation thinks that HE and his SON only belong to one set of people in one nation. We all belong God and to his Son for giving his life for, again I say our lousy souls.
I have always found it to be very strange, that people with some semblance of common sense or intelligence do not know that Muslims believe in God, the same God we believe in, they call him by a different name, they speak a different language. All nations of people believe in God, the Supreme Power, Deity, Jehovah or Allah. Each of them have, a different way of praying or practicing their religion. We in a nation of many Christians, with many different denominations of religions, practice and have different rules in each of their church. I have even heard many different groups say, they are the only church and that to get to heaven, you have to go through them. I had a great friend, a Priest of a Catholic church and we used to discuss religion a lot, he said, ‘Evelyn, any religion is better than none’. That is true, our God gave all of us the same privileges, rules and with no special privileges to any one human being, no matter your station in life, or the color of your skin, nor the church you attended or if any. I read a saying once and don’t know who wrote it, ‘God loves everyone, but probably prefers ‘fruits of the spirit’ over ‘religious nuts’!
In all my years of searching in the Good Book, that the majority of we Christians use, I have never found any mention of the color of God’s are Jesus Christ’s skin. I have made the statement to many people that have made derogatory remarks about black people in my presence, ‘what are you going to do when you get to heaven (all people seen to plan on going) and find out God might be black’? Many acted like I had committed heresy. Some minds are like concrete thoroughly, mixed up and permanently set, so they will probably expect ‘separate, but equal waiting rooms’.
I do not know what clothes Jesus wore, I do know he did not wear a suit and a tie, nor nicely polished shoes. All the pictures in our ‘Christian’ Good Book show him wearing a white sheet (sort of) just like the Muslim’s do, (some, not all). They do remove their shoes when they enter the Mosque to pray. Other various religions do also. Many people remove their shoes in their homes. A few years ago the hippy group wore ‘Jesus sandals’ or that’s what they called them and people of many nations do not have any shoes at all. Removing ones shoes is a sign of respect. When I was a child we always had to wear a bonnet or hat over our head when we entered church. You must always cover your shining glory, was the expression my Father used. I didn’t think my hair was a shinning glory. I had one sister with beautiful red hair, now she had the shinning glory. But to this day at 82, I’m usually the only little old lady with a hat on when I do go inside a church. Muslim women, all of them do, many outside of the church. That is their rules and most abide by it.
Either way, God made us all to live on this earth. We cannot even do that peacefully. I imagine God will talk to us about that one day. To bad we can’t take the gift of life and this wonderful planet he gave us and be grateful. All we do is destroy it and hate anyone different than we, why? It really isn’t good for your soul; dislike maybe, but not hate.
I don’t know if the ‘Devil’ did it or not, but we seem to blame him in lieu of ourselves for our attitudes. I’m best or better than you are, your wrong and I am right, I’m rich and you are poor, I want what you have, I’m bigger than you are I can whip you, and many do, your Mother wears combat boots, was a great ones with the kids years ago, then the yah, yah, yah. Nobody proves anything, nor gets to keep anything, as the one gift God did not give us was immortality, he knew better, so we better make good use of our allotted time on this earth. Our warranty really does expire at God’s given time.
To bad we cannot accept our world and the people he made to live in it and be grateful. No one is anymore special in his eyes than any other human being on this earth, we better get used to the fact. Just pray and ask God to help you not be against any of his people, even though all people of all nations to do bad things. Just try to keep yourself from being one of them.
All of us are forgiven our sins, except for the one biggie. Matthew: Chapter 12, verses 31 and 32,

Now since I got really upset at the type of stupid propaganda that is sent around the world day after day by people about President Barack Obama. I know the reason, so do many people. When I ask people for their reason for not voting for Barack Obama, even though they have always been a democrat, or once were, the first thing they say is ‘its not because he black’ it happens ever time.
One doth protest too much. I really, really know about all of our old southern politicians that were born and bred with the hate in them I was born among them, and the young ones born after our civil rights were passed in 1965, honey, its in the blood, sort of an southern ancestral pride. If they still live in the south, its really strong stuff. If their ancestors had moved north after l863, as they could no longer have slaves and had their land taken, many that kept their land were to lazy to work all of it, without slaves, left the south but they took along the good old racial hatred. It never got out of their system. Many of our freed black people moved away. Our white trash in the south really had a problem, even they didn’t have as many people to look down on, but they still hang on to the hatred. It seems to be the only real strong emotion they have. And I know to be a fact, and a truer word I have never spoken. Many of these people are family and friends and I hurt for them.
Everyone, of the politicians that are against President Barack Obama, is strictly because his skin is black. He is a mix of white and black, as some of them are; many of us from the south have a tinge, and there was a time when many wouldn’t admit to having American Indian blood. We need to check everyone’s DNA we just might end part of our problem in America. To them he is black and they do not even consider that he is also white. To many of them it is as if his Mother never was. Rather like some of the Jewish haters, they do not like to admit that Jesus Christ and his parents were Jewish.
It is not that he is doing everything wrong, he might do something’s wrong, but everything he has tried to do has been for the good of this country and our people that are doing without. I think the rich and powerful in this country feel like, he is trying to take from the rich and give to the poor. He is not, but feels that they should on their own. I will quote once again from the Good Book. II Timothy: Chapter 6, Verses 17-19;
“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy. That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate, laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.”
That is all you will receive from this earth is his promise, IF……..

BEWARE OF THE FALSE THINGS
BEWARE OF THE FALSE THINGS:
Any person with an ounce of decency and half a brain that heard the President’s speech on healthcare reform and did not understand the truth and reasoning for the importance of this bill will never be able to understand anything of true value to the disenfranchised citizens of this country.
As I watched all the republicans saying the American people didn’t want this bill amazed me. These old guys don’t know all the people in their own state much less all the American people. Why do they keep saying that? Do they really expect people to believe their lies? I am older than dirt and sit in a position to watch everything they say and do, plus I read and check out all this crap that they keep spouting (both sides) and I have lived long enough to tell when they are not telling the truth. I never voted for Lyndon Johnson, as he was a fence straddler, playing both sides against the middle. The only things he ever did good was Medicare and the Civil
Rights after he became President. Back through the years these politicians say one thing and then next time it comes up they change and say just the opposite, why simply politics, they are not interested in the people, just their own greed and who gives them the most money and power under the table.
When they go home and talk to their “constituents” which are just the people that voted for them, and not all of them, just the ones running their party and wealthy friends and corporations that want them to vote on bills that they want passed, which is actually about 25% of the citizens of that state, the ones who have money and power. The other 75% are the disenfranchised that have no voice in politics they just have to take what they get, which isn’t very damn much. We have states, such as
Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and Texas, that I know about personally that are full of poor disenfranchised people and these states are ruled by a bunch of power hungry politicians, some of which had some money when they started, but many have become wealthy on the backs of the poor working people of those states, as that is who helps pay their salaries, benefits, pensions and traveling expenses. They really get the big bucks from the large
Corporations. They are all a bunch of avarice-ridden crooks. I think the poor people think that if I vote for them and follow, some of the good things they are getting might rub off on me. Sorry folks, it doesn’t work that way. In case you didn’t hear the remark by the Senator Jim Bunning R-KY say about not voting on passing the extension for unemployment it was “tough-shit”. He finally agreed to, voting yes after much hassle, plus he want be, there next go around. Other politicians in his state talked him out of running.
Many poor people in those states, plus many others do not have any medical coverage, unless they are 65 and draw Social Security and Medicare, which many keep calling an entitlement, it is not an entitlement; it is the Federal Insurance Contribution Act (FICA), an insurance program paid out of wages. Benefits are distributed according to the amount paid and years worked. Sort, of a poor man’s pension plan. Medicare is also is taken from wages. The deduction is about 1.5 percent, plus a matching amount from the employer. So actually it is not really an entitlement. We just have only paid into since 1965 and healthcare for our oldest, sickest, neediest citizens cost 3 percent in the public sector. This great cost in our Medicare program is caused by greed and fraud. If we could get a price control on all things in this country and eliminate the fraud, 50 percent of the cost of Medicare could be eliminated. The politicians, that do not want healthcare reform, keep saying our President is going to cut Medicare 50 percent, which is another of the fabulous lies they keep spreading. They try to scare the crap out of people. (I love to quote from the Good Book; Isaiah, Chapter 35, verse 4, “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, be strong, fear not; behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God, with recompense; he will come and save you.”) They are worse than any terrorist from another country and it is against all the citizens of this country that they are supposed to represent. Sorry folks these guys are not for you they are against you. Wake up; they are more of us than there is of them. There are only 535 of them in congress and not all of them are against us, just a lot of them. Stand up and fight for what you believe is right.
We have a plotting of the wicked going on in this world and always have had; rulers of countries and many denominations of religions that are supposed to be spreading the word of God have used the people who follow them to become rich and powerful. They tell you that your salvation depends on them. It doesn’t that is up to God. Most of them are false prophets and use you for their power. Governments and leaders of countries do the same thing. Many claim to believe in God, but evidently they do not or they wouldn’t do the dastardly things they do to the people in their country. All through the bible it tells you how to treat people. Especially the poor and the needy and that your thirst for riches and power will not get you though the pearly gates.
I remember the many things from my early life and noticed the difference in people’s treatment of other people different than they were and wondered why. I hated the wars and things countries did to their people and each other. I was always interested in politics and watching the pro and con of all parties in this big fiasco. When I really noticed the big change (probably because of more coverage by television and newspapers) was after the assassination of President Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King by our homegrown terrorist. That’s when I realized to what extent political parties and their radical propaganda would possess people to do such terrible things. But when I really noticed the absolute evil in politics was in 1981 when
Reagan the Radical Republican became President, with Bush the chronic political hack as his Vice-President. The things they did with help of advisors and over blown military to the Middle East, made the hate of the western world worse. Eight years of that nearly sunk us financially. He did some good, then hit a big snagged in regard to his personal life, but he fought on and brought us partially out of the hole financially, even with the Bosnia fiasco and no help from republicans. Bush the village idiot with lots of money backing and all the big mouth hacks with power got him assigned President by the republican backed Supreme Court. He wasn’t really elected by we the people, his presidency was bought and at what a price. Into the hole we went again. We were just starting to come alive again in a small way as a country, but when we got another republican named Bush for president, the Middle East had had enough. They knew what he was after, the oil rich Middle East. It was already on the drawing board and 9-11 happened, just what he needed for a good excuse to go after Iraq and Saddam Hussein (I remember him saying, he tried to kill my Daddy) but he went after Afghanistan first, stayed for a little while then headed for Iraq with no legitimate reason. That jerk really put us in the hole and made us hated all around the world. All his talk about making the Iraq people free by getting rid of Saddam and all his cohorts saying the war wouldn’t cost us anything. It did it cost us many of our soldiers and lots of Iraq’s people and money we will never be able to repay (as it as all borrowed) and a country all shot to hell that we have been paying to rebuild (Cheney’s Halliburton and it’s many affiliates got rich off of rebuilding it). I listened to a reporter who has been over in Iraq getting all the details since the war started and was discussing the new election coming up. He stated that approximately 75 percent of the Iraqi people he interviewed said if Saddam Hussein was on the ballot they would vote for him. So I guess the Iraqi people weren’t so delighted about Bush getting rid of Saddam Hussein. I don’t know about the rich of this world, but I bet you a dime that the majority of the poor and middle class hope never to see a republican in power again. It seems money of this earth can by anything, but one thing it can’t by you is a peaceful afterlife. Maybe they think they are immortal.
Again I am going to quote from the Good Book; Isaiah,
Chapter 32, beginning with verse 5 though 8. “The vile person shall no more be called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful. For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and to utter against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry; and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand”. So this old liberal person will stop venting my spleen for now.
Any person with an ounce of decency and half a brain that heard the President’s speech on healthcare reform and did not understand the truth and reasoning for the importance of this bill will never be able to understand anything of true value to the disenfranchised citizens of this country.
As I watched all the republicans saying the American people didn’t want this bill amazed me. These old guys don’t know all the people in their own state much less all the American people. Why do they keep saying that? Do they really expect people to believe their lies? I am older than dirt and sit in a position to watch everything they say and do, plus I read and check out all this crap that they keep spouting (both sides) and I have lived long enough to tell when they are not telling the truth. I never voted for Lyndon Johnson, as he was a fence straddler, playing both sides against the middle. The only things he ever did good was Medicare and the Civil
Rights after he became President. Back through the years these politicians say one thing and then next time it comes up they change and say just the opposite, why simply politics, they are not interested in the people, just their own greed and who gives them the most money and power under the table.
When they go home and talk to their “constituents” which are just the people that voted for them, and not all of them, just the ones running their party and wealthy friends and corporations that want them to vote on bills that they want passed, which is actually about 25% of the citizens of that state, the ones who have money and power. The other 75% are the disenfranchised that have no voice in politics they just have to take what they get, which isn’t very damn much. We have states, such as
Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and Texas, that I know about personally that are full of poor disenfranchised people and these states are ruled by a bunch of power hungry politicians, some of which had some money when they started, but many have become wealthy on the backs of the poor working people of those states, as that is who helps pay their salaries, benefits, pensions and traveling expenses. They really get the big bucks from the large
Corporations. They are all a bunch of avarice-ridden crooks. I think the poor people think that if I vote for them and follow, some of the good things they are getting might rub off on me. Sorry folks, it doesn’t work that way. In case you didn’t hear the remark by the Senator Jim Bunning R-KY say about not voting on passing the extension for unemployment it was “tough-shit”. He finally agreed to, voting yes after much hassle, plus he want be, there next go around. Other politicians in his state talked him out of running.
Many poor people in those states, plus many others do not have any medical coverage, unless they are 65 and draw Social Security and Medicare, which many keep calling an entitlement, it is not an entitlement; it is the Federal Insurance Contribution Act (FICA), an insurance program paid out of wages. Benefits are distributed according to the amount paid and years worked. Sort, of a poor man’s pension plan. Medicare is also is taken from wages. The deduction is about 1.5 percent, plus a matching amount from the employer. So actually it is not really an entitlement. We just have only paid into since 1965 and healthcare for our oldest, sickest, neediest citizens cost 3 percent in the public sector. This great cost in our Medicare program is caused by greed and fraud. If we could get a price control on all things in this country and eliminate the fraud, 50 percent of the cost of Medicare could be eliminated. The politicians, that do not want healthcare reform, keep saying our President is going to cut Medicare 50 percent, which is another of the fabulous lies they keep spreading. They try to scare the crap out of people. (I love to quote from the Good Book; Isaiah, Chapter 35, verse 4, “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, be strong, fear not; behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God, with recompense; he will come and save you.”) They are worse than any terrorist from another country and it is against all the citizens of this country that they are supposed to represent. Sorry folks these guys are not for you they are against you. Wake up; they are more of us than there is of them. There are only 535 of them in congress and not all of them are against us, just a lot of them. Stand up and fight for what you believe is right.
We have a plotting of the wicked going on in this world and always have had; rulers of countries and many denominations of religions that are supposed to be spreading the word of God have used the people who follow them to become rich and powerful. They tell you that your salvation depends on them. It doesn’t that is up to God. Most of them are false prophets and use you for their power. Governments and leaders of countries do the same thing. Many claim to believe in God, but evidently they do not or they wouldn’t do the dastardly things they do to the people in their country. All through the bible it tells you how to treat people. Especially the poor and the needy and that your thirst for riches and power will not get you though the pearly gates.

I hated the wars and things countries did to their people and each other. I was always interested in politics and watching the pro and con of all parties in this big fiasco. I heard old Jon Kyl R-AZ, say in regard to extending unemployment benefits, “let them get off their fat ass and go to work”. Now here is a brilliant republican!!! That is a marvelous idea. Stop all salaries, benefits, pensions and traveling expenses for all members of congress that are not working for we the citizens of the United States. That is what we have been paying for as taxpayers. We can put all their pensions back into our treasury. Our ordinary working people that got laid off got all these things taken away from them.
It has always been the rule that if you do not work, you do not get paid. Saying NO and flapping your mouth and gripping about everything, is not working. They have a job and they are not working at it. They have one of those iron-clad contracts that our stupid government gave them after they put forth the legislation and then passed it. So we can’t fire them and the people in their states keep electing them for their promises and pork that they bring home to the wealthy and corporations. It would take forever to impeach them for being a bunch of power hungry avarice ridden old fools that have no interest in the people of their state, just themselves, so; if we cut all of their goodies, they will not work for nothing (but with all they have stolen, they can survive for quite a while) and maybe they will quit. They will not be able to draw unemployment if they quit. I think it would be a good start to finally have a price control on everything in the United States.
